I have recently been using Pointui (the newest version.. you can get it here: http://pointui.com/) and thought it would be nice to have my contact app match my home screen and everything else of Pointui.
So.. here it is!
Update:
.....For different bubble types, go to post #8! (here)
.....Landscape phonepad issue fixed.
.....There are now TWO versions.. Black and Blue
There is no screenshot for the blue version (had no time), but it is all the same as the black theme except for the color changes to match the blue of Pointui.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Important to know in order to use this theme:
........new layout of settings panel means that you must hold down the upper left hand settings cog to get to the settings panel. It will load slowly the first time you do it, however after that it is instant.
........press the upper left hand settings cog to get the phonepad.
........press the upper right hand arrow to get to the filterlist (main contact, contact with sms, contact by business, favorite contacts, etc). This is only in the Favorites view, the All Contacts view, and the Contacts with SMS view. The arrow is Cancel and Back button in all other pages.
........the lower bar is the button that takes you between Contacts with SMS and All Contacts. If you find it too difficult to press it (I have an HTC Touch so it is very easy), you can always just press the upper right hand arrow to navigate to whichever page you want instantly.
........a finger swipe left or right horizontally will bring you to the favorites page
........there is a yellow speak box that appears in the bottom right hand corner that will alert you of how many new texts you have. It will go away after a while and will reappear each time you switch between pages.
........I recommend that you turn on "Show Favorite Icon" in the options of PocketCM Contacts
........Separators and Contact list pictures are disabled even if you try to turn them on
Download PocketCM Contacts v.20b HERE
Download PocketCM Keyboard v0.14 HERE if you want my skin
Download PointUI v1.02b HERE
I think that's it!
LANDSCAPE IS FULLY SUPPORTED!
The screenshots are below in a .zip file, if you would rather see them in your webpage.. go HERE
Download the htctoucher PointUI.zip or htctoucher Pointui Blue.zip, sync with your device and drag the .zip into your PocketCM Contacts folder in Program Files.. then select it in options.
Enjoy!
I had forgotten to post up my keyboard skins.. they match pretty well.. attached screenshot and .zips
.....In order of left to right the screenshots are: htctoucher Pointui darkbg and htctoucher Pointui Touchpal (this keyboard skin has the animation of touchpal when pressed)
There is no screenshot of htctoucher Pointui Lightbg to make room for the Blue version of my theme. The only difference is a lighter background (like the touchpal one).
can you update your link to the specific topic at pocketcm phorum.. the one you gave just points to the index

New Variant - SMS Gradient Bubbles with Arrows
I have created different variants for both the Blue and Black versions of this theme.. attached is a screenshot
The bubbles were taken from my other theme (16 variant theme.. link below in my signature)
Enjoy!
thanks,
htctoucher
the theme variant in the first post is Gradient No Arrows, featured in the screenshots in the first post, but not in this one.
This sucks, I love the theme & would like to get it but my bubble look terrible, not quite a bubble, it is deformed in a way, it does't look like the pics posted, it has sort of a barthat attaches to it, has anyone else encountered this as well???

Could you possibly do this for me.. as I remember you had this problem on my other theme as well:
1. Download MagicSS here
2. Sync your device to your computer and run the .exe file which will install MagicSS on your device.
3. Go into settings on your device, then buttons, and set one of your hard buttons to MagicSS in the drop down menu
4. Open up PocketCM Contacts and while in the SMS Bubble view, press the hard button you mapped MagicSS to and then save the screencapture somewhere (preferably to your storage card so you can drag it back onto your desktop through snyc)
5. Attach the file either to a PM or post it here so I can look at it and know exactly what you are talking about.
Also.. check that you are using PCMContacts v.20b and a QVGA screen
Other than that, I really do not know how to help you.. thats so weird that the only problem you are having is the bubbles..
see if you can do the above steps and I will see if I can help you, although I am not sure if I will be able to since it seems it is specific to your device.

having an Samsung SGH-i780 phone and thus a 320x320 screen means that your beautifull theme is not working as it should. So what about an update for these square screens?
Anyone knows how do I install Pocket Calendar ?
Hi,
Works great...except:
1. What is the easiest way to access contacts? I have a touch and the only way I found is to go to the phone and select contacts.
2. What is the easiest way to get out of contacts?
Thanks.

