I've got big problems with my Kaiser,
Almost everytime it falls in Standby mode, i can't reactivate it with the On/Off button. But the green LED is still blinking.
i've got the original HTC ROM 1.56.407.3
Does anybody have same problems? Or has anybody a solution for that problem.
It really bugs to restart it 20 times a day...
change to a different rom
and which one?
Any one...
I know it doesn't help and not very informative, but any of them sounds like it'd be better than what you have now.
I'm quite new here and have no idea which rom is good and stable.
Are there newer original ROMs from HTC?
Or which one would you propose?
I wood prefer one in German

if you want a stable rom try Sleuth's v1.1
is it in german?
Same happened to me some days ago... but I solved it with a hard reset. Now it works perfectly again.
Take a look at those 2 threads, maybe they help....

Soft Resets
Had the same problem, tried new ROM's, hard resets...etc..etc. Problem fixed by changing SIM card from a three (or four) year old sim to the latest available. Everything running perfectly now!
I'd agree, it's not the ROM. I'm using it since day 1 and haven't even needed a hard reset yet. I want to try Sleuth's but the stock is so stable I'm not feeling the need to jump. I'd check your SIM as mentioned and them maybe a hard reset and a carefull watch of what you install back on the phone to see if it's a rogue application.
I have a 6 or 7 month old Kaiser branded by AT&T. I got seperated from it late last week, so it ran it battery down till failure. When I went to recharge the phone, it started attempting to boot, staying at the AT&T globe screen and then appearing to boot again, (black screen and momentary vibrate.) With a bit of searching I found the suggestion of boot to loading screen and leave it there to charge. After 6 hours, the battery has a measured voltage of 4.17V so that should be enough, but the phone continues the booting loop.
I tried hard resetting with the two keys and stylus. The phone acted like a normal hard reset with the questions, but when it tried to boot, it continued the reboot loop.
My question, do you think I should attempt to reload the stock AT&T ROM?
I'm new at this so there's a large learning curve. If you guys think this is a low probably solution, then I'll sent it back / buy another one and save the long learning curve. I use this for business so I could spead the learning curve time writing software I get paid for writing.
Thanks,
Bernie
your phone got damaged from battery drain? is that possible?
i think your phone has another problem... i really dont think the battery drain was the reason...
can you go to bootloader if so try flashing new ROM (you will loose data) but again you said you have performed hard reset (partial HR) so your phone is clean!
if you want send your phone back - yes you need to get stocked ROM and stocked SPL back

If you already have Hard-SPL installed and it is a version capable, you may try to put the Rom with a Radio onto the Micro-SD card and re-flash the phone that way. I had an issue where i got a boot loop and it turned out that flashing the radio fixed the issue. I hope you at least had a current backup prior to the hard reset because as of now, there is no way to retrieve it
No worries on the backup, it's backed up daily and I only use it as a data carrier. The only drag of the reset is the time of reloading apps.
I agree it may be more than just software issue due to dead battery, but I have to try everything I can. I've back on my old Moto smart phone and it's just not the same, hahahaha.
Now back to studying Kaiser ROMs and how to.
Bernie
As a follow up for anyone who runs across this in the future. I flashed the original AT&T rom and the problem still exists. I spoke to tech support yesterday and they are mailing out a new/reman replacement. So the problem appears to be terminal.
Thanks guys for trying to help.

I was wondering if I was missing a post. I still get random Cyanogen Shut downs. I am using 4.2.13 after a wipe and still experience random shutdowns.
The phone just goes dark and I have to power it up again.
I have read some people attribute it to locked home screen and some people while using locale.
It is quite frustrating and I was wanting to know... if there isn't a fix, what Rom should I port back to. I need to clear this up because it gets aggravating missing calls.
Give superD 1.2 a try or even dwangs ROM they both are very speedy and well stable
Try re-flashing the rom, or you can try another rom as you said...i recommend Super D or WG Build....i myself use WG Build
You might be running out of system space.
Go to console:
$ su
# df
Check the Available next to /system. 28mb should be normal, but you could always apply the 10mb ramhack. Go with CFS for stability.
Can you recreate the scenario by which the phone will reboot on it's own and get a logcat?
No I cannot recreate it, it is very random. Afterwards I cannot logcat. I have tried wipe and reinstall of alot of his roms, all of them do the same thing.
I was hoping there was a fix because it is his rom I prefer.
I guess I will try another rom and maybe the problem will resolve itself.

