dtmf tones

ok i searched and i am sure im just over looking it on the phone but anyone know how to shut off the dtmf tones from the ext speaker?
c&p from RF9 at hofo found the fix.
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds
There are keys for DTMF1, DTMF2, (all 10 keys including * and #)
If I delete them, no more tones. Tones are still sent (you don't hear them) when in the VM box, but you no longer get them out the back speaker.
I'm looking for a better solution, though. One that puts the tones out the earpiece hopefully
EDIT:
I found a better solution:
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Feedback\
InitVol=2
Change this to InitVol=1 to lower the volume
Change this to InitVol=0 to turn off the sounds.
Of course this may affect other sounds that used the 'feedback' category (if there are any). So deleting the DTMF sounds might be a better solution.
It seems like lowering the volume to value "1" is a good setting. At least the DTMF sounds aren't as loud.
the actual fix was simple. its settings > phone > keypad > off duh i totaly spaced that and moopile posted it up.

lower dialpad volume

i wanted to know if there was a way to lower the volume when im dialing the number. its as if my speaker is about to blow when im trying to dial a number. anyone know the registry edit?
Never did get a sloution for this, except by covering the speaker with my finger
Would be interested to know if there's reg hack, then we could pass it to the Kaiser Tweak guys!
There may be 3 ways to improve your situation.
The first would be to change from long tones to short tones. This wont reduce the volume, but if you have it set on long, it will shorten the amount of time the tone is emitted.
(Phone>Menu>Options> then change keypad to short tones)
The secdond would be to do the same as above, but to change it to "Nothing"
The third would be to turn t vibrate using KaiserTweak (a great app by the genii of xda-dev.com) where there is a setting to change the phone keypresses from tones to vibrate (KaiserTweak: Call > Dialer Button Behaviour"
u can also click on the speaker icon and bring down the volume for the mobile icon. but this will reduce the overall volume of ur device.

i dont have this option on my kaiser tweak
make sure u update your xml file, provided by nikagl
i have the one from dec. 9 and even on his post under calls it doesnt show a Call > Dialer Button Behaviour"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349009
thats the latest, and i just checked there is no dialer button behavior.
Only solution i can think of is that you would need to turn down the system volume, since it is a system sound. However, you can try searching for the dialer sounds, modifying them with a sound editor(decrease the amp, or something like that.) so you can keep your system volume up, while dialer doesnt deafen you.

If you looks through the Kaiser Tweaks thread, it's in there. Not in the actual xml thread, but in the one where you post questions. You could try searching vibrating keypad and variations of the like. He actually made an xml file for it, and it's posted in that thread, he just didn't include it in the official release.
I tried it out, and it seemed to work fine. Like a dummy, I stopped using it, because I thought it would no longer work with automated systems (like checking voicemail etc.) but then I realized the sound I hear has nothing to do with the info transmitted by the phone lol, so I may have to give it another try.
i found the right XML file with more tweaks than i had...for those that want it here it is
Lovely - I hadn't noticed the Tweak update - All quiet now!

How to change "Phone" and "new SMS" in Home screen

Hi all, does anybody knows how to edit registry to change these options? I have a Diamond from Telefonica and would like to change to "Contacts" and "Calendar" havingTouch Flo 3D active.
Thanks indeed.
In case you are talking about the soft keys appearing on the home screen..
look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404982&highlight=soft+key
try advanced config 3. in the menu there is soft key config
Yes, I was talking about soft keys. Thanks indeed!!
I have found caledar.exe located in Windows folder, but I can not find the file to open contacts... I have looked to contacts.exe, contactos.exe and addrbook.exe... without success. Does anybody know which is the exe file to open contacts?
Thanks.

Great, thanks indeed!

Problem selecting text

I noticed a strange problem.
Inside text editing application that do not warp lines (Orneta Notepad Mobile and any other notepad style application I tried) text selection (with stylus tap and drag) only works when lines a short and orizontal scroll bar is missing or disabled. When lines are longer and orizontal scroll bar appears text selection is no more possible.
Does anyother noticed this problem?
Any solution?
Selecting text works not so fine anymore.
When I hold the syles on the screen sometimes it works, but not oke.
Or when I hit with the styles on a word he selected that word.
With me other WM phones (HTC to) it was possible selecting, copy, paste in most places. It was very simple te select a pease of tekst.
Does HTC running a app that has a conflict with the WM selecting option?
I have searching registry if there is maybe a key to change.
I don't like the slecting way on the Diamond2.
I hope someone find out what the problem can be.

True.
KraFT
I found a partial solution: there is a way to make a list of applications that should be ignored by TouchFlo. Inside these applications scroll by tap and drag stop working but text selection does work.
Find the registry key HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\TFLOIgnoreAPPs
For any application that you want TouchFlo ignore create a string value and assign to it the name of the application .exe file (important: the value seems to be case sensitive)
For example in my case for Orneta Notepad Mobile
HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\TFLOIgnoreAPPs\IgnoreAppNP = "NOTEPAD.exe"
Thanks, it works.
I have now add strings with poutlook.exe, PIMConnectivity.exe, Notepad.exe and Explorer.exe (resco) .
In those apps it works now fine.

Where can I get the wm6.1 volume control

I've done some searching but I'm really not sure what it's called, so all my results have come up with nothing.
I just want the volume control from wm6.1, where you press the volume icon and it brings up all the notifications such as the volume icon, Edge/3G, your phone signal, and battery. Usually it brings up 4 icons.
Most wm6.5 roms now have this new htc "notifications." The only problem with it is you can't adjust your volume anymore by pressing the volume icon, you need to map the volume to a different button.
I just installed m2d on mine, and can't adjust in call volume anymore. When I scroll the wheel during a call, it just adjusts system, and ring volume, never changing in call volume. It is so loud during the call I set the phone during a call and listen from 5 feet away. So I would be interested in this as well, it would be nice to go back to the stock volume control via a .cab file.
Think your asking for Large Title Bar..... I'm not sure you can have Large Title Bar with the new notifications?
Atached is VoluPOP it installs to Windows & Places a .lnk in Start Menu/Programs so you can map it if wish?

boss1234, in the latest PDAcorner (august 11th) the in call volume problem has been fixed. alternatively, you could do what mrdiavolo did to fix the problem and install Mega Canvas:
