Momax External battery charger

In case anyone is interested, I just got this external battery charger today. It's made by Momax. The description says it's for the Omnia i908/i900 but those phones use the same battery as the Nexus S. It's dual voltage and comes with Type A (US), Type C (Europe), Type G (UK & South East Asia) and Type I (Australia/NZ) plug adapters so you can use it anywhere in the world.
I have one for my Nexus One also and have been using that one for the past year. I highly recommend it for anyone who would like to charge an extra battery without having to keep your phone plugged in.

Shipping took 5 days and is pretty quick considering it came from Hong Kong.

I just ordered one as well, it's cheap, but I hope it works well and doesn't damage the battery.

At 21$, I think you should consider buying a desk dock with a 2nd battery compartment.

yeh those cheapo one's, i get them for free, it's mainly 3 brands, including momax, yes they make them too and speedy and goki.

Yea, it has. But not with a battery compartment. I was referring to the after-market models.

I was wondering if those damage your battery, was about to buy

What country are you in? Bit of a vague question.
In the UK I use http://www.idealo.co.uk/ which will find the best prices and whether an item is in stock or not.

In Europe it is only sold with the dock in one package.
Can't buy the tablet alone.

EDIT - so they've dropped the price from £80 to £60 - from insane to expensive...

Isn't that with VAT included? if it is if you subtract it. It may be cheaper than the one sold in the US.

Mobile Fun have said this is Samsung's price, but I cannot see that being right considering it is only $69.99 in the US. That's equivalent to around £50 in the UK.
I may go for this on eBay...

I've just been looking at that exact one. I think i'm going to wait a few weeks, hopefully we'll have more of a choice by then.

I went and looked in various shops in my local town yesterday, including the Samsung shop. None had it, although a couple were at pains to say that there was no difference whilst trying to sell me the old S6 flat model, including in the Samsung shop. I also had a Samsung representative on the S7 stand in Carphone Warehouse insist the S7 and S7 Edge screens are 4K. After a couple of minutes telling him they weren't I ended up suggesting he read up on his own company's products before trying to sell them. I'm sure it was the first thing he did when I left the shop.

I spoke to Mobile Fun and they advised this was a pricing mistake. It has now been changed to £59.99

Yeah, thanks, I see that it's been dropped... but still expensive vs the USA price... ah well, we are buying the BEST FRIGGING PHONE ON THE PLANET... so hey ho, maybe it's worth an insanely expensive charger that you can use with your phone horizontal too.

cool, yeah, US only delivery... but searching the UK samsung site for the EP-NG930TBUG product number comes up with their old flat chargers.
This one says "fast charge"

and outputs 5-9v and 1000ma (a bit low IMO, wired chargers are 2000 or 3000 ma
The USA new angled "fast charge" charger does not mention the output volts and amps.

I think i'll just go with a 3rd party one. There should be more released shortly.

I followed your link, the sit redirected me to Mobilefun.nz as I am in New Zealand Great I thought this will be easy prices in NZ dollars and all $104.99 nz expensive but as you said Best Phone etc so I added it to the basket $50 for freight now thats "insane" I went no further

yeah it does NOT dash charge as per the reviews. waste of money IMO

I'd be a little leery of the ebay sellers and product authenticity. I suppose for the price, you're welcome to take your chances though.

Don't bother I was tempted and bought 2 of those.
I have to say the quality looks ok but no dash charging on them unfortunately.

What price do you consider to be expensive?
There's plenty of EB41 batteries on amazon.co.uk starting from about £13 and they have them on ebay starting from about £12.
I bought a replacement battery from amazon.co.uk a while back, and it was absolutely fine.
