XDA IIi keeps rebooting - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

I'm getting really sick and tired of this.
My O2 is rebooting after a few minutes every time I use it. I have tried backing up and re-installing the OS but this didn't fix the problem. Is there possibly an issue with the soft reset button or something else ?
Any help appreciated.

Your posting is a time ago, I guess you already did what I recommend to do: A hard reset. As far as I know there is no possibility to read any system log files.

I ended up reinstalling the OS + apps/data in corporate mode. Works ok now. It was probably a software issue causing the reboots.

Hi bitrate......
You said Corporate images.... where did you get the images from ? I keep getting country id issues when I try to flash images downloaded from O2.

Stuck on Registering after Unrooting

hi everyone. i've been following the forum here for awhile and finally decided to root my brand new NC. i autorooted from 1.1. i saw some things weren't working so i quickly decided to unroot back to factory settings. i unrooted by unregistering the device and turning off the power 8 times. my NC boots up fine, but it gets stuck on the "Registering your Device" page and just remains there with the circle spinning. i think i left it there for more than 30 minutes and nothing happens. has anyone experienced this before? if so, how did you fix it? any help would be appreciated.
sorry if this topic has already been asked - i tried searching but didn't find anything on this specific issue. if there's already a thread, please feel free to share the link with me. thank you!
EDIT: really need some help here... i tried to fix it myself (i know i shouldn't have) and might have made it even worse. i tried to re-autoroot my NC but just completely failed. it was not loading anything anymore, so i tried to unroot again by powering off 8 times. when i restarted, everything looked normal, except the bootloader screen was not stock. it brought me back through the normal tutorial and same thing with it getting stuck on "registering your device". could someone please provide a thorough walkthrough on how to reset to factory settings? i'm seeing all these threads throwing around all these acronyms that i don't understand. seems like i need to try running some clockwork rom but not even sure how to do that. please help!!
Bump, i have just encountered this problem and i need help as well.
Update:
actually just figured it out and heres what fixed my problem, i wasn't doing the factory reset part only the 8 reboot interruptions.

Thanks for your post, even though no one ever helped. I was having the same problem and doing a clear data/factory reset from Clockwork Recover booted from an SD card did the trick for me.

Help, phone is useless

hi all, my phone has numerous problems and nothing seems to fix the phone, so ill sum up the issues
none of my apps work, ALL of them force close as soon as they are opened, I've tried factory resetting the phone, but after the reset the apps are still there with the same problem. The same things happen after i do a hard reset. I've tried reflashing stock and non stock firmwares and nothing fixes the problem, my phone is basically useless.
Is there any fix to this?

I don't know what your warranty situation is, but if you can flash back to stock, I'd take it into an AT&T store and see if you can get a warranty replacement. It's possible there may be a fix to your issue, but if you are in a position where you can just swap it out for a new phone, that may be your best/least frustrating solution.
Have you tried going into mounts and storage in cwm formatting everything and then flashing?
My phone is out of warranty
and yes i've tried that but still no luck :/

When you flashed to stock, did you do a Master Clear also? It sounds like a software issue and should be fixed with a complete system wipe.
I'm going to assume you used some type of backup " tibu " or something similar before you did any flashing ? If so did or how did you reinstall your apps and data ? Cuz if you install system apps plus data it would explain why all your apps are force closing. Only install missing apps plus data.
Do the ethical thing... Go to at&t and claim ignorance to the problem. Always works out.