1. I put a shortcut in my cube so it is really easy to get to. If you are willing to do this I can tell you how, you will basically have to edit one of the shortcuts already in your cube to PocketCM. You can also put it in your start menu.
2. Tap on the upper right hand corner of the screen when in PocketCM, it will minimize (not close) the program.
I thought the UI program can be run by itself without PocketCM

It can, this theme combined with PocketCM just makes it so your SMS chat and contacts looks as if it is part of Pointui
All functioning and even the screen orientation icons make sense now.
Thanks to icons mostly from here:

http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21456
http://www.bilgipasaji.com/forum/diger-235/23358-neon-icons.html
and some extra ones from me
Tenius.zip contains an alternative Today plug-in button...drop "today.bmp" into Main Memory\Program Files\VITO\Winterface\skins\bin
Realize weather icons from oscarbum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3032867&postcount=24
[UPDATE] Added neon weather icons to neon.zip file (adapted from original Vito icons)
[UPDATE] See post #59 for extra Neon icons in a dll file. They can be used by calling them in a .lnk file as described elsewhere in this forum.
Briefly, you make a txt file and the syntax would be, for instance:
81#"\Storage Card\Program Files\CorePlayer\player.exe"?\Storage Card\My_icons.dll,-20
where the number 20 is the icon index in the dll file. I've also attached in post #59 a png file showing the icon index number for all of the icons in the dll file.
Best of luck
Great, thank you!
That's funny. I've been working on a new theme for WAD2 using this set and it didn't occur to me to use it for WF. Nice work.
Amazing Work! Thanks
For me, THE best skin for winterface... great job, and thanks for sharing
Posted the various links for WF themes here on xda-devs...
...at blog.iwindowsmobile.com
and the moderators keep removing them.
I wonder why :-/
i think they still see skinning as hacking. but then what do they expect if they don't offer alternative themes themselves? even though the software is pretty good, many people won't buy it because of the oppressive look of the UI.
people want a constant theme running through their whole device and application UI, or they want to be able to tweak things to their satisfaction
*more people will buy the software*
hope someone from Vito reads this.
i love it man vito/iwindows should allow open skins for this it makes it more attractive...and i was think (maybe its too ipone-ish but) they should lock the bottom bar and allow us to put our most used apps/settings/contax etc there just a thought but im addin this new skin to the collection
Great! Thanx friend!
thanks for all. I like it. I love the VITO Interface but now it has a very very good look and beautiful colors...
Thanks a lot...
Just for a laugh...
...some hand-drawn icons added to first post
nice, nice... thanxx man
Nice, thanks dave
If you ever decide to do another Winterface theme...
Here's some things I've found that might save you some time....
1. Don't do a calendar icon. Winterface replaces it with the background icon in the black file and puts the date on it.
2. Don't do a clock icon. Same reason.
3. Also, the weather icon in the icons file is no longer used. It pulls the info from the weather icons.bmp.
4. On my phone anyway, Winterface doesn't use the calculator icon. Kind of an odd glitch.
5. I don't use bluetooth, so I don't know for sure, but unless the plain bluetooth icon opens bluetooth explorer, doing all three icons is pointless too.
6. This next point actually adds time, but I noticed you did not do anything with the top row contact icon. It is skinnable, you just need to make sure you do EXACTLY the same thing to the contact icon in black.bmp.
Great job, as always. I hope to be back working on more icons soon as well once I finished my Blackberry Bold theme for WAD2.
Another theme
Here's one I threw together this morning. (Are we nearing the point of simply having a Winterface theme thread?)
I don't know if I've posted the weather icons before but it goes well with the realize theme.

