I've installed this... and it's not all that good... Anyone know how to downgrade it to a diff version? I've tried MTTY.exe and that wont pick up USB for some reason, and I cant get into bootloader... So if anyone knows how would be much appreciated.. Thanks
right, I can get the bootloader up...
"Enable KITL NO"
"Clean Registry hive NO"
"Format Sotorage NO" - I put this to yes.. Soft restart... and nothing happens, it just boots back up as normal... anyone know HOW I complete the format? Thanks.

Yea, then what? Do I just push in the Resetbutton and it does it for me, or do I hard Reset or what? Cheers
press the mail button. This will start up the device in your new ROM.
just done that, and it's starting up the same, just went through the set-up process and back to normal
So this is good? What is the problem
I want to completly flash/format it to put WM2003 back on... But It wont let me
Right... You first press the power and reset buttons simultaneously. This will get you to the hard reset four lines. Then, before the words in red appear in the bottom right corner, you must press the record and camera buttons.
Easy for someone with three hands, but for everyone else it may take a few tries... Just keep starting again from the hard reset.

you have to pay for Live Messenger. If an Error comes up saying it dosen't work - Goto Microsoft.com - Mobile - Redownload it and run from PC with Xda attached to PC. But it's a one time £10.99 payment for it... Witch is a bummer.

Do you have a copy of the Wizard Love rom? If so, install that in bootloader mode. Remember to plug your USB cable into the phone.

I would suggest flashing back to a carrier aku2.x rom and ensure that your phone will come up properly on it. If it does then good, it's most likely not a serious hardware issue, if not then you might be out of luck.
looks like a brick to me..
So sorry m8.
I hope you can revive it !
Had similar problem with the Super rom. What worked for me was taking a back up on the memory card and reflashing from the card.Read the Wiki about details on how to go about it.
Try to flash the latest t-mobile ROM found on their site if all the suggested doesnt work..

Try Hard resetting via the harware Buttons Softreset hole method. Here is how:
----------------------------------
While holding the Comm manager button and the Voice Command button, push in on the soft reset button (reset hole) once. Keep holding the Comm Manager and Voice Command buttons until there is a screen asking you if you want to clear all data. To commit, press the green send key.
Hope it helps.

Hard to help someone that hasn't told us anything.
From the sounds of it your battery has died. Until you get a good rom on there, the phone will NOT charge. You will need to find someone with a similar phone (or maybe go to your cell provider) and get them to charge the battery at this point. Once you have the battery charged then try following this step by step:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
If that doesn't work, then come back and tell us more about what happened, what your IPL/SPL is, what type of phone you have, if its G3 or G4, etc... People here will help, but not without information.

Not that I know of. Thats one of the reasons its recommended you start with a battery that has over 50% charge (personally I never flash with less than 100% in case something goes wrong). Not saying you didn't do that, but you appear to now be trying to work with a dead (or almost dead) battery, and that will only make things worse if you try to flash and then the battery dies in the middle (maybe not worse, but it sure won't help).
Like I said, you'll need to find someone with a similar phone or see if your local cell provider office will let you charge it (or swap it for a charged battery).
I got my ppc back up and I tried reflashing again and I have almost the same issue. It says format is successfull but then it gets stuck at the blue screen.
I have a Cingular 8125, and after installing Xplore 1.1 using ShellTool override, I did the hard reset on my phone, but it just stays on the bootup screen with all the device information (OS, GSM, SPL, IPL) at the top left. I left the phone on for over 20 minutes and nothing changed.
I've tried doing a few hard resets now (which may have messed it up even more) and don't really know what else to try.

I had someone help me try and fix my problem last night. After going to the bootloader screen and flashing it using a RUU, it was still frozen on the splash screen. I then tried to hard reset it again, only to get the "Format is failed" message that I forgot to mention earlier. He said this message indicates is a hardware issue and that I would have to send it in to get it fixed. Is there any possible way to fix this problem myself?
From what I've gathered so far, a 'format fail' problem cannot be fix yourself. I think you will need to send it back.
I bought a VPA Compact V a couple months ago to replace my Orange M700 and LOVE it.
Unfortunately Last Night I was playing with password features, and created a password by mistake. I've tried to remember what I typed in and was told it was not valid and asked for my password again! There is an option to reset your password but it is grayed out!
So I called up Vodaphone and they walked me through a hard reset (which I could not do for some reason, instead of getting the white screen, I always get the standard vodaphone one)
After a few attempts they told be I'd just have to return it to and be without phone for up to three weeks which is outreagous! I have had NO issues before this time and really need my kaiser for work. I know I am risking a public scalding and accusations of being a thief but I can assure you I am legit (I've got the bills to prove it!), but given my low post count I can see why you may have your doubts.
I don't really want to do a hard reset if I don't have to, but I think that it is my only choice. My old M2000 (blue angel) looses data if the battery is not in, can I do a similar thing with the kasier?
Thanks in advance,
WWWeed.........
does anyone know if WM6 prevents you from hard-resetting while the device is requesting a password?
Did you follow the steps in the wiki to do a hard reset with just the hard keys on the phone?
You should be able to use the "Clear Storage" icon in the settings without having to know the password if I remember well. That triggers a Hard reset too. But I'd just go with the hard key method too, only takes a couple of seconds...
The Kaiser will not lose any of its memory if you remove the battery.
At this point, you have 2 options. The first is to perform a hard reset; the process is documented in the Kaiser Wiki. Your second option is to download the OEM ROM that your phone shipped with, enter bootloader manually (also in the Wiki) and reflash the device. Either way, you will lose any data not on an SD card.

I have a problem with this, I cant find the rom installed on this device. I have tryed 3.08.161.0 (Radio 1.64.08.21) UK Vodafone that can found here:

however the device starts to flash, gets to 1% and gives me an error (error 294: invalid vendor id)
Does WM6 prevent you from performing a hard reset while asking for a password?
Can I install any of the spl's on this site (so I can flash another rom) with just the bootloader? or is there any way of installing roms without using active sync?
Thanks again guys for your help! I assure you it is much appreciated!
I found a rom that works! Unfornatly I dont know much about it. The name of it is v1615_3.28.161.1.zip
I've uploaded it to rapidshare Here
It is an offical untouched rom from vodaphone directly.

You might not be holding the 2 keys long enough. You need to hold them for several seconds after you pressed the reset button.

It can't, the button method does the job before WM6 would get loaded.
But I guess if you've been able to flash you shouldn't need the advice anyway. Still, you should do a hard reset after flashing to be sure all previous and/or incionsistent settings are cleared.
Hold the two soft keys then poke the soft reset button with the stylus while holding the soft keys - hold them until you see a new screen, make sure they are fully pressed. then a while screen will come up and you press the "send" key to go through with the hard reset (reset to factory settings).
Hello guys!

A dont install nothing my phone since many weeks.
Maybe, the WM6.5 ROM was out of date???
I dont know, but if i connected my phone to PC, the PC isnt known my device...
I dont do nothing, my phone was dead, and im a big trouble (((((((((((
PLEASE HELP ME!
did u try to hard reset it?
can u still enter bootloader mode?
if u can still enter bootloader then try flash another ROM
I think there is a timebomb in the Rom you are using.
Go to bootloader menu, connect to usb, and try to flash an other rom by installing via Windows.
okay, but what is the hard reset? Is that a red button on my device back?
if it is, i try this, but it isnt solve my problem.
and how i can go the bootloader menu?
thank a lot.
Don't worry...just try the hardreset:
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button.
2. Continue pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see this message on the screen:
This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to the manufacturer default settings. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer defaults, or press other keys to cancel.
3. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
If this does not work...just flash another rom...it really seems to have this timebomb issue...you don't have a hardware problem...it's just the software.
here's a video instruction for the hard reset:

thanks a lot, the hard reset worked!!!
thanks!!!
i will flash a new 6.5 ROM.

I've just recently gotten into different ROM's for my Sprint Touch Diamond. I am currently running Mighty ROM6. Now it flashes fine but after about a day of use I notice the phone starts acting up. Programs disappear, Opera browser stops working and I have to reflash. Is this a common flaw with the Mighty ROM6 or is it something I am doing wrong? I just don't understand how it works fine and after a day or two of use I have to reflash it. Any and all input would be great...

I'm not sure about Mighty ROM6, but issues can occur when you don't clear the device from the previously cooked rom.
2 Choices to clear device:
• flash a stock rom first before flashing
• use mtty (link found in my signature)
Regardless of choice, after flashing the selected cooked rom of choice, don't forget to hard reset your device.
Doing this takes out the variable of it being your devices fault and thus puts back the onus to the rom.
Good Luck!

as far as mtty is concern, it's a tool that clears your device. Not too newbie friendly though.

Right after you soft reset reset (red button) simply press Vol_Down + Circle button, then when you see another simple gray menu choose Vol_Up to confirm format)

Look at the 2nd post, of edited my response there.
By the way, another trick is to flash a radio or a rom via Internal Memory Method found below:
COOKING ROMs & Radios from phone =-
1. open from your PC the rar or zip archive and extract only the BIG .nbh file
2. rename as DIAMIMG.NBH
3. copy the renamed file into the root dir of your "Storage Card" or "Internal Storage" (the one of 4Gb... NOT to the internal phone memory!)
4. soft reset your device and within 3 seconds push together the Vol_Down + Back button (the one on the right above the hangup button) and keep pressed until the boot loader appears (the one with the color stripes)
5. soon as you see the bootloader stop to press those poor buttons
6. a very simple gray menu will appear asking you what to do, simple press the power button to perform the ROM/Radio upgrade
7. while the upgrade runs be patient and don't press again the power button, reset the device or play with it until it finishes, when finished a message "UPDATE SUCCESS" will appear, now you can safely reset your device
8. who prefer can perform a hard reset after the fresh cook (soon after reset simply press Vol_Down + Circle button, then when you see another simple gray menu choose Vol_Up to confirm format), even if this has no-sense because internal memory is pre-formatted during flash, but... there is always a but... for some unknown "scientific" reason sometimes an hard-reset can save time & headache
