i dont now if it belong to here but i need help unlocking my k-jam to simfree. i have tride enything please help me...
my rom version is : 2.16.9.1 wwe

You need to ask this question in that thread. There are others there who encountered problems and were able to overcome them.
I personally had to run it twice (second time after manually installing enablerapi on my wizard which is discussed in the thread).
In the event that you are encountering a new problem it really belongs in the thread abotu the program.

FEW QUESTIONS?

I just got a TMOBILE MDA. My first question is by switching my rom to the latest O2 or Imate ROM would it unlock my phone so that i can use it with NON Tmobile sims...?
If not... how can i unlock it without damagin anything?

comeon u people... help me out here... i went through search and read lot of things talking about unlocking.. but noone gives u a straight easy msg...
some unlock your sim but can not unlock CID... but noone explained what CID means .. called id??
pls help me out.. i'm trying to look for info.. but i can't seem to find an easy guide.. i'm not lazy.. if thats what ur thinking.

Unlocking CID is for flashign ROM.
At your current knowledge, I won't suggest you to flash your ROM. Flashing your ROM without much knowledge can potentially kill your phone.
Just unlocking your phone (SIM unlock) is sufficient for now. I think aWizard can SIM unlock your phone.

At this page, there is a line on top of the page, that looks like this

Click on `Search`
At the next screen, type in aWizard
and click on the result into the thread and get the file. Looks for the real thread though.

do your own research
try doing some research instead. I bought my first windows smart phone one week ago, researched the ROM upgrades and methods at this forum and others. I was able to unlock my phone, safely backup my stock ROM, and flash a much improved radio and firmware package without any trouble thanks to the excellent resources available.
If you want someone to do it for you or hold your hand, you have no business hacking your phone anyway. Leave it to those who can research for themselves.

Thank you to everyon for your help. Yes the wiki should be the first stop. But have you visited the wiki lately? it really dosent help out that much, cause it dosent have that much information in the first place.
If you Look at the main forum, i have already complained about that .
as for the link to the romkitchen for the wizard, i will just wait till someone tests it out.

anyway, if you don't understand the steps in the wiki, i can give you a hand, and help you, stuff i never got from those guys.

its not some are againts noobs, everyone is here to help, and learn, but if someone is asking the same set of questions which are answered several times in the forum or mentioned in the wiki, then......................

Yes I understand but I'm not totally sure about what I have readed in the wiki and I don't want to break my Blue Angel because it's an expensive phone. So if someone can just give me some steps to do a good rom update it would be very cool

If i would act like that on my 2 forums, for sure they would be empty right now.

All i know now, and have my BA in less than a week, i took the risk to try!
Nicely, I have now one great rom, and the PDA at his top!
Everyone can read the wiki, yes, thats true, but is very normal someone have doubts, is afraid, etc!
Beside following the wiki steps, it is important that you have the battery charged, and the minimum amount of programs running on the computer.
Those 2 basic steps will help a lot.

Why don't you ask HTC or Microsoft for a guide with simple steps and pictures ?
I will answer the above question - because they won't bother to make it, operators have rom upgrading guides, if you know basic procedure you will have no problem using MAUpgradeUT_NOID.exe for upgrade, it is written all over the board, but someone should read it.
Everyone has more or less fear when he upgrade hes device for a first time, here was the same, i took the risk and a after more than a year i am rom maker (not consider myself as the best one)
TIP: You do not need to read, you must read and understand what you are reading

I don't have any problems to upgrade at my own.
I upgraded, downgraded, upgraded again, etc, and din't asked help to do those stuff.
But you know, no one is equal to another and everyone is different.
If he is afraid and have doubts, what we should do?

The future of the root possibilities

i own a LG G4 (h815)
i have a very big and important question to @Chainfire and all others hack devellopers :
I know that it's impossible at this time to root a locked bootloader with MM 6.0 firmware ... everybody here says so ....
But there are one chance "one day" to have this possibility ???
what's the limit of hack for rooting on Android devellopment ? can we keep the hope or it's a fight definitively lost ?
It's strange to have root possibilities on LP 5.X with locked bootloader ...and this MM no ...
.......... for the future ,if the manufacturers,for security reasons , will make the "politic" decision to firmly prohibit to unlock theirs bootloaders...with only have MM 6.0 firmwares (and future higher ) for newest devices ????? it's the end of Android development ??? ( but just only rare unofficial methods with very very hight technical risk of hard-brick ! )

In place ,you should show me examples of "sticky threads" here ,where it concretely speak about ( without many technicals words ) in summary .
because i only see : "not possible..... no.... protected system......etc ...."
before my question ,i have read Chainfire pined threads on this section and it seem that it need to have unlocked bootloader for that ( ??? ) and the solution of root in this case was already found .

I assume you meant "locked". A confusing typo.
Also, it seems that you have done very, very little research towards answering your own question, and your question is rather common.
Apologies if this post seems callous, but your question is similar to a boy just learning to dribble a basketball and then assuming he Michael Jordan would be interested in answering his amateur-level questions. Questions that could be answered if you just kept dribbling & practicing on your own...
Also, habits like "???" do not instill a sense of maturity.

i'm not "immature" too ,you don't have to give lesson ...and you can't judge a person with 3 sentences !
i really begin to believe that XDA is an "inhuman" forum ,sometime pretentious ,not humble & tolerant , reserved for big "geeks" ( its : "learn yourself or shut up" ! ) ...and all that is not the spirit at all of "sharing" comunauties and open source ...but fortunately i meet "some" good members and some good "recognized devellopers & contributors" here .

Hey, I am a noob around here, which means you will not see me asking any questions for at least a year or two, because most noob answers have been asked and answered hundreds of times. There is a looot of info about what exactly a looked bootloader hinders, and there are already established ways around this. Lots of things to read...
I could be nicer while you could be more self-reliant and resourceful. We both can improve. Off we go!

but it's depending how is the question ...
i don't have asked "how to root MM with locked bootloader" because yes ...... there are many theads and others who speak about ......
but if persons with big knowledges like Chainfire (one of the king of hack and programation) , and with MM security coding build and this known verification of system integrity (between bootloader & this MM ) ==> there will NEVER have way to bypass this one because definitively impossible to change anything because strict conditions for to have an Android working.........or if these persons have seen some breach at this time and need more or less work ......or if they have abandoned researches ...
My question is legitim ( and not "stupid" ) because in the life there are computer (linux&windows ) securities who are impossible to "hack" ...

you have big chance to have an easy bootloader unlock way for NEXUS ...because on Lg G4 with official tool, it break the waranty !!! in case of problem : goodbye !
I just hope so much a miracle for a root of MM 6 with bootloader locked ! some people can't unlock it .....and @Chainfire for example may do it ,i think... i pray .

My point is that bootloader state is not relevant to root access. The bootloader on my phone has not been unlocked in over a year.
