Unable to capture. Not enough memory Camera error - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hi there
Have recently upgraded the camera via a cab file "HTC_WIZARD_CameraPatch_.cab" and performed the following registry tweak
Move "My Documents" to a SD Storage Card [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
Mofify\Create the following:
String Bane: FileSyncPath Value: \SD Card\My Documents
Simply create a root folder on your storage card named: My Documents.
and am now getting an error when trying to use the camera
Unable to capture.
Not enough memory
36001:102:0
HEEEEELLLLLLPPPP please
I have gone back to the registry entry and removed "\SD Card" from the FileSyncPath and the camera is again working. Can someone please confirm if the registry hack above is correct or not, thanks.

You may be using the wrong path...
For Wizard, the path for MiniSD is \Storage Card, not \SD Card.

Excellent, thankyou will give that a try

thats done it, thanks

Hiding the WIZARD Extended ROM HERE!!!

Same thing
Install
and Soft Reset
Didnt work for me.
the storage cards remained the same.
:-(
Did you soft reset?
Surely did.....
My storage card also became storage card2. I noticed that after a soft reset a new folder had been created on the device called storage card and the actual storage card was being designated storage card2. If you delete the new folder and remove and reinsert your card then it reverts to being storage card. Unfortunately it reverts to storage card2 after every soft reboot.
If you hide the extended rom, delete the storage card folder on the device and then soft reboot, your storage card should be OK again.
It seems to me that the storage card folder is being created on the device in order to create a folder for my email attachments - I store them on the card. If there are other people who have unhidden their extended rom but don't have the storage card2 problem, it may be because thay don't have their attachments set to be on the card.
BTW why do you need to run the new cab file? Why not just remove the original unlocking cab file? That worked for me.

I see what you are saying but mine did something different. I had Mail attachments and camera photos set to save to the mini sd. When I un-hid the extendedROM it moved them to it and the ExtendedROM is a folder and third option if you want to install anything from scratch, and its called ExtendedROM2.
Now without changing any settings, when I take a pic or have a mail attachment it puts them in the ExtendedROM2 section, and it doesnt give you the option to change it. For instance, in camera - options - general - save to : I can choose, main memory or extendedrom2, no memory card option. :?

Thanks for this tip baldboy! After removing some software (Vito Sound Explorer), my storage card2 (my SD card) totally vanished. After your tip I now have my SD card back and am able to save from camera to it again. My Extende ROm is hidden again, but with total commander I can view it when I want. If I want to change it, I just have to unlock it, edit it and then lock it again. Thanks for your help!
Now all I have to do is get the extensions on my SD card right again. edit: did that with Badschwii's myextensions.exe.
Hello!
Will applications which I installed on the ExtROM (after unhiding and deleting the CABs) still work after hiding the ExtROM again??
yes, all apps in EXT ROm that you leave there will work after hiding, deleted apps will off course still be deleted.
Hi Koksie,
App in hidem ExtendedROM will work even need to write/update data?
My problem is I don't use extendedROM because name os SD change and many programs have problems to work... camera save fotos in extROM, etc...
Thanks
Sorry, I am speaking englis not so good.
Extended ROM must be cleared from your data and all utility working to hide Ext ROM.
If I try set IE temp /Storage Card/Temp - I am not able to HIDE extended ROM !!!!
After move temp to original location all works O.K.

How to install apps in memory card?

Ei, guys is there a way to install applications in the memory card instead of the main memory?. because in my xda atom i would be asked before installing an app whether to install in the main memory or in the memory card..
When the box pops up on your computer to install, it should say something like, Install to default location? Click no, then choose Memory Card from the drop down in the next box. It will install to memory card.
An alternate way is to copy the app folder from /Program Files/ to your memory card, then change the shortcut.
If you copy the install folder manually, don't forgett to change the direction in the registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apps\moved program!!!
Or you extract the CAB file from the program you wish (with WinZIP/WinRAR or find it in the installation directory on your desktop pc) and iinstall it on your XDA with CabInstall from SK Software!

Device Memory Issue!!!

Hi, I was wondering if we have any software application or any other registry tweak to install everything on storage card instead of device storage.
I have an ATT Tilt with Windows Mobile 6.5 cooked ROM.
When a software is installed it asks where to install it, i.e., on Device Memory or Storage Card. I selected Storage Card for every application installation. But still all the EXEs and related files goes under /windows/ directory of the device.
Hence, memory is being occupied. Advance Config Tool has some location change options but not for windows directory.
Is there a way all these EXEs and other related files can go under Storage Card /windows/ directory.

