Free internet on 8125

Hey all,
I looked around and didnt see anything on this so i hope I didnt miss it but I was wondering if there is a way to get free internet on the 8125? I dont have a wifi in my house only at school. I used to have verizon and it used to be done with a proxy server. Can anyone give me some advice or a how to?

Thats a mouth full. However I am looking for the .cab for Cingular's web settings. Does anyone have the file or Know another way to setup so I can use my Cingular Data plan with my setup?

FTP...whats wrong cant connect for a long time

whats wrong with ftp folder? cant connect for almost 3 weeks, im a registered user

i also wanted to add something, since i run a ftp server at my home for other things... Anyway.. if you are using IE as your ftp browser then you may need to change a setting.. i would try the above link first but if that dont work then try this...
Open IE and go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
and uncheck "Use Passive FTP"
and try the above link again.

have you recently installed a firewall or router? if so you might need to map ports 20&21 to pass through

yeah ihad bitdevender now its gone back to zone alarm ..so how do you map and pass through 20 21

I too am unable to connect. Using Flash Fxp, I copy/paste this:
ftp://xda:[email protected]
and it says unable to connect. Should my user/pass be xda/xda? I am able to connect to other servers so...

im not sure how you would map it, i have a hardware firewall.. just look around in the settings...

im getting really frustrated ...im still having problems connecting to ftp... i really need to install a new rom on my phone for my xda IIs...i cant figur why this is happening evrything is normal on my pc ...the way i used to connect to ftp

well the weird thing is ...today i took of peer guardian thing of my pc (well its my bros pc) and ftp came on ..fro 10 mins then went again ...how weird is that??? but in the mean time i quicly managed to get O2 asia 140.923 for my UK xda IIs . Shame i really wanted to check any new roms or patches were out

You know what I said 2 weeks ago about the new internet connection my mom would get in her place (where my server is because before the new connection she had a 12Mbit (up- and download) glasfiber internet connection for free)?
Well it sucks....2 days ago it had a networkfailure and since then I couldn't get my RedHat server online again.
Right now I have the server with me, at my girl's house, I will put it online again tonight, but here the upload is real slow, so in a month when my own house is ready I have 2 options:
1) In a month I will move the server to my new house with the (good and stable DSL internet connection that I want)
2) In a month I will take the server (and all my websites) down PERMANENTLY and will place all my distributions on the XDA FTP!

Site is up again.
Every file is available again, except for the Roms.
The Roms will only be available via the XDA FTP.
Tomorrow I am gonna adjust the links on www.molski.biz (so until tomorrow you will get errors clicking on my Roms, browse the XDA FTP to download them)!