Although I think it does use this icon if your default calendar app is not the standard Windows one. One way of working is to have your appointments shown on S2U2 as you unlock and use a better calendar such as Thumbcal as standard
2. Don't do a clock icon. Same reason.
3. Also, the weather icon in the icons file is no longer used. It pulls the info from the weather icons.bmp.
That's another ton of work I have to do :-(
4. On my phone anyway, Winterface doesn't use the calculator icon. Kind of an odd glitch.
Mine neither, but I figured that's because I dono't use the standard calculator
5. I don't use bluetooth, so I don't know for sure, but unless the plain bluetooth icon opens bluetooth explorer, doing all three icons is pointless too.
Yes, the plain one opens Bluetooth settings
6. This next point actually adds time, but I noticed you did not do anything with the top row contact icon. It is skinnable, you just need to make sure you do EXACTLY the same thing to the contact icon in black.bmp.
I thought the very same thing this morning. My upcoming theme will change this icon as well

Should be able to post another here in a day or so, depending on whether I take on the buttons and the weather icons as well!
Good work and thanks for the tips
well i notice the slide to unlock image (lock) is messed up. also, there are pink dots on bottom left and right of bluetooth icon.
other than that they're amazing. thanks for the icons.
we are also waiting your last theme with realize icons, oscarbum.
thank you both.
is anyone else having this issue.. it's also noticed when i move icons around and when one icon goes over another, it has parts of the icon that is transparent and that's how the lock looks when it appears. this is vga supported, right? i have touch pro.
Yes, I think that's the messed up lock icon that was mentioned
on another note though, I can' get the contact pictures to work if I change any of the contact icons as you said oscarbum.
I've tried changing the two in black.bmp and the one in icons.bmp in every combination and it doesn't work.
The pictures need to work in three places in the theme:
When you view you contacts ready to dial
When you select the contact to bring up details
When you add a contact.
There is no combination of changed icons (all identical) that works.
Is there a way on the diamonds to make it so when u have tf3d turned off, you can have a normal wallpaper? I recently turned mine off, and like not having all the clock and stuff on there, but id like to have a bright wallpaper instead of it being faded out.. am i just missing a setting here?
also is there a way to change what the icons at the bottom of the screen are for? one is contacts, and one is calendar and id like to change the calendar to phone.. Thanks.. im using a stock wm 6.5 alltel rom.
Search on the forums for "Diamond Tweak", you can change the two softkeys to what you want in that.
i got that part done...any idea on how to get the wallpaper to b non transparent when tf3d isnt on?
ok so i made a discovery.. when i choose to use the default wallpaper with each theme when tf3d isnt on, the screen is not transparent.. as soon as i switch to my own background it is made transparent without an option.. can this be changed? or where are the default wallpapers so i could just rename them.
I have an t-mobile hd2, and wanted to figure out how to edit my theme
i.e. changing the tabs, amount of tabs, and the amount of apps on the home screen, and also how to change the honey comb kind of look on the start menu. if anyone can answer some questions or point me to the right thread/tutorial that would be great.
if anything at all the location of the files that i can edit this theme information would be great.
Hi... I'm not an expert myself but I'll try...
1. For your home tabs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625483
2. For home tab editor: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633590
3. For the hexagonal icons thingy for WinMo I believe its the Titanium theme. Haven't used it myself but check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508968
Have fun!!!
to change the order and remove the sense tabs simply go to the options of sense...there i can't help you because i have an italian rom
to change the amount of apps on the home screen you should try cookie mod and cht editor
Hi All, thought I would publish my first effort at a WAD2 theme. My main aim after using other peoples themes was to make one that is 'thumb friendly' and real simple to use. It has 3 menu pages with large graphical buttons, and a 'home' screen with shortcuts to txt, email and call list. this theme is 99% portrait, how ever on my touch pro 2 if i flip the keyboard and go to landscape i do have a very basic black home screen with the 3 shortcuts. If people like the theme and would like to produce their own icons, let me know and I can post up some photoshop templates.
Installation
Install the files to your normal theme directory and search for new themes, then select Angularz as your portrait and/or landscape theme. Please make sure you install the fonts prior to use, as it may not the clock etc correctly.
Fonts
I use helvetica Neue fonts in the theme and have supplied these in the zip file. I also have replaced my system font with helvetica as it looks nicer, but I will leave that down to you. If you just want to use the fonts for WAD only, place the 3 helvetica fonts in your windows folder (with the rest of the system fonts)
I think I have packaged up all the correct bits (if not please let me know!!)
PLEASE CAN A MOD ALLOW ME TO SHARE LINKS!!
This looks neat. Nice docks.
good day.
it's just WOW!!
Thankyou!, I just wanted something simple but visually nice to look at, and this is the end result!
I find that if you increase the display cache size (through altering the windows registry) it does make it scroll through pages a little smoother.
thatbastard,
I'm using your theme and IMO, it is a simple but gorgeus. However, I have a problem with all notifiers. They are not appeared when I have some unread sms or missed calls. Do you have any suggestions? My device is Omnia i8000.
hi Laruku
You can try going to author mode, then page - show notifiers. Go to the properties once held down on the notifier and have a look through there. Mine is set on 'notifier type - unread sms' etc. by default this should work, however I dont know how different it would be on an omia. have a look in there and see if anything has changed.
how do you get out of author mode
taphold at any page and you'll get yourself the popup menu, i forgot which is the get out of author mode menu,,, but it is there,,,
@thatbastard,
would you mind sharing the images? the home wallpaper is really nice.
new version of WAD converts all the images folder into .wadesktop extension,,, which prevents me for extracting the images,
thx
here's my version
hello everybody !
Here's MY angularz, i hope you'll like this.
Koralii
you can see this on Youtube : v=GXtEynNZaf4 (sorry but i'm new here and can't post the shortcut.
Great Work
Great to see an original piece of work. i will give this a shot
Thanks for adding a bit of originality to my blackstone
Mark
Looks great !!!
wow, great theme
i think i'll make some personal changes and it'd be perfect for my daily use, YO~
DOOD JOB!!
Really nice. It's a shame, imo, that windows phone7 doesn't look more like this. My only comment would be that it might look better to have the text in panels up and to the right a few pixels, and have the voicemail icon transparent. (I can only comment on the screenshot as I don't have VAD2 installed on my device...
Thought it would be handy to have a volume icon on the home screen...
Steve.
Hi all, thanks for checking out my theme, Ive glad youve all liked it. Unfortunately I dont have wisbar installed anymore (and Ive had a lot goin on recently) so will not be continuing anymore projects but I thought I would share the remaining files I have. You can continue modding from my theme as freely as you like, as long as you mention it was based on my creation

