guys do u knw if this keyboard is compatible with advantage x7501 and its gonna be released nxt month
It works as a standard bluetooth keyboard, so yes, it should work.
I've got my eye on one of these too, for use with my PS3. But I've just ordered the Logitech Dinovo Edge at £100, so maybe Logitech have had enough of my hard earned for a while.
thanks man i will surely get one of these
Did anyone get one of these devices yet? It would be awesome to customize one of the lids to allow for the Athena to fit inside of the cover. It would seem to be the ultimate in UMPC's I would think even better than the shift, since it would have the GPS option from the Athena and now with backlit keyboard, built-in dual use pointer solution and battery power for a months worth of usage.
Any feedback would be appreciated, I love my other diNovo Edge and Media Board's, but would like to hear about the new diNovo mini before dropping the cash on yet another portable keyboard that I forget to carry along with me in my travels...

Dinovo Mini
Hello everybody...
I'm also interesting in this keyboard. It looks very nice. I could be a great solution for my X7501; it seems that we could fit our device in the cover.
Do you think the drivers could be install in X7501
Any feedback?
Regards.

my guess is that it will use standard HID drivers and that we will be able to easily utilize it. I checked the specs and it looks like it will be under 20 mm's too large to fit under the cover without a slight bit of modification. With the modification, I believe that we will have a woderful solution / workaround... Hope to test the keyboard next week...

hi all, new member speaking .
i bought the diNovo Mini yesterday and tried to pair with a Glofiish X800 (wm6.1 cooked rom).... it works without any problem !!
(the icon of the paired item in the wm interface is a keyboard, so i think that is working with standard bt-keyboard driver)
the "windows" button is working, the keyboard itself is working, it works even the "clickpad" (used as "arrows" keys)
i'm searching some keys that acts as "OK/Close" button now and as soon as possible i would try with RDP if the "mouse arrow" appears in some way using the trackpad. (it will be wonderful...)
(sorry for my poor english...)
its a good investment
have bought some months back it even has usb bluetooth dongle for instant pairing with pcs without bluetooth..butt athena is already heavy and to couple it with mini would be cool but will make the unit more heavy

Hello ZyRix1st.
Have you tried the track pad?
If it is like a mouse this keyboard will be the right solution for me.
Are the keys more comfortable that the keyboard of the X7501?
Regards.
If the track pad works, can we use it like a mouse outside Microsoft Word application to launch and control other apps or does it only function in Word?
...
track pad
Hi.
Any news about the use of these keyboard?
Can we use the keyboard and the track pad as a mouse pad?
Thansk for your comments.

Keysonic 340BT Keyboard
Hi again,
Well its arrived and it paired up OK, and everything seems to work as it should. the laptop type finger board is a joy to use, and the only niggle I have is the finger scroll bit only moves the screen in small moves at a time. It comes in a very smart black bag, and takes 2 aaa batteries. double click does'nt do much, but thats more down to the athena not having a double click function. The keys have a normal keyboard type feel to them with a good feedback to them.
in all it good for the money and is great to surf the net on the wide screen tv while on the sofa downing a beer Its better than having a mouse and large keyboard, unless you are heavy into typing. Any questions, PM me or leave one here.
All the best
Jay
So has anyone managed to test the Logitech keyboard & pad with bluetooth/usb on the Athena? I think i'd prefer logitech to the keysonic option.
Any News?
Hi.
Any news about the dinovo mini??? Someone had tried it?
Responderman.
In these time, How do you feel with your keyboard? Is enough small to be carry out?
I was reading about it and they say it's portable.
Thanks a lot.
I have had a dinivo mini for a while a just realised that it might work with my new htc touch hd and I can say it works very nicely, not perfectly but nicely.
And to answer thoses asking i just installed blue input and now the mouse pad works as well, I havent tried it in opera yet although i did find one slight annoyance in opera when you use the keyboard to input text you have to wait for the text to apear before you press space or it wont register it also the left and right buttons also seem to soom in and out on opera so editing text gets a little annoying as well I will mess around some more and post back if anyone is interested.
***Edit*** actually installing blue input seems to have overridden the dinovo mini as a mouse so it only functions as a mouse now and no keys work. I will continue to test.
***Edit 2*** after installing blue input the keyboard no longer seems to function it pairs just fine but nothing provokes a responce in my device, I will need to test more but from what I can see if you want your dinovo mini to function as a keyboard more than a mouse then dont install blue input, at least not until it is properly supported.
***Edit 3*** after deleting all settings re connecting and reinstalling blueinput everything seems to function as it should i.e. mouse and keyboard of the dinovo both work fine.

Thanks a lot for your information.
It seems that the mini work fine with your HD, and probably will work fine with the Athena. I'm using WM 6.1. just using a driver like blueinput.
Which are your impressions about the keyboard, it is portable? and enough to introduce a lot of text? Is the pad useful as a mouse?
Regards.