[Q] Moving pictures/video's from micro SD to the internal storage

This thing I find really annoying. If I've moved all my pictures/videos (including WhatsApp pictures etc.) and other data from my old phone's micro SD card (HTC) to the internal storage, a lot of the dates got adjusted. So a lot of my old pictures gets the date of today (just as a new picture) when I copy them to the internal storage. This is annoying because the pictures/videos doesn't show in the right order. For example a picture from 2011 shows like it's a picture from March 2013 -.-.
If I leave the pictures etc. on the micro SD there's no problem. But I prefer to use it without micro SD card.
I've tried copying with the app "ES File Explorer" and on the computer, but both give the same results. I really hope someone got a good solution for this.
Am I the only one who find this is annoying?
I think this is just the way it should be, when you copy a file it changes the 'creation date' of the copied file.
Because you duplicated the file and it was written.... today.
However if you zip a folder then copy it and extract it, files inside will keep the origninal creation date. (Also after extracting.)
Little work around and not easy to use on the go, but I guess you just want to copy your pictures once.
Kind regards, Stefan.
Thanks for your reply, but I've already tried that but it didn't work ;s. At least not for all photos. I've tried it on the computer and with ES File Explorer.
Alright, that is strange just tested and it works here without a problem.
Are you sure you do it like this:
- Use winrar to RAR or ZIP your pictures folder on the SD you want to copy them from.
- Once the archive is completed copy the ZIP or RAR archive to your internal storage.
- Once done, extract it from here.
Kind regards, Stefan.
Step 1 yes
Step 2 yes
Step 3, there this is a problem in MTP mode. On the computer I can't extract it to the internal storage or SD card storage.
I did succeed to extract it with ES File Explorer (app on my phone), but this also doesn't keeps the correct dates.
I've tried a few things. Switching between MTP en MSC mode, it makes difference. I've also tried copying photos in MTP mode from Internal memory to SD card, but this also effects the dates. Buttt if I copy the photos to my computer first and than switch to MSC mode and copy the photos to the SD card the photos are all OK.
But the problem is.. in MSC mode it doesn't support internal memory. So I still haven't a solution.
I noticed not all pictures got this problem. For example the photos which you have taken by yourself and have a "taken at" date in the photo doesn't have this problem. But the downloaded photos, like WhatsApp photos etc. does have this problem, because these have other date settings. The "modified at" date got changed in MTP mode.
http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...roid-jelly-bean-device-while-preserving-the-o
Still haven't a solution ;(
Tried another thing. If I use the app Vaulty I can hide the photos and it gets encrypted. If I copy the encrypted files to the phone and open it in Vaulty all the timestamps seem OK. But if I let Vaulty to unhide the photos The problem with the timestamp got back. So the problem still isn't fixed.
It seems you are right, when I write or unzip files to the internal memory it does change the creation date.
I tried to zip files on and to the SD of the phone, thinking it would not make any difference if doing so to internal memory.
But I was wrong, sorry for that.
Installed AndoZip File Manager:
- Zipped a file from the SD card and extracted it to the SD card again, creation date IS NOT changed all good.
- Zipped a file from the SD card copied it to the internal memory and extracted it there, creation date IS changed no good.
- Zipped a file from the SD card and extracted it directly to the internal memory, creation date IS changed no good.
Think using zip or rar will not solve this problem.
Perhaps anyone else has a good idea to copy files but not change the creation date?
Kind regards, Stefan.
Thanks for your contribution
Yeah I would be really thankful if someone has a good solution for this. I find it really strange that no one is complaining about this.

PLEASE change path in Ativ S to install apps to SD card

Now there is all this new progress with unlocked Ativ S' can some clever hacker please allow apps to be installed direct to SD card. Maybe via a registry edit. This was done for the Microsoft Surface so may be possible in the Ativ S. The following is taken direct from my hints and tips thread for the Surface...
52. Install Apps Direct to SD Card
By default only media files can be installed to the SD cards and apps are installed to internal memory. If you have a 32gig tablet, you will realise internal memory is precious and limited. Free up internal memory by changing the location of where apps are installed. Run Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx and change the location path of the PackageRoot key from C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps to say D:\WindowsApps (where D: is the drive letter of your SD card and WindowsApps is the name of a folder you created in your SD card). You may need to change permissions on the Appx registry folder so that you can edit the key. You can also change the app repository to another directory by changing the PackageRepository key in a similar manner.
PLEASE!!!
Currently, we can't even browse the SD card, much less install apps there. It's not even mounted at a visible path. I'll post if I find a way, though.

Looking at the fs directly, i'd say that everything is mounted through Mount point, like android/Linux do.
Don't be too sure it's a user-mode visible mount point, though. There's a special DLL in System32 for accessing the SD card. It may just be mounted on a different drive letter - -WOLF-'s hack accesses C:\ specifically, though it could access others - but there's no reference to an actual path for it anywhere that I can see.
