is there a good aim client for kaiser? what are some good names of the programs
IM+ is a good tool for instant messaging. It is worth the 30 Euros...
Second to that ... I bought IM+ and it is quite good.
Well, I still like the Live Messanger with its BIG TAB But too bad, I want Y! + Aim too
Have IM+ fixed the problem the software had with not reconnecting very well (mostly not at all) after a lost connection. I find Agile is much much better for that, it actually works. Prefer the look of IM+ though.
Hmmm, I have never got that issue yet. I am not sure, but the connection was so stable, it could be the T-Mobile was good at that time.

I have been using MohairSofa's Calendar+ plugin on my home screen so I can see the all of next month's calendar appointments instead of just the next appointment. The program works great except for because of my large number of appointments it is sometimes slow to load or refresh.
Anyone know of a similar program I can try?

You can take a look at TodayAgenda.
That's very similar. And maybe loading a bit faster.
I use today agenda as well, and am a fan. However I want to try Mohairsofa just because of the name!
Ok now I am using Today Agenda, thanks for the recommendation. I really like all the customizable options, however I think the loading time is even slower than Calendar+. I will put up with this loading time though because that is how much I like how I customized its look.
PlanPlus 5.0 for Outlook (FranklinCovey): any better?

The first result on google for planplus is a post with several users complaining of how slow it is, not just on loading but also for navigating. Are you currently using this? If so have these problems been fixed?
Link, please.

Using PlanPlus by FranklinCovey in a mobile way is one of the two most significant capabilities that I require in a phone. Palm O.S. blows & the interface was terrible on my Treo 650, but hey, at least it wasn't slow. I'm not sure if it's any better on the newer Palm devices (Centro, I believe it is?), but I'm just really over the Palm O.S. PlanPlusOnline.com looks smokin', albeit substantially more expensive in the long-run (especially if you opt for the "business" version), but there's no WiFi where I live & the reception of at&t's (EDGE) signal is unpredictable at best, which rules out the best mobile option for me to use PlanPlusOnline.com which is...drum roll please...the iPhone! Perhaps in the future this combo will be a better option for me. Which leaves me with...PlanPlus for Outlook 5.0 on my new Tilt. I'll be starting to use the 30 day trial shortly, so I'll keep you guys posted...
Perhaps removing some or all of the bloatware on my Tilt will speed it up / allow it to run better...or maybe a faster r.o.m. altogether...

Palringo is the best balance of power management/features.
Beejive messenger is also very nice, but it sucks the battery down right now. It is still in beta right now.
IM+ is also a decent messenger app.
does anyone know of an instant messegner that works over wi fi?
They should all work as well over Wifi as over GSM connection.
so Palringo for the win???? lol.. so what does everyone use? time to list! hehe

Oz is the only one i know that doesn't actually, all the ones i mentioned will work via wifi
I like octrotalk it works with AIM, Yahoo, Google, MSN etc. Its nice and doesn't eat up much resource or power and its FREE.
http://www.octro.com/
Fring!!! i love it! works with all the IM's (and skype)
http://www.fring.com/
yes another instant messenger topic...anyways, palringo is still the best out. i just wish meebo would hurry up and release a version for windows mobile. its stupid when you think about it that they released a version for the ipod touch and iphone, but wont release it for winmo...which still has a HUGE handset market share. yes, i'm still pissed.
wap.whizzper.com
works thru Java, but pretty nice app. doesnt support landscape very well!
Fring Is Awesome
Try fring from fring.com.
Supports voice +chat for the most of the messengers with multiple id support.
Its light weight works over wifi, 3g and GPRS.
Thanks
Pankaj
Fring is nice, but unfortunately it fails on most WM6.1 ROMS. They're aware of it and say they're "working on a solution"
Palringo???
I have the latest version of Plaringo (with the location "feature"), but it only works over wi-fi. What do I need to do to get it to work over t-zones gprs?

It seems you can have audio/video chat with it.
Can you confirm it?