Sorry to burst bubble guys but my mate just got one of these. I sat with it for 20 mins trying to tell me self I would want one but they keys are just plain AWEFULL
Really nasty tactile feedback - from logitech!! Unbelievable reallly!
There are no raised buttons so you cant touch type easily and find way back to F and J
Battery and backlight are nice though.
I tried to type the same sentace about 20 times waiting for something to go click and for my brain to accept this as a possible puchase.
It did not come. I wouldnt get any more comfortable with this and its not as good to type with as ameo keyboard (raised F and J)
This is sucking bum
for £60........I could er well do lots but NOT buy this shizzle. I have never before seen a logitech product that I believe sucks. But this - IMO sucks.
Thanks....

Any confirmed working BT keyboards?
My trusty Think Outside BT keyboard that has sync'ed with every phone I've had in the last 4-5 years doesn't work. Gutted.
I need a keyboard for this thing!
Any help links advice appreciated.

That's strange, because my iGo (Think Outside) bluetooth keyboard works fine. Didn't even need to install the Think Outside software or drivers - just put the keyboard in discover mode, phone picked it right up, assigned the HID profile, and voila - works grand!
Well waddya know! Don't have any of the shortcut functionality or command and function options but its working as a basic keyboard. Thanks robertlewisca! Never thought of that!
Quite expensive and big solution, the Logitech DiNoVo Mini.

Does Logitec diNovo Mini works on HD2? I checked the official website of Logitec and don't see it would work on Windows Mobile. Kindly tell me and confirm if it works on HD2 and teach me how to pair. Thanks!
Apple wireless (bluetooth) keyboard works on HD2

To let you know, just used apple's wireless keyboard and it works perfectly !
I was able to outperform the Cootek Touchpal (software)-keyboard , which usually works pretty fast if you know how it works!
hope this helps! perhaps you could try it yourself in the apple stores XD
WORKING EXTERNAL KEYBOARDS ON HD2:
+ Apple Wireless Keyboard
+ Logitech DiNoVo Mini (confirmed by Zero Masamune )
Apple
Apple wireless BT keyboards (newer types) do not work! It pairs OK, everything looks OK, connected and all but - no typing. Unfortunately. I do have a Stowaway foldable, works perfect, although shortcuts do not function (none). Fortunately all others keys do, as with my last HD keys were mixed up sometimes (UK/US/NL problems)
So which BT keybard would you recommend for HD2?
And does the embeded touchpad/trackpoint work with HD2 as well?

I also got the Logitech DiNoVo Mini connected with my HD2. However, the mouse pad function not working on HD2. Only can use the mouse pad for up, down, left and right movement.
Are there any others? Im thinking of getting a BT keyboard
My ThinkOutside BT folding slimline works a charm... Some of the keys take a while to 'warm up' before they'll work 100% but I've been using this thing since I got my Tungsten T3 so it's kinda understandable.
Anyone get bluethooth mouse connected on HD2? Or I need to install third party software before HD2 can connected with bluetooth mouse?
hi,
looks like the hd2 dosent like bt mice, my advantage do work well with 2 of them, the hd2 wont. keyboards i tested til now are the freedom universal 2 and the think outside stowaway. both working well for basic keys, but support only english 'qwerty' keyboard layout and no spezial language chars like german 'ÄÖÜß'.

By that do you mean. "p, backspace, enter, delete" don't work for a while??
I noticed this on my Stowaway and I thought it was faulty hardware and I was gutted. First time I paired with 1.43 it worked like a charm for about a week, then those keys stopped working.. it may have had something to do with flashing to 1.48, but after some repeated hammering and opening and closing of the keyboard they start working, sluggishly and then they are okay.
I thought it was a problem with my (admittedly ancient) Think Outside Stowaway BT keyboard.
Nice to know its not that!!

X7500 Advantage has MS BT Stack, HD2 (like TP2) has Widcomm BT stack that don't recognize BT mouse as BT "Profile".....so.....
we hope for a developer's release of a MicroSoft Bluetooth Stack for our device.

why is it not made a keyboard that you can attach to your mobile phone through the usb port? it would have been fine with a keyboard of the same quality as what was on the qtek 9000 or is it allready made?
I'm using a HP iPAQ branded BT foldable keyboard and it works perfectly. I guess it is really a Stowaway Keyboard but I'm not 100% sure.
It folds out to an almost full size keyboard and has a nice retractable stand in the rear of the left half (the rear of the right half is occupied by a compartment for two rechargeable AAA-batteries).
Hey,
today I thought I have to try something new. When i saw my HD2 lie on my bluetooth Keyboard I just had to give it a try. So I paired the HD2 with a Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard.
For first impression just watch the linked video on youtube i made:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l9GckkXzSw
It is kinda possible to control the HD2 with the keyboard. Some commands wont work with the keyboard arrows, some do.
It is possible to assign keyboard keys to Morphgear and FPSECE but they wont work in game. May somehow it would work since the keys are assigned.
Enjoy this one
BTW: its german layout qwertz keyboard but the HD2 takes it as a wwe qwerty keyboard so at the end of the video you see me having some trouble writing a ""
How do I go about pairing my diNovo Edge with the Leo?

