English ROM for 1.06.0 bootloader

Hi,
Bought my P3600 from MG&C but it came with a German ROM - none of the ROMs in the wiki will update it as they stop at 1% then the device reboots...i know other people have had the same issue.
This is where HTC could use a bit of common sense and allow us to download an English ROM directly from them as our suppliers are not providing English ROMs.
I got a letter from MG&C with the following instructions:
You bought a new HTC smartphone. We are sorry to tell you, that the update wont work just in time. So we couldn't do it for you.
Please connect to the FTP Server of xda-developers, to download your English ROM and install it. Any assistance you can also find on www.xda-developers.com
If you need to CID unlock your device for uploading your language, please use the service of www.imei-check.co.uk (if you have to pay any fees there, we will charge it back to you)

and on and on it goes - unfortunately imei-check don't offer an unlock service for the trinity... so where does that leave us?

Which latest ROM for GPS and HOW to flash it ???

Pardon my ignorance but I am confused with so much technical info here. Loads of ROMs , radio roms, RUU, SSPL, NBH .... etc etc etc.
I have got HTC P3600, original, unlocked to any network, bought in UK from expansys. So not sure whether it got CID lock or not but certainly not locked to any network / no sim lock.
I want to know:
1. Which is the latest GPS enabled ROM available TODAY, which I can use to flash my device ? (where language remains English!! and bass or other bugs solved, if possible)
2. Is there a way to find out before flashing that whether device is CID locked or not? and whether it needs to be unlocked before flashing.
3. How to flash ROM ? Kindly, I need step by step guidance from A to Z.
Which files to download, which to execute first and basically everything you need to do in order to flash gps enabled rom.
I will be much obliged for this help and guidance.

All you have to do is to download this:

Yes i do..
Only the extended_rom stay the same...
You have to be supercid for edit the extended_rom but....

Just download this:

Connect your p3600
And run it.....
That's all..

I've also got an HTC P3600 and I bought mine from a shop and it came SIM unlocked. Do you think my P3600 is CID unlocked? and this rom http://rapidshare.com/files/21139137... p.exe%7C which you have suggested dr_s to download, what is it? Is it an HTC Rom?

1. is the ROM RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11_Ship.exe and official ROM (e.g., is it a test ROM from HTC)?
2. I have an unlocked P3600; do i need to CID unlock to flash with the RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11_Ship.exe ROM.
4. i understand that the rom
LVSW_RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11 is a cooked ROM. Yes or No? What are the benefits of using this ROM.

No. This was cooked based on the Dopod release.

No. It uses SSPL.

I believe that this is the same ROM as the "ship" version you asked about.
I have tried both the Dopod ROM as well as the "ship" ROM, and my preference was to stay with the Dopod ROM. The green dialer skin did not apeal to me, and I had some other issues that I don't remeber at this time. The official Dopod ROM, however, (especially after being patched with Pof's radio update), has been great!

Swisscom branded Trinity has GPS and tomtom preinstalled...

Yes all true, a friend of mine just bought this package on a 2 year contract for CHF560. Now that is a good deal! His is not getting 3G...yet. I'm sure we'll be able to turn it on with a reg hack.

Brand new HTC user need eng rom + advice

It is 2 days now i have put aside my M600 Eten for an HTC P3600.
It cames with french and i want english.
The HTC support site doesn't allow me to dl eng rom and load them.
1/ Where can i dl last p3600 rom eng ?
2/ Is it ok to do that
3/ Is there better rom than original htc rom ?

I found rom but i need confirmation.
On my htc there is a rom fra (french) 1.23.406 at wiki rom dl i found what look the best and safe choice in english, 1.23.405.2 us. Is it ok to flash my p3600 with it ?

I have the same problem I both the HTC P3600 in italian version and when I went to the HTC site they asked the serial# and I can download the update only in italian language, I wish to change in english, I need help.

I have made it !
Go to XDA-Wiki download Rom eng (i have taken RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1_1_.23.405.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_GPS.exe as i guess it is the good one), download also your original rom (in case you need to fall back) plus a small app SSPL-TRIN to trick the device.
It is quit simple but it could not work at first time.
Here it works only at the second time... but it it work

The ROM in WWE gave me error 294 Invalid Vendor ID and the SSPL-TRIN I don't know how to use it, can you tell me how to do that?

This worked for my dutch Herald! It's unbricked now and working smooth, thank you very much for this, now i don't have to send it to HTC repaircenter!

anyone have a english version ? i'v tried to download it from the htc eclub. it says to choose your handset from the list and language then download but doesn't give you the list.
I contacted HTC and they said the amount of people who have registered on the eclub just for that download and messed everything up. so don't know what's happening ?

Hi guys I am looking for any compatible rom that is English. I have Diamond unit with Spanish ROM on it. I need English compatible ROM. I tried one from mediafire link above but installer gave me error saying invalid vendor id. I guess I can't just install any it needs to be specific carrier or vendor.

Unfortunately I tried several roms that I thought are English and all of them showed me "INVALID VENDOR" error. is there anyway you can specify ROM I can use with my unit, if you not sure what I have to begin with I'd be more than happy to provide any info needed to identify unit I have.

CID lock (aka vendor lock): put on your device by the manufacturer to prevent installation of a ROM not released by them.
HardSPL: This modified bootloader allows a much safer flashing process to take place since it reduces the chance of permenently bricking your device. It also removes the need to CID Unlock the device since it ALWAYS reports SuperCID when flashing. See the official thread for more info.