I've noticed that Palringo won't initiate a connection itself for some reason (at least on my ROM), and won't "pick" it if connected after Palringo was launched. I need to do something like check e-mail first so that the phone connects to GPRS, then I can open Palringo and it's OK. But it still disconnects and reconnects once in a while for no reason, and I hate the "close chat" on the right softkey. I happen to hit it by mistake way too often and closing the window when I still have messages to read. Same goes with OK button/the X button, so it's hard to minimize without closing the window (need to either use the red key to go back to Today screen or switch tasks with a task manager).
Jivetalk hands down for me. The only problem with it is that they haven't updated in months which is kind of annoying especially because the program has so much potential.
beejive is the best i've had so far love it use it erryday =] it looks wonderful fast and it has a good interface very smooth
Best Instant Messenger
i would def have to say jivetalk BY FAR. it shows if someone is on mobile. shows full away messages. lets you setup custom away messages. ichat bubbles and sounds. tells you if the person is idle. lets you customize sounds, vibrates,. etc. ONLY thing is it drains out my battery in 3 hrs!
Jivetalk / bejive ftw... Fring is ugly and slow, palringo doesn't support groups (one group for all msn users and all my icq groups)....
and btw. wow, 3 hours o0 my kaiser runs a whole day with bejive logged in.
Slick is the best for me... www.lonelycatgames.com
Hey guys, I made a topic today regarding to my battery life and the raphael. Instant messaging programs like Beejive drain my battery very fast. And the default instant messenger that comes with the phone doesnt really work very well. I am apparently signed in, but dont receive messages.
Anyway , I was wondering if there was any kind of messenger that didnt drain battery and worked. I am a former sidekick LX user, and the one thing i liked about that phone was the messaging capabilities. Even if i lose service, i still got my messages when I got service again, and i am afraid of missing important messages because of not being connected to data at the time i receive them.
Any ideas?
Palringo
I have been using Palringo (http://palringo.com) on my PPC and HTC Tornado smartphone for quite sometime now. Give it a try.
Try palringo. Its nice. Or IM+ is also pretty decent. The best I know....they don't suck the battery life right outta the phone. Beejive is knownn to drain battery life like hell!!
beejive is .net based apps, so it is not too ideal for 'always-on' apps like chat program etc. thats why i dont like .net based apps. it slow, always depends on .net runtimes, suck battery & beejive hv problem with my vga device. Palringo is the best so far
there are already several threads about IM programs, no need to start a new one.
my favorite instant messenger program is Shape Services IM+ Is there any way to get this program cracked for the G1. And will it work with tzone just like the wing
This program is already available on the G1, it is available on the market. It constantly drops connection. At this time there is no real good messenger app for the G1, hopefully Palringo will be releasing theirs soon, it is in Beta right now.

Yea.... well they need to make a jivetalk app for the g1.... I had that on my blackberry.... aned its was the best I'm app I ever had...... hands down!!
if you only use aim/icq "hello aim!" is the best app. i never have any problems with it.
meebo isnt too bad if you use it over wifi, but it keeps disconecting on 3G/edge. but mostly use hello aim...
IM+ is cool. But I think Palringo is gonna be a killer app with its inclusion of LBS.
hi, i've tried em all
meebo
hello aim, msn
nimbuzz,
im+
palringo
none of them cut it
they all have disconnect problems
or they don't have picture sharing
or slow my phone down wayyy too much
or take too long to load from the home screen
which one works for you? and is there a better solution out there?
i don't care if i have to pay, i'm willing to spend whatever as long as it works
i know that beejive on the bb and iphone work wonderfully, but beejive isn't available for the G1
i'm really frustrated the phone has been out for a lng time now and software developers don't care to see the market that they are missing out on by not creating a worthwhile chat app for the android platform
someone please help!
any input suggestions anything!!
btw i've even tried the google chat, aim and msn, using jabber hack/plugin
and it was alright until i started having connection problems with that too and wouldn't sign me on aim anymore
not to mention that msn doesn't work
so anyone?...
1 Word EBuddy...
forgot to include that in my post...
i've tried that too

of coarse its goin to slow your phone down and take long to load...they are freaking multi-chat apps.. its like runnin in the background and signed onto many other IM services.
and they disconnect whenever they are not used or opened in a while most likely
Ebuddy is the best. just terminate background programs that you are not using and you will be good to go, that's what I always do. Also, overclocking to MHz Max MHz lowest is the best config for all chatting platforms, thou it works best on the Ebuddy one..Advance Task Manager should help you with terminating the BG Programs.
Or you can connect through them all via google talk :]
