I have a Garmin GPS 18 USB Laptop Receiver which is a GPS receiver with a standard USB adapter on it.
Has anyone tried to use a female to male mini adapter and plug this into the mogul.
I have the Garmin Software for the mogul, but would this work and be able to be picked up by the software.
Also what would you suggest for drivers
Adapters don't matter if the device won't work that way.
These phones are designed to be a USB Client Device. Not a USB Host Device.

GPS fix for you if you have the snarlgies
Snarglies: /noun/ from the remulak vocabulary meaning balls ;-) The reason I say this is because there is on this forum a ROM and radio update that will enable GPS (internal) and REV-A (faster EVDO) features of your unit.
hey, anyone knows if the kaiser's usb is host or only client? and if it is client, any way to make it host??

any results for it??
OTG adapter fits, but the jump drive doesnt light up, indicating its not being powered, no recognition. but I am sure that there is an OTG chip on the device though. otherwise they would have a standard mini-a usb port.
where can i find an OTG adaptr??
Mine came with a set of usb adapters, for 20$ I can hook anything TO anything!!!
Although google is your best bet.
I also read that the chipset used in this PDA should have support for OTG USB, and that OTG is controlled by 1 pin on the USB connector, and that HTC might
have left it unconnected..
would be possible to connect it and have OTG functionalities?
Otherwise does it exist something like bluetooth hubs which transform usb devices into bluetooth?
Hello!
I've read many posts about using S730 with GPS over Bluetooth but has anyone used a USB GPS receiver?
For me this would be very handy since this would consume less power (I assume) compared to using a Bluetooth connection.

hello,
locking for the same. Send and receive data via mini USB connector for use a Garmin Vista, Usb memory stick, Adapter for serial connection for older Garmin and other devices.
Any solution possible???
How can I use my flash pen drive as storage memory? I dont think that there are any USB to microSD converters , but actually i can connect the USB flash drive to the miniUSB port on my kaiser, i dont believe that this will work?
Is this possible, and have it been done?
EDIT: OK, something interesting

anyone try it ?
Does anyone think is possible to use
a second Sim-card over USB?
(I know there is stuff like dual-sim-adapter.com )
If you find/write a host driver that would enable VBUS output, USB SIM card reader, write a driver for this USB SIM card reader and integrate it into closed-source (as in "not available to general public") radio build - yes, it will be possible.
Until then - I guess not.