Factory reset after every reboot

Weirdest thing happens, I'll boot my DS7 and it's like if I just did a factory reset...every time. I'll customize my homescreens/gmail and what not, and do a normal reboot and it does a factory reset every time. I've read a few threads about similar topics and no one seems to know what's going on.
I've wiped data/cache/dalvik and fixed permissions, doesn't help. Re-install ROM, doesn't help.
I tried reflashing superuser.zip says installation aborted (bad). Same when I try to flash HC (yes, I'm still on Froyo).
Any clues ladies and genitals? Any help would be appreciated.
Sounds like you are experiencing the READ-ONLY bug that plagues this device. Hopefully it is still under warranty so that you can send it to Dell. Last summer I sent my Streak 7 to Dell. They repaired the read-only bug and had it back to my house in about 2 weeks.
Basically, what happens when your tablet goes into read-only mode... any updates, installs, customizing you do will be lost upon a reset... even though it appears like things are updating, they simply are not saved to the internal flash drive. Also, when it gets really bad some of the apps (along with the web browser) will start to get fatal errors.
That sounds about right, especially since even when I try to move a file from my netbook to the device (such as a new ROM to try to flash in CWM) it wont show up after I reboot either.
Don't think its under warranty anymore, dang.
Yes this is what happened to the one I got off Craigslist too the person I bought it from also changed his phone number instantly, so I got screwed but I'm in the process of getting a replacement or getting an extended warranty on it.

[Q]Help me with this particular N910T

Hey folks, first thread ever, I really need help with this troubled N910T, DOK2, Android 5.1.1
Whats wrong with this phone:
The contact app will stop everytime I open it, since contact app is combined into Phone app, so the Phone app will also stop everytime I click on it. However, the situation will be fixed if I change the locale to English. (The phone belongs to a Asian friend)
One of the instant message app, the Wechat, similar to Whatsapp Messager and Facebook Messager, will not receive any kind of notification, at all.
The phone's battery drop from 50% to 1% then turn off itself in minutes.
The last two problems may be unrelated issues to the first one, and that is not the main reason I'm really here. I have ODIN flashed the latest firmware over 10 times and all THREE of the problems still exist after all that.
And whats bothering me is that ODIN flash firmware WILL NOT FACTORY RESET this phone, that doesn't make any sense to me. Please let me know if I make a mistake about that, because every other phone or tablet I have worked on before will always be factory reset after flashing a OEM firmware.
I have also flahed TWRP and wiped everything from the System to the internal storage and reflash the firmware but the problem is still there.
sort of things have been done to the phone may have something to do with the problems:
installed the zips I got from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...pt-touchwiz-bloating-script-222-apps-t3258537
it debloated the phone.
the phone was lost in a rainy day, found again two days later. Remote lock and wipe preformed via Android Device Manager but the wipe process never go through.
Please let me know if the phone is worth saving at all, I have spent days in this phone fixing and researching for solution. I found no similar issue around here, and the phone is out of warranty.
Thank you and please let me know should I throw this thing away.
Battery needs to be replaced. Are you sure you flashed right firmware for 910t not 910t3?

Many times already.
If you haven't done so, you may want to do a clean install which means wiping system, data, dalvik and cache at least three times in custom recovery such as TWRP. Then you can try ODIN baseband, bootloader, rom and kernel (if rom doesn't contain one), custom recovery. Next you boot into customer recovery again and do a factory reset and that should do it. Let me know if that helps.

Mi A2 WiFi doesn't work at all, even after factory reset

Hey!
I don't know if this is the correct forum, but I hope so.
So, after having a few troubles getting the A2 to work with root and so on everything seemed to work until a few random apps didn't work at all (they crashed as soon as you opened them). After trying to solve the problem (and failing) I thought a factory reset would maybe be the best idea, now that I know the way to root it and so on.
But after factory reset the wifi doesn't work at all. It "searches" for networks, doesn`t find anything and if I finish the installation and manually want to turn the wifi off and on afterwards I can see that the wifi connection is turned off and if I press the slider it goes on and then off immediately.
I tried flashing the stock rom with the xiaomiflash-tool, tried to factory reset it on both partitions, but as soon as it boots and asks for a WiFi-network it can't find anything at all.
I hope somebody can help me.
There is the possibility that I did something wrong the last days and destroyed something because I probably tried too much compared to my knowledge (which isn't much at all), but maybe somebody can help me...
Thanks in advance!
im with the same problem
flash in edl mode