Sure, there should be a zip file with ALL the angularz images. Ive also included a new homescreen which is a gloss black version (was going to be called Mono Tonez) but it will not be finished.
Enjoy!
good looking theme
willing to release a WQVGA version?
I´m new user of wad and i don´t know how to install this theme. I´ve installed mortscript and wad, and theme in lakerbridge/themes, and fonts in windows/start menu/programs fonts folder, but I don´t know where install angularz.wadesktop
Thanks a lot of.
Uncle Google says:
1. Using ActiveSync, copy the .wadesktop file to any location on your device.
2. From your device, use File Explorer to navigate to the .wadesktop file you just placed there, then tap on it to launch it.
3. You will be prompted as to a location to place the extracted files. Choose any location you wish (I personally find it helpful to have a Themes folder set up in advance).
4. Once the files are extracted, open WisBar Advance Desktop (if it's not open already), tap and hold on the screen, then tap Change Theme.
5. Now tap Menu > Scan for Themes. When the scanning process is complete, the theme you just installed should appear on the list.
6. Tap the theme, then tap Menu. Choose the appropriate menu option for setting as portrait or landscape. Please note that theme files are usually designed for one orientation or the other.
7. Tap Apply and you're done.
This should get you set up.
Thank you, uncle...
I´ll try.
