Author's conclusion is that ROM 1.6.7.1 with radio 01.13.10 is the fastest EDGE and USB connection speeds with stable ROM. I'm using a ROM 1.6.11.1 with 01.13.10 radio with great results.

Your iMate KJAM is a HTC Wizard thus the author's recommendation of ROM 1.6.7.1 & Radio 1.13.10 is valid. I have a MDA Vario and flashed to this combo with no problems. There is no "best" ROM as the hardware is basically all the same.
By reviewing this xda-developers section on Wizard, you'll form an impression on what works and what doesn't and the pluses / minuses of each.

Look in aWizard ROM util link

Forgive me gentlemen as I am very new to this specific device... I ran the Awizard tools and used the CID unlock and backed up that file... I'm assuming that is to restore it incase of sending in for warranty?
I then backed up all (radio, rom, extended)
Okay so now my question is... Can I just run the Qtek rom executable or should I used the Awizard tools to do the Radio and Rom seperately...
Is there any difference? Can I even just upgrade by double clicking the executable? Will it give me a new extended rom then?
Finally, is there any software differences between the Qtek and the Imate?
I just want to use the Qtek rom until the latest I-mate rom comes out.

hi , iam new in updating rom can sum2 please let me know the best rom for my o2 mini s my current specs are :

I was using the 1.13.x radio ROM and I never got above two bars even in spots where my Sidkick2 had a full set. I dropped down to 1.10.x and now it works almost as well as the SK2. Im using the 2.8.somthing test ROM though

thanks, i've been with 1.1.9.3/1.13.10 and its running great, but after reading this atricle i'm upgrading to 1.6.7.1/1.13.10 right now!

There's no official (original) wm6 qtek 9100 rom update from the provider.You'll have to flash the latest custom build Wm6 Roms,which you'll find so many here in this forum.
first,you'll have to check & confirm,which device you have, G3 or G4.
If its a G3 phone,you'll have to SIM/CID unlock the phone first and then upgrade to any wm6 rom,but if its a G4,you can upgrade through 'HardSPL' or 'SoftSPL' method.

i have T-Mobile MDA G3 with me and is unlocked, i can use sim of any cellular company on my cell and working fine. Its SPL/IPL is 1.08 can anybody please suggest me the link to download WM6 or WM6.1 full featured and free whichever is good for my wizard moreover any further steps in order to be on a safer side while updating my wizard. Looking forward for your response.

Your wizard is simunlocked, but is it also CID Unlocked ?

If you are looking for wm6 Rom,then there's no official wm6 rom update offered by any vendor,but if you want to upgrade to any custom build wm6 rom then check out the below link:-

But,before upgrading to any wm6 rom,you got to have your phone CID unlocked first,how to CID unlock? read the guide here :-

Like I said earlier,no official wm 6 upgrade is offered,so this rom is also wm5 and not wm 6,if you want to upgrade to wm6,you'll have to upgrade through custom build wm6 roms,present here in this forum.

Unlocking is one thing. Hard Spling is another.. All you have to do is update your rom.. So ahhh well are you using a american wing or htc herald?? American wing just get the newest update if your using the herald get that newest update and it should update your spl to 4.xxx then there you go.. Hard spl that baby!!! lol.. just search for updates.. way easy man..

Hmmmm ... it sais "Invalid vendor ID" after 1%; then the phone reboots. Any idea what to do first? Should I install some of the cab files from the second link?

I think that you can repair to the factory. It was locked. You didn't unlock(香港生孩子_wwwmyhkbbcom).

I am a happy owner of a Qtek 9100 which originally had Windows Mobile 5.0 ITA.
course and following the upgrade guide I proceeded on my PocketPC (G3) with "Windows 6.1 beta 2 carbonara" I have to say is very stable.
The only thing I noticed is that after you upgrade your phone with the first ROM so I changed the values IPL and SPL but I do not put them equal, and that is me put them IPL 1.01 to 1.06 SPL I tried to upgrade 3 times and always successful but the values are always different.
So finally I decided to continue, I unlocked the CID with a dedicated tools and since I could not find a good link for the ROM T-LOVE I decided to directly load the ROM of Windows 6.1 to carobonara.
The procedure was successful and the phone is a bomb. I am very satisfied with this ROM, but my question now is:
I find myself with these values
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.06
gsm 01.12.10
OS. 4.0.0.
And 'normal IPL and SPL or need to be in the same? Is there a way to update only those? And from now on I can load any other ROM widzard for G3 even those with Windows 6.5?

you can update from 5.0 to 6.5 directly. .

Help me whit a Qtek 9100
Hello. Can I use the Wizard Service too Qtek 9100l to change only one OS version from version 5.1 to 6.1 without change for SPL or IPL? I have a G4. Somebody help me to change the version in Windows Mobile 6.1 software. I mean this way can not use an upgrade program like "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe" because the connection to USB phone is down after the restart in Bootloader. Thanks in advance.
