What are the benefits of this radio version? I mean what is different? When was it released? It is deffinately newer than the version I have. I just can't afford to miss calls while connected to GPRS. have you tried if that works?
Nevermind. I'll try it. Will report back after I tested it.
No missed calls so far txt goes through while connected to gprs seems to work better.
haven't tested battery drain yet
in htc wizard unfortunately there is no solution for when u connect gprs.you will miss all you calls toward to you when you connect gprs(my gsm company send me a sms when i got miss call)3G phones or pdas is one of the solution of course...anyway in this radio your advantages good reception, right battery percentage reading on windows mobile 6.1,no miss calls,no miss sms, pick up the signal quickly when you get low signal area etc....more people should test and they must relase their experience of course...cheers
odd. I got my calls through when I installed this radio. didnt loose any battery untill I did some heavy using of internet. ( I was downloading things) I was also at a bar all evening without reception and I see what you mean about picking up signal again quicker. right on!
Everything is f9 on this Radio, but i culdnt check GPRS problem becoz y use GPRS when u have a 768KBps Broadband Cable Internet Connection at your home? and which i can use using a Wireless router on my PPC.
lol. I don't have hi speed internet at home so I'm always on gprs. and this is the best signal I have. I haven't used my phone as a wireless router yet though. that's something to look into.
and I dont get missed calls or missed sms while connected to gprs.

Very rightly said, everyone doesn't have a high speed internet at home, secondly you don't carry around the Broadband Cable Internet Connection where ever you go,what wud you do if you have to immediately check your mails or need to work on the net, perhaps rush back to your home, leaving the job at hand to get access to the internet
The very basic feature of the 'GPRS' is to have the internet in your pocket and at hand, whenever required.
Besides,if you have a high speed Broadband cable connection at hand, then why access internet via PPC through wireless router, why not with pc ?

Hey,hey,! be careful there, mind your words, you might get banned if reported or noted by the moderator, don't prove to be over smart, don't kid me ok,I'm right here in Lahore, with an Edge connection and broadband cable 512 kpbs and 'DSL' running at 1mb right now at my home,Why shud I be jealous!!! if you had not tested the gprs issue, then you don't have to post an answer.
hey guys, finally switched over to at&t from tmobile, so i FINALLY have 3G! and to boot, down here in miami, we have HSDPA! so anyways, i wanted to know what are some ways you guys use it? as in streaming media, podcasts, etc.. any ideas would be great, cuz i'm brand new to the world of 800 kbs/sec internet!
Do yourself a favor and download a program called "advanced configuration tool". In the "buttons" area, put a button 5 called 3G.
Personally, I keep 3G turned off, unless I want to look up something on the web.
I get a lot better battery life out of 2G (Edge) than 3G, which eats up the battery. Only downshot is that if you are on the phone, you can't receive email
at the same time. Lots of other tweaks in the advanced configuration tool, you'll have to ask others on XDA what works best.
Hmm what to use it for? The same you'd do with EDGE but faster?
Personally I don't consider 3G as useful on the phone itself, but rather when tethering with the laptop.
I have a HTC tilt with Ultimate-X2.V11 -23017 unlocked. I got this phone so I could get my emails from gmail via wifi so I would not have to get a new more expensive mobile network plan. I figured since my school has total wifi coverage over campus this could work. I am hearing that the solution is not that simple though since I would have to have wifi on constantly and that would eat the battery too fast, or that I could set some sort of scheduler to check wifi. So does anyone know how to set this up?
I figured that I would use noData.cab to disable other signals but that is only part of the solution.
I have been testing out 3 roms a day and so far EnergyRom has the best one for internet any recomendations
Internet usage doesn't really explain what you NEED, do you mean as in 3G or as in Wifi? Roms don't really mattar honestly as I flashed over atleast a 100 ROMS, its just your Radio for your Cell Phone Provider or your wifi router coverage.
i mean like the speed u get from the internet 3g or wifi cuz i see a difference between rom to rom
thread closed, not about rom development
Hi guys,
I'm currently running Deepshining v7.2 and I noticed my Wifi speeds are no where near my 3g speed. Is there a fix for this without putting my phone into airplane mode when I want to use wifi? I'd like to use my wifi at home to use less data and be able to receive calls/text. By the way, all other phone/pc work fine with the router that I'm using so that is not the issue.
Thank you for your help.
Deepshining ROM contains a Radio.
trying flashing a different Radio. link to all Schubert Radios in my signature.
what does the radio have to do with my WiFi? Don't all roms come with a radio?
yes all roms come with radio, and diff radios respond differently to each phone.
some get better responce (work better) and some dont
so do what sh4d0w86 has stated and try diff radio to fix your problem
cheers and have a gr8 day
thanks button is next to qoute button
Sorry but i don't see any correlation between te radio and WiFi. Can someone explain?
Radio controls all wireless connectivity.
its possible if u change the registry power state to 0 ( full power) u may see some improvements in speed.
I loaded the latest EU radio on mine, and I am tmous. Made a huge difference and I am getting fast connects to WiFi, and great throughput
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Maybe u mordem got some problem, don't just pay attention to ur phone, ur phone can't connect to wifi just by itslef。。。。
My fiance's HD7 has encountered the exact same problem lately. When in the house, her wifi connection is painfully slow. It's not the broadband or the modem as my Galaxy s2, xbox, PS3, media streamer, laptop etc have no problems with speed or connection. It's so bad that even switching wi-fi off improves the connection, even though 3G is quite patchy at our house.
Now that she's at work however, her GPRS/3G connection is running slow too. Anyone got any idea what this might be?
have you tried flashing a different Radio??
or perhaps try a different ROM, if using a Custom ROM?
Not tried that. Where would I find that and is there a guide on how to do that?