i like it too what is it?
hey, yes the dinovo is a bluetooth keyboard ... i dont even use the logitech bluetooth dongle because i dont like the size of it.
Well, the cradle is the battery charging station for the bluetooth keyboard
Leo kinda fits in there but its connected nowhere just used it for the video.
I'm using the USB receiver since I use my Bluetooth for audio, not sure it could do both at the same time.
How do I go about putting the diNovo in pairing mode?
turn your keyboard upside down and press the connect button then look for available bt devices on your HD2
Incredible feature! Did any user who have bluetooth keyboard have tried this on Touch HD?
I saw this at WMPU.. good stuff ...
That's fun!
I just tried it on my HTC Elf and it works! Even when I turn off the screen.
I bet the iPad can do this too... oh wait, it probably can't, seeing as how Apple have their own overpriced keyboard/dock for it.
pairing a LG touch
just tried to pair my LG Touch with no success, the device does show up in my listing fully described, it asks for a passcode which i entered 0000, and it tries to pair and eventually fails....i wonder if you all are pairing because you are using HTC products.....which will be fine being the im due for my HTC Evo 4G next week.... WOOHOO!
Do you think a
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3616
would work ?
Works with Logitech MX5500
Done and confirmed to work with Logitech MX5500 Keyboard
WOW amazing!
I've had a logitech dinovo edge for 4 years, and I always thought the bluetooth capability was somehow proprietary(even though thinking about it that doesn't make sense if it's labeled bluetooth) I just tried it out and it works pretty well, though when typing messages it starts to lag when i type too fast. I wish though it could take advantage of all the other inputs on the kbd like the trackpad.
HD2 bluetooth keyboard works great
I bought a mini bluetooth keyboard on [email protected] and it works great with my HD2.
It makes typing txt-msgs with my giant fingers easy.
It was only $34. Model wkb-1500
Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a Nexus One, stock 2.2.1 ROM and a DiNovo Edge. I can pair the keyboard with the phone but then I get "Paired but not Connected" in the bluetooth device listing. When I click on it there is no response, only the option to unpair.
Thoughts? Thanks!
also working : DiNovo Mini !!
Hello! i would also tell u that the diNovo Mini Keyboard is compatible to Leo. I'm using this little keyboard since 1 year and i am very happy with it. I can put it in my pocket too.... and the accu of it is very powerful (along 2 weeks of using every day)....
only the mediaplayer doesnt work with the buttons (i use strg + ...).
and the price : uuuuhhh a lil bit too much ;D
on the pics u can see how small it is... (cant compare with leo cause i shot the pics with him )

This response is over a week late, but if you get this, I hope it helps.
After pairing:
Download BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input Demo from Market. After you install either of these programs, go into Settings>Language&Keyboard and check the box next to the program name (either BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input). Go into the program's settings menu (should be right underneath it in the list). For BlueKeyboard JP, it'll ask you to select your keyboard and input type/style (e.g., US QWERTY), among other things. For Blue Input Demo, it'll allow you to search for your keyboard. Just search and choose it when it pops up on screen.
Last thing, change your input method. For example, if you want to use your keyboard to type a text message, open up the text messaging program. In any of the textbox where the text goes, press and hold your finger on the screen until a menu pops up with "Input Method" in it. Select it and choose the program you just downloaded (Blue Keyboard/Blue Input) in the menu. Your BT keyboard should now work.
I used Blue Input Demo on my HD2 with the diNovo Edge and found that it's better than BlueKeyboard JP. Give it a try and let me know if it works.
I have connected a Apple bluetooth keyboard to my Tab. That together with a small plastic stand works very fine.

Long click the device in the bluetooth menu and select to use as an hid device. worked great for me.
Got the Keyboard here in the UK and I have to say it's great.
It's also only £39.99 at the moment instead of the £79.99 RRP. Might buy a few more and sell them on if it's a UK only thing at the moment.
The build quality is great as well. Well worth a purchase!

Go to the Verizon Community Forum and add to the thread I started. They say they know it is an issue and will fix it but nothing has happend for a month. No updates and no schedule. The thread is here - communityDOTvzwDOTcom/t5/Other-Android-Devices/Bluetooth-broken-on-Verizon-Galaxy-Tab/td-p/336065
Replace the DOT with .
I have a Galaxy Tab (T-Mobile). Recently, I got a Freedom Pro bluetooth keyboard and a Micro$oft bluetooth mouse. Both paired up and work good with the tab. I did discover that, when you want to use both, it's best to connect the mouse first, then the keyboard. Some of the "special keys" on the keyboard don't work....most annoying..."Home and End". I plan to email the Freedom Pro folks about this.
The Freedom Pro keyboard is really nice. It comes with a leather (well, at least, it looks like leather) carrying case and is very portable. I was also pleased to find that I was able to use it with my PS3...no more on-screen keyboard! The Micro$oft mouse also comes with a carrying case.
T-Mobile Tabs rock!