Try Enoms rom if you tried Super D and WG-Build Y-2.6 with no success.
The problem you have is definitely weird.
I also suggest updating your Radio, Spl and RA Dream to the latest versions.
If possible try another microSD card preferably Class 6 to see if that fixes your problem.
I've been experiencing this same thing with random shut downs. I am running 4.2.13 also.
I have tried a wipe and re-install but the problem still exists.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. The only thing I can say is that it always happens after the phone has been idle and when I go to pick it up it's powered down and I then need to power it back up.
It is very frustrating becuase you're never fully aware that the phone is off until you go to use it. I don't know if it's the ROM or some program that I've installed. I've been uninstalling all recent programs but so far the problem still exists. Perhaps I'll try one of the other recommended roms.
I have tried the stock rom and Dwangs rom, so I doubt its the ROM. Also I installed minimal applications and it still happens.
Its a toss-up between battery and phone. Although my battery is an extended battery, it can happen even when the battery is at 80%+ charge.
I called T-mo and they are going to swap out my phone. When I get it I will run the stock rom for a couple days with my Extended Battery. If it continues, I will put the stock battery back in it. Then I will go back and root it. If the problem comes back, then it has to be the rom.
Brutal-Force,
I'll eagerly wait your results. Unfortunately I purchased my G1 off of ebay a year ago so if it is the phone I'm out of luck.
Out of curiosity do you use Nitrodesk Touch down for Exchange? I've had some reboots right in the middle of synchronizing my email with this program.
Thanks
No I do not. As a matter of fact, I had uninstalled almost everything in an attempt to track down the culprit.
I really do think its gonna end up being the battery. Since the phone is not an option for you, I would recommend trying out a cheap 10 dollar battery off the internet. While I can't imagine why a charged battery would do this, I have noticed by looking at a friends G1 that the phone interprets batteries in different ways. In his phone his battery never showed below 90% even though after 10 hours it would run out of battery. As soon as he put in on the charger it showed 90%.
I to had purchased one of the extended batteries shortly after purchasing the phone. It has worked fine for just about a year but perhaps it is beginning to have problems. I'll dig out the original stock battery later today and try that for a day or so and see what happens.
Thanks
I have the same problem. My phone randomly restarts. It's more of an annoyance rather than a big problem, especially since it's almost always a restart and not a shutdown. If you guys do indeed find out it's the battery do post your findings here!
Thanks
I have exactly the same symptoms. Though before I saw this post I was attributing it to the fact that I have recently dropped my phone.
I also have a spare battery (I'm using Andida instead of original now), so I'll test to see if that happens with the original too.
Hmmm..
OK so i take out my extended battery and put in the original battery and plug it in to charge since it's on the low side. The phone immediately reboots and continues to do so indefinitely.
As soon as the home screen comes up it reboots.
So I put my extended battery back in and same thing. Now I'm not sure what to think so I've backed up my SD card and performed a complete wipe and am installing a completely different ROM.
I'm hoping it was the ROM or some program and not the phone.
I'll get back later.

