How many WM6 Roms are out there and which do you like best?

Hi guys,
I was just wondering how many WM6 Roms (editeted or leaked) are out there? Where are the differences between them and which one is the fastest (in you opinion).
If we collect the names of all Roms, we could make a poll and see which one you like best
What do you think?

I am running PDAViet3 right now on both my wizards and it is great. I ran the stock untouched WM6 Rom for a while also with no problems. The PV3 Rom has some nice touches though, working camera, some extra and nice programs.

yeah pdaviet3 rocks dudes!!!
Isnt that 5 versions??
i prefer the clean version and just do the stuff the way i want it
tried pdaviet 3 and 4. the only thing i like is they have a good working camera compare to the one i had to get myself coolcamera program. Anyway if anyone know how to extract the camera app from pdaviet let me know where i can get one.
Plus Microsofts WM6 for the Wizard...... whens someone going to leak that?
The orwell one probably is the Microsoft (current or previous) version of WM6 for the Wizard.

Is it just me...Please Answer this.

I have used 3 different roms and I have overclocked, etc. I had all these great cabs and stuff but when I got finished doing everything I went right back to the same old wm6.... I like it. I do want it to be faster and look better, etc. I guess what I want to know is what do you guys recommend as being the best and necessary cabs to put on the wing. Is it possible only I like wm6....
I think im in the same boat as you. I think the problem for me is that the software is not well integrated into the phone and it just becomes a huge clutter. Granted the cube and the pocketCM is cool but it just gets old..
Compared to this I previously had was the SPB Pocket Plus.
That home software was well integrated and very easy on the eyes.
Also, iv been tired of the bugs that I have with the cooked roms and its driving me nuts. lol No offense to the ROM cookers! Im just too lazy to fix them.
Even with all of the bugs in the ROMs they cook, it still works like 50 times better than the default T-Mobile ROM.
Not only that, the ROMs that are cooked, (and being cooked), are getting better, and well as the battery life too.
The main question you need to ask yourself is: What do you need? Why do you want it?
Do you want your phone to be a showoff? Or do you want some usefull apps?
Main reason that I cook in what I consider useless apps (to me) is that I know other ppl use it, and that the ones using the stuff I dont, start posring why removed that app, I would use your rom if this and that and so on
But I try to keep it to a minumum when cooking a "fully loaded" rom, I could add alot of more stuff, but why?
Im leaning more and more to less is better, but ofcourse, im cooking roms, and its sort off cool to "showoff" to my friends, witch only have nokias and sony ericsson and its like (useless phones )
But its no that cool anymore, my personal rom is quite small and have few apps, only the stuff I use.
cheers
Personally I havent found a rom that Im perfectly happy with. Ive used three of ITJE's roms and theyre great. But after a few days of use I find that things that I use on a daily basis are missing. So my decision was that I should start making my own. I decided that I was going to take the stock tmo, cut it back and add in the things that I want. That way I have the things that I need, more memory for the phone to play with. And the best thing of all is that Im happy.
Yeah I use Itje's roms and they are awesome. But as soon as another lite or superlite version comes out I'm flashing it right away. I like as little as possible on the roms I use so that I can just customize myself.

I would be very interested to know what is in your personal ROM.
I think ITJE's Rom's are great and they basically fulfill my every need.
People are always going to complain about what they want on a rom ..etc.. Sure there are things I'd like taken out of roms and put into roms ...etc... but we aren't in a position to complain when these Roms are being provided to us free of charge after A LOT of hard work by ITJE and other rom cookers....
Everyone needs to Keep in mind, that all this "I want this, I want that" has to be very annoying to the rom cookers when they are donating their time and effort into making the roms... especially ITJE who doesn't even own a Wing .. so he has to put extra effort and time into making Wing roms, because he is unable to test them properly.
I'm interesting in looking into making roms (if I ever find the time) ... but for the moment, we should all just be thankful of what we have, that is FREE

I second that. Well said. And this is coming from a complainer about the missing Internet Sharing feature. I didn't blame ITJE for dropping this from the rom. Just wanted to find out how to put the darn thing back on. If I want it that bad I would just go back to the stock rom. I am still using the Lite rom and loving it. Waiting to put the last one on but you never know when ITJE will surprise us again.
He has enough warnings and caveats so it really is burner beware. You know what you are getting into.

Hey Itje,
Iv used your touchit 2.0 and 2.3 beta! I actually thought the 2.0 was more stable and bug free on my perticular phone. I actually kept 2.0 for a month! llol
Anyways, Is there a ROM which is just bone stock minus the TMOBILE customization? Or really Lite cooked rom? For the Wing ofcourse!
Thanks
I agree I like ITJEs ROMS as well... I think the less is better is more my style I am planning on cooking my own ROM in the near future. I am waiting to learn alot more first though. I don't want to get in over my head... I think that all the extra wares, plus bugs can kinda get to me.

