Any Alpines left to buy? - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

Does anybody know of suppliers who might still have a supply of the Alpine (O2, Qtek, or i-Mate)?

nope. but you can, of course, buy used hardware using, for example, ebay..

Got mine without a contract at telco (CSL) for HKD5871. List price here is HKD6180. Most of the retail shops are selling @ HKD6080 with screen protectors and 1GB MicroSD.
FX HKD/USD 7.8
BTW, the phone can be had for around HKD3600 with a 12-month contract of at least HKD200/month.
Hope this will shed some clue for people in Singapore or elsewhere in Asia.....
below list price..
is there any shop that sells below list price?
English version
Is it avaiable in English Version???

GPS MAP
based on I saw on their website, it comes with Mapking, in this case, what country map is included with the unit? Does it comes with any free maps?
As per everyone's experience, which place is the cheapest place to buy PDA phones? Wanchai ? Mongkok? ShamShuiPo?

I know for the wizard there was a solutions with aluminum foil perhaps that works for you.
Don't know if the thread is still there, but i think someone knows about it
my kaiser has bad reception too!
I have an external gsm antenna that i bought for my SPV e100 and c500, used it a couple of times worked very well, but then orange stuck a antenna up a few roads away from me which sorted the problem, id have to see if it is the same fitment for the kaiser, i assume it is as they all seem to have the standard gsm antenna port in the kaiser its next to the gps one. Its still in the original bag it came in and it as new if you want to buy it off me... i paid £30 for it.... offers.... if your interested in it ill dig it out and test it on my kaiser.. let me know
*EDIT: After closer inspection, the antenna i have only fits the gps connection on the kaiser, it does improve the gps a hell of a lot but it does not fit the gsm connection, so ill withdraw my sale*

Does anybody know what type of connector HTC uses for their handsets? I have a Vox and am looking to buy a pigtail so I can use my external antenna.
Some close up pictures of the connector would be very useful, thanks.

There's a close-up here.
Can anyone advise for sure what kind of connector this is? I've bought a 11dB antenna on ebay (believe it has an SMB connector), and need to find an adapter to try to connect it to my Kaiser.
I've checked the FCC report, Wikipedia, HTC, etc. but no joy.

Thats the GPS Connector. The phone Connector looks the same. But I gather it is not. I wish I could know for sure.
Thanks! I've read elsewhere that the GPS and Mobile connectors are the same on the TYTN II (at least, someone was able to use their GPS connector for both).
Still no joy on finding an adapter though.

Model compatibility with hardware.

Question:
is a product compatible with a HTC HD2 T8585 compatible with a HD2 T9193?
Just need to know as I'm trying to buy new stuff and hope it doesn't matter.

You mean form factor? The only HD2's with a different size are the T-Mobile US models, all others are called 'International'.
Well I want to buy this wall charger thingo, and it says it's for the HD2 T8585, so if that ISN'T the Tmobile US model then am I safe?

I haven't a clue, I don't know what your voltage is in Australia. Look at your countrys voltage and compare it with the charger and if the glove fits, your in action.

Alright - Looks like I'll be fine - The phone listing on the page I'm looking at [for the product I'm buying] also refers to the "HTC Leo 100 AU"
Jeez...you'd think they could have just made ONE type of HTC HD2...but nooo...they had to make it all complicé!
anyway. thanks for the help
