Is it possible to get Edge working on WM6? Is there a setting that I need to input somewhere or a connection that I need to setup?
I have tried WM6 roms P3 and the newest underground rom and cant get edge to work. Everything works on WM5 roms. Please help me out, guys.

I'm looking to buy an SX66. I had a few questions:
1. Is there are ROM Kitchen to cook an updated ROM for the SX66?
2. What is the latest ROM version for the SX66?
3. If I buy an unlocked Cingular version SX66, what problems could I expect using it with T-Mobile or other carrier?
TIA,
Joe

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I'll sort through your links and see if I can make out the answers.
Honestly piecing together a ROM is a bit beyond me, but I'll see what I can understand.
It was much easier with the old ROM Kitchens.
Thank you again for your help.

Great info in these links.
Thanks again

Happy reading!
I am thinking about buying an unlocked Cingular version of this phone.
I would use it for my T-Mobile service and would use it on asian carriers while travelling. vDo you know of any problem in the cingular rom that will cause me problems with email or gprs on other systems (assuming the phone is indeed unlocked)
Can you give me your opinion?
Thank you
Sorry can't answer dont know anything about that device, have no link to web page. But if its the same as the siemens as in a GSM phone you will be fine. As or the rest well yo can cook it.
Hey Joe, I bought the SX66 from a Cingular store a few weeks ago to use on T-Mobile. It's been working fine, GPRS included.
Out of the box, I had to remove the Cingular stuff and set up the GPRS connection manually (I just changed the APN to wap.voicestream.com). After reading the forums here for a while, I installed the Siemens update to 1.33, then I got more creative and installed the Radio ROM 1.10 and cooked up my own ExtROM. If you go this route, look in the Kitchen for T-Mo USA cabs that will set up GPRS and proxy settings for you.
If you need help, PM me. Good luck!
There is a file pda2K_2k5.rar on FTP that contains the WM5 ROM for BlueAngel. Origin of the file is unknown, flashing it to my device showed that it is really a WM5 ROM that is working. The OS version is 5.1.1700 build 14343, it has MS bluetooth stack and no camera. The camera drivers are present, so I think it would be possible to extract app from Himalaya ROM.
It has no MMS application and no SIM toolkit.
I've repartitioned DOC, so now I have 61Mb storage area and 128Mb RAM that are fully accessible.
All hardware buttons are working, and the keyboard is working fine, though there is no control panel applet that allows you to turn off its backlight.
Making hardreset is tricky - you have to press camera, record, power and reset buttons simultaneously. There you'll have a choice to use debugger (something about KITL), reset registry and format built-in storage. Navigation in menu is done with camera and record buttons, exit - "mail" button.
Thanks download now .
great it working thanks
So glad I worked late tonight...
Unbelievable!
Awesome etc.
I think the simplest thing to say is: THANK YOU!
That will not stop me from buying a native WM5 PDAphone like the Universal or the Wizard, but still I'm really happy this happened. If only that could force O2, I-Mate, Qtek etc. to sell an official upgrade, that would be nice...
Until now, I had to put my BA in reserve and used my XDAII for everyday for a single problem: BT!!! Maybe the MS stack here will do as good as the one in my XDAII 1.72. Just need my GPS and headset to work properly. The rest is luxury at this point.
BTW, Mamaich, is the procedure similar as the one for Himalaya WM5? Any difference?
Cheers,
Hal
Mamaich, it's time to make tweaking for the camera and especially the O/S speed.. :?
Did someone take down that RAR file? I can't seems to find it anywhere under BA section on the FTP site.

It would not work on any device other than BA.

At first we need a ROM image rom Universal or better an official ROM update.
unbelievable brother mamaich...but its true...
Erm...
This is not the same file as on Buzzdev.net is it?
The version is different.
Think I'd have better luck with this one?
Hi Mamaich,
I installed WM5.0 on my PDA2k but unlike you, i only got 49MB storage space. How is it that you got 61MB while i got only 49MB. What did i do wrong?
Also, why am i not able to synchronise with outlook after the rom upgrade?
Thirdly, i can pair my BT headset with my PDA2k but it does not transfer any calls to the headset. I tried using a BT GPS and that works perfectly fine. What do u suppose the problem is?
Would appreciate your comments.
UD.
Has anyone here yet or not weather or not this will work with Sprint or Verizon CDMA phones yet?
Wherez the ROM on the FTP, i searched but i couldnt find it. Its not under BA. Where is it? Is it different from the one that Buzz had on his site?

Still no luck with VZW CDMA, and I haven't heard of a successful case yet.
Yes, the file is the same as the one on Buzz's site.

Hi all
I´ve searched the registry with no luck at all... Is there anyway to lower the backlight brightness? Cause like this it drains the battery really fast! Rudra was right :?
Hey btw i´ve tried my Bt headset and it works better than before!! at least i can go like 5 - 6 meters from my phone and still hear the caller
Hi, the G icon has disappeared from the top bar after installing Helmi's latest WM5 rom on my blueangel... One of the reasons for upgrading was to use push mail functionality and I can't do this since it does not seem do be able to connect via gprs even tough I set up the connection under "settings".
I am on virgin UK if that helps.
Thanks for any answers !
anyone ? I would like to know who to "reactivate" gprs...
Have you had a look around for a cab with the vodafone settings? This is usually the best way to set it up IMHO.
vodafone ? but i'm on virgin (using the T mobile network I think).
I've tried to install this cab but noticed no difference even after soft reset...
any other ideas ? I am a bit confused as to why it does not work after upgrading to WM5
Well i downgraded to WM2003 yesterday and straight back onto WM5 and it did the trick ! The g icon reappeared... Still a mystery to me but at least it works now.
I just moved from an MDA running WM5 to a 750. I see there's an update for it to WM6. What's been the feedback about the WM6 official ATT ROM? I have a TomTom Go 720 that I use. I'm using bluetooth DUN to get traffic info over the ATT network. I know I'll have to do the WM6 DUN hack, but other than that are there any issues with the ROM? I've also heard HSDPA isn't as fast. Can I get some feedback from people running the ROM?
Thanks.
Do it, you won't look back
More stable, faster data, all your currently functionality will remain intact
Cheers
hi! i am new at the forum and i have been looking how to get my shift fully operable. i have also liberated the wm6 side so i have now a full wm operative sistem. but when i have tried to connect to the built-in gps with google maps, it doesn't give me any signal, it doesn't get any satellite. i don't know how to configure the gps to have it working, i don't even know what's the com port of the gps neither the baud rate of it, so i cant get it working. do someone know how to fix that problem? is there any program or something that brings functionality to gps?
thanks for the help!
you need to flash any rom from this forum. Liberating is not enough.
And you need to applys HardSPL first.
any side effects?
Hi, thanks for the answer. i have been looking for "cooked roms" and i've found some ones. but i am not quite sure of doing the process of hard-spl and rom flashing... I wondered if doing this would eliminate some functions of the shift, like mobile internet sharing with vista or backlight luminance level misfunction... shared functions, for short. do you know if that is possible?
thanks for the help!

It depends on the roms. Mine have all functions activated, and work like a snapvue liberated with GPS