Its good that you guys are investigating the cause of this issue. I too admitingly started using CM when I first rooted my phone. I too had issues and FCs so changing the Rom was the first thing that came to my mind.
You never know maybe its the battery (see the 1700 battery thread on the many problems Andidas has had with their G1 extended batteries)
In the end I am hopeful that you find a solution and have found out sometimes its as easy as changing Roms to fix many complaints/issues you might have.
This is what I've experienced so far.
I did a full wipe of my phone yesterday and installed the AOSP ROM (went away from cyanogen) and I have installed most of my programs. So far all is great. I've had no reboots or any other issues. Since yesterday I have been using my extended battery so I know the battery is OK.
I can't say for sure what was causing my issue. I had been using cyanogen's ROM for quite some time so I don't have a reason to think it was the ROM unless it was one of the current updates.
Perhaps I just had a collection of issues that came to a head and it was time to clean the phone and start over.
Same Problem
Hi, First post here. Great site by the way.
I am having the same problem as you are. Cyanogen, manup's 2.1 (1.5) and the "official tmobile 1.6" rom would frequently reboot or shut off on me. I tried three different sd cards and completely wiped my phone everytime i went between these roms. After much frustration I unrooted my phone last week and went to stock 1.6. It was working perfectly fine but the terrible battery life convinced me to try rooting my g1 again. After going through all the steps the same symptoms came back. So in order to be able to use my phone I went back to the stock unrooted rom. I also would like to mention that before these symptoms came up I had my phone rooted since may 2009. I also tried various SPL's and recoverys while trying to resolve my problem. Thanks
Random reboots are the reason why I don't run CM roms for any length of time anymore. I do load them from time to time to check it out and what not, but more often than not, I always find myself back on a Dwang rom.
My new G1 should be arriving tomorrow, but it has been 2-3 days now with the original battery. No shut downs. While it will be nice to have a new phone (although my phone is unblemished) it will suck to have to re-root it. I am pretty certain its the battery.
I will recheck when I get my new phone set up, I will put the extended battery back in it. I am still pretty certain it is the battery though.
I bought this phone hardly used from Canada and was simlocked so I did all the hard spl'ing, sim unlocking and all the other "ings and installed the brilliant DonSalari ROM worked beautifully for around 7 months and I took care of it. I never installed anything else of messed about with any settings.
But two days back after heavy usage the battery almost died and I came on put it on recharge and now its going into the reboot loop.
I hard reset it, reflashed the radio, took out the battery for hours and a lot of other things I read about here and none of them work.
It will sometimes boot up and become normal for a few minutes and after a while go back to its cycle. Currently it wont even stay on long enough to hook up to my PC. But sometimes holding the reset button helps and that was how I was able to reflash the radio
Anybody got any ideas. My phone is still newish and I seriously cannopt afford a new one now
Any advice would be more than welcomed
Thanks in advance
You could try the radio 10.00.25.05.
As least for me, all radios but 10.00.25.xx makes my diamond keep in this reboot loop.
I'm trying to figure out why that happen, but it seems that no one knows.
Hi, i've just got this same problem
had this phone for a while now, about 15 months, just finished a phonecall 5-10 minutes ago phone reset, thought how odd, and now it just keeps resetting after the loading screen disappears, have now hard reset it, and still doing it.
will try flashing a new radio see if it solves it
i have radio version 1.17.25.09 using 2.07 shaks which have been using for the last 6 months or so i think without any troubles!
*edit*
flashed 10.00.25.05. seems to be working now
annoyingly i hard reset first and i've just had a new harddrive on my pc so lost all my contacts
thanks

Just after buying my diamond I changed to hardspl, radio and rom, and it was like your situation, just after a few days working I had to hard reset, because it starts to auto reset. After the hard reset, everything was fine again for a few more days. Then I tried to change the radio to the more used one, 10.00.25.05. The problem was gone until some days ago, when I decided to try Security Unlock and 1.17.xx radio, and the problem was back. I reverted to 10.00.25.05, everything was fine again, except the wifi, now I can't connect to the internet, just to local network (no problems with other phones using the same wifi hotspot).
Before chaging back to 10.00.25.05, I have also tried a lot of things, many hardspl, mtty, different roms, security unlock, removed security unlock, diferent radios, but the only ones that really worked were: 10.00.25.xx and 10.02.xx. With 10.08.xx radio I could partially use the phone, but sense 2.5 didn't worked and neither phone network.
Now I'm using 10.02.25.32 for 1 day and a half. No problems until now, no resets, network and sense working fine, battery is good (it's 75% on the second day). I'll try for more days and see if everything is ok.
Sorry for your contacts
That happened to me once, now I always backup my contacts in internal storage and also in 2 computers. Lots of version, good that PinBackup writes the date on the file, easier to see which one is newer
Thanks for sharing your situation. I'm trying to figure out what can be done to solve this problem, more experiences is more information for my "research"
lucky I had a backup from december so still got most of them!
I may try a few radio's next week since i've got a lot of free spare time at the mo.
may try a few different roms as well and see how it goes!
Finally solved this and all it needed was a good 15 hour recharge and now its back to completly normal
hrmm, mine starting rebooting again earlier, again just after a phonecall, although this time i was driving and i didn't answer it but it kept rebooting, taking the battery out for a few minutes and its stopped now, will try flashing a different rom next week and see what happens
i'll leave it to charge overnight too, i did try a different battery incase it thought the battery was low as i'm using the offical extended one, but still did it with the original
restarting prob...
hello same problem here too..plz provide me the link too..for the radio 10.02.25.32