Rom

What is the best rom to have right now. Is having the HTC Home thing considered having a certain ROM? Or is the ROM the whoole thing? im sorry for such childish questions but im really trying to understand the PPC world.

Asking which is the best ROM is kind of like asking which is the best flavor of ice cream. Not sure abot yout HTC Home question. I believe HTC Home is a plug-in featured on the HTC Tytn II. I do not use it because I use SPB Pocket Plus.
My preference on ROMS is clean and simple with speed and stability. I have tried roms from almost everybody, and have found Quentins 1.2 the best for what I am looking for. Just my opinion. I will tell you what everybody else tells you. flash...flash...and reflash and see which one suits your needs best.
ty.. what is the big deal with duttythroy or w.e it is and v3 i dont understand all the cabs and stuff .what does it all mean also what are radios.
lol. You are truly a newb. Don't worry I was there at one time. 2 days later after reading my arse off I flashed my first ROM. Since then I've done 5 tilts. I flashed Schaps 4.31. I'll break it down for you
Chef is the person who make the ROM.
Look through the thread you'll see different ROMs and screenshots.
You have full ROMs-ROMs with added goodies like programs and tweaks
Light ROMs-These ROMs are made to free up device memory
Ultralight ROMs-Everything is stripped. Like stripping a car and you starting all over again to put it back together the way you would like.
Radios enable you to hear sound, make receive phone calls etc.
What sometimes happens is that you flash a ROM to your phone and you get no sound. Reason: Radio is not compatible for the ROM you just installed on your phone. Answer: Flash a compatible ROM.
Hope this breaks the ice.

Thank you very much. My first "flash" i guess u could say was flashing the HTC Home Today Screen and got rid of the at&t bloatware other than that i have not gone farther than that besides little .cabs here and there. So a rom such as duttys dual touch v4 is a "FULL" rom ...
There is so much info out there that is almost daunting - I know, I've been there too! An excellent place to start is bmueller77's brilliant FAQ on ROMs and flashing - should help you hit the ground running!

New User of TYTN 2

Hi guys
tomorrow I will be the proud owner of the HTC TYTN2. Currently I own the N95 8GB and am quite happy with it...hope I will be as well with the HTC
My first aim tomorrow is to flash the new toy with one of the latest cooked roms. I have though 2 questions:
Which one do you think is the best Rom to install ?
What is this radio thing and how would I know what radio to use ?
Thanks to all.
Yikes.......
You need to do some reading...
Start here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369282
read and go out and buy a flamesuit...or read...and read more
Thanks...I already did some readings but since I live in Europe (Malta) I dont know which radio to use with say latest cube from Dutty
well then research around and maybe u'll find someone that is in ur location...or better yet just start flashing COMPATIBLE radios when u get ur phone and see which one is best for u

After you answer his question. I personally like Sense 2.1 build 21XXX because it run smooth on the TP2... so you should go for a rom like that... but if u want extra eye candy... etc etc going with sense 2.5
Thanks BeEazy10.

There is no best rom.
Look, this thread is full of roms, isnt it? So what is the purpous of this thread and for that matter, your question?
Especially when a cook comes and says "Try mine it is the best".
I ought to think that there would be no replys at all but here is my typing in it.
Look arround and take a pick, if you dont like picked rom try another...
That is the all wisdom.
And if you like one sooo much give donation, to XDA or the cook.
Help us help you.
What don't you like about the Stock ROM? The more specific you get answering this, the better we could help you. Otherwise look around and just pick one. It's not like you're going to be stuck with it forever. There are so many to choose from that you'll eventually find "The One" for you.
Happy flashing.
i dont like the stock rom at all. its slow! i think u should be able to customize alitlle bit more with the TF3D. as for the settings not being there to change. haveing to rely on registry edit, like the msg notice deal. n the wifi dont reconnect after cuming back from suspend. it suck pretty much..
im lookin for a rom that fully unlocks the setting, and is stable. and looks half way desent. i was liken the core evo. thats about all that i looked at really.
i just aint tryin to mess up my fone. i guess i can just look around. just tryin to get peeps opinions. yeh if i find a rom that i like i prolly will donate.. u aint gettin my money that eazy. i just got here. havent even found a rom

Well my personal favorite are jackos s2 V1.3 smartmove fast and stable, Core Cell evo for the eye candy, deepshining loaded with nice app and program, and my all time favorite Joshkoss STABLE-FAST-PROFESSIONAL
thanks man. im gonna try em
jackos s2 V1.3 is the fastest/ bugfree too me. im using full, but from what i read all versions are good depending on what your looking for. There isnt a new version every two weeks or so like other roms which shows how stable his roms are imo.
fyi:you're going need the keyboard fix cab for the tilt2.
How did you put hardspl on your st7377? I for some reason can't. It just won't work for me :/
Have to say, STABLE, FAST, PROFESSIONAL (Josh's ROM) has been the fastest, most stable ROM I've used so far...
