My first thread..

Hi people, my name is Erdinç and I live in Belgium, just new here on XDA-Developers, I bought my HTC Desire about a year ago without even knowing about S-OFF'ing and rooting an Android phone, I just liked the phone overall and the processor about being fast enough untill just about 2 days earlier..
All that time I just waited for the official 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM to expect huge differences on the phone, well how about that, waited for nothing! The reason for that is that I saw on youtube video's and some pictures some cool different looking HTC Desire screens and I thought, damn, I want that too, unfortunatly just about 2 days earlier I managed to acknowledge that those cool looking screens were rooted devices with customized ROM's, what the meaning it was and how to do all those stuff! Had to do a research WAY earlier!
So basicly I wanted to thank the XDA-team to help me learning all this stuff and be the boss of my own phone, I wanted to post this in the Development section under the type of ROM i managed to get it working without any obstacles, sure I had some burnout's here and there as a rookie but thanks to this forum all my questions were answered without even starting a new thread, that's why I'm posting my first thread here.
S-OFF'ed and rooted my official 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM using the Revolutionary method, partitioned my SD Card and flashed the ROM LeeDrOiD HD v3.3.3-port-R5 A2SD with the Sense 3.0 using ROM Manager, all these steps worked perfectly! Tried over 5 to 6 different customized ROM's but this one suits my needs.
So now I'm pretty sure that I'm not a part of the noob-video at the register page
Again, Thanks guys, really made my day, I have a feeling that I have a completely different phone in my hand. I hope these stuff will continue for my HTC Desire because I'm loving it now.
Welcome! Very nice first post

Welcome aboard! You managed to do all those things without spamming forums, but instead learnt by reading, researching and managing to get by with little help.
Kudos! Obviously the 'video' does not apply to you!

Exactly, thank you.
Just noticed a minor bug in the caller-id that the picture comes up a little blurryish but i'm not the only one that has noticed this, was already been stated in this forum so i hope LeeDrOiD will look into it, other then that, very happy with the ROM.

Thanks for the warm welcome and for your compliments.
I respect your concerns to new members and that all of a sudden some well-known members are going over the edge sometimes because I was once a Moderator myself on a gaming website about aimbots/clans/coders and stuff, so believe me when I say that I know what it's like to keep a forum clean and organized, takes ALOT of time and ALOT of responsibility, you guys did a very good job on this website, and about that noob-video at the register page? Ow man believe me that video touched me, realy, I understand the meaning of that video SO DEEPLY well, the one(s) that made that video must have felt relieved!

In life we see stuff so we can learn stuff and I must say as an ex-moderator that I'm familliar for such "invulnerable" sarcasms..