Well the hd on my computer fried not long after posting my last message so I didn't get time to try out different roms/radio's
still using the 10.00.25.05, since i've last posted its been fine, however it has started to reboot itself sometimes, battery showing as 30/40% starts rebooting then battery shows as 2%, although i've recently been moving between houes and haven't had time to charge it properly.
i've also noticed HSPDA recention is a million times better with this radio, I have another diamond (well my partners) and she barely gets good reception with HSPDA, in our home i generally get 2-3 bars and she can't get anything, she's using 1.17.x.x strangly she's never had the phone restart with her, and has been using that radio longer than I had been.
also for the radios, you can either search for the thread or click this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470306
Regarding: Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190 - SIM unlocked version
Hello eveyone.
I'm having one of the strangest problems I've encountered with a phone before and I just can't seem to track down the problem. Please read this thread with an open mind as from what I can tell this is a unique issue that sounds like normal issues.
The main problem is that the phone keeps rebooting. From the get go this sounds like a normal issue with either the battery or power switch but here is the weird part...
It only happens when the phone is fully charged!
IBackground
I have had the phone since release and I have only ever used the stock rom that came with the phone. I don't really use phones much n general except for using it for calls texts and BBC news. I didn't even have a SD Card in it until after the problem started. Everything was running great, I never had any battery problems at all, and then a couple of weeks ago my phone contract expired with Orange and I decided that I would get a SIM only plan with EE.
While waiting for the SIM card to arrive in the post I charged my phone up one day and noticed that I had to power on the device. The phone seemed to power on fine, I could use all features of the phone, but when I turned the screen off for more then 5 or 6 seconds the phone would restart. There would give no indication that it had turned off or that it had powered off in anyway. It would simply just be blank, I'd press the power switch, and it would vibrate once and begin its start up procedure as if it had been turned off completely.
Here is where it gets weird, the phone will keep cycling on its own like this until the battery drains itself through constant reboots until about 85% juice, at which point it begins to operate functionally.
I heard that some people say they had problems with the power switch. I figured that if it was the power switch it then the problem would be consistant and would continue giving me problems when the battery was below 85%. I think I can rule out the power switch as faulty. Naturally I came to the conclusion it must be software, perhaps an APP installed which was incompatible. I tried all sorts of things, regardless I came to the conclusion it needed to be factory reset. Factory reset didn't do anything, still does it. My next thought was Firmware, it must be the firmware that was corrupt. I went through tutorials and rooted my phone, installed recovery software and ended up installing Cyanogenmod 11 (Which looks really beautiful btw, wish I had done that sooner) and buying an SD Card too do so. Still the problem persists! I read that some people had problems with swelling batteries, I replaced the battery completely just incase. £10 wasted, still does it.
At this point I'm starting to get confused. I started thinking perhaps it was the cable providing too much charge to the device, over charging somehow. Tried a different cable and a different power source. Still the poblem persists. I made sure there was no dirt in any of the connectors incase that was causing something. No joy.
So to summerize:
1. Factory Reset
2. Replaced Battery
3. Changed power leads
4. Cleaned device
5. Flashed to completely new firmware
I've completely run out of ideas on what it could be. Why would the phone operate absolutely fine under 85% power? Its just weird! I'd appreciate any help some one could provide me. I've not seen any one else with this problem on the internet. Please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Craig.

I've completely run out of ideas on what it could be. Why would the phone operate absolutely fine under 85% power? Its just weird! I'd appreciate any help some one could provide me. I've not seen any one else with this problem on the internet. Please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Craig.

Sorry to hear about this man!
I am completely stumped on this one! You've basically done all the basic solutions but to no avail. I had a problem similar to this where my device would reboot randomly, whenever it wanted to and in my case, the solution was to buy a new battery and that actually worked. I've had the battery for almost 2/3 months now and it's still going strong.
Back to your problem, I honestly don't know of a solution. I really wish I could be of help but as I said, you've already tried the basic solutions.
Again, sorry to not be of much help!

I think I have the same problem as you did. After suddenly dropping and rebooting, my battery level jumps back up when the phone starts, and again, and again. The phone is functioning normally only when plugged in. I also presume that it is a battery problem, but the fact that the battery level rises back after dropping, makes me wonder.
EDIT: Problem solved with buying a new battery.
Sorry to jump in, just curious, did you solved this? If you do, hope to hear your solution, might help others in future
