HTC Home Photo Contact tab - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi,
Anyone know any good TODAY's plugin that has the same functionality like the HTC Home Photo Contact tab?
You know, just a today's plugin that can display photo from the contact list.
Tab the photo to make a call.
Thanks.

SPB Phone Suite (paid), SBSH Phone Weaver (I think... am using SPB), Photo Contacts Pro...
there are quite a few around. Poke a bit.

PhoneWeaver doesn't have a photo dialer.

Best calendar and phone manager application

Hi to all.
I am a new owner of a TyTN II and former owner of 9090 and S710. I would like which is the best calendar and phone manager (missed calls) application?
I don't know about phone manager, but as concerns calendar application, I think that SPB diary is probably the best....
I go with Spb Diary and Spb Phone Suite......
I use Agenda One. For me the best, Great piece of software !
maybe he means phone explorer ( phone manager )
if that is what it means so you have only one choice
resco explorer
I'll throw in the combo I like:
PocketInformant
http://www.pocketinformant.com/?p_id=pocketinformant
SBSH PhoneWeaver
http://www.sbsh.net/product.php?id=28
SBSH PocketBreeze

Total Commander is a good free alternative for file managing
For calendar, Calendar+ is my preferred Today plugin. I bought pocketbreeze (which is similar to SPB Diary I think) when it was on special offer, but in the end I found I preferred Calendar+. I also tried TodayAgenda and, while it was good, it didn't suit me.
For missed call notifications (which seems to be missing in WM6), you might want to consider PhoneAlarm and SPB Phone Suite.

I've tried both SPB Diary and Pocket Informant. I think the second one is definately more customizable but I don't like the today screen that much and i have some problems with the GREEK language. I like the spb diary today plugin but it doesn't have links for emails and phone numbers on the appointments, so that I can call someone easily. Also when you open the appointment if the title is long you have to scroll with the arrows.. Is there a program that can combine these? I will give Agenda One a try!!
I am testing Agenda One now. It is probably the most useful application available.
I tried Agenda One, but found that it didn't have all of the features I wanted. Agenda Fusion is similar to Agenda One, but has more capabilities. Agenda Fusion is working great for me.
Oooops! I somehow double-posted.
Just curious. What do all these 3rd party calendar software have that Outlook doesn't. I've tried a few, and have always gone back to Outlook. It's nice and simple to use.
I dont call thumbcal the best , but as of now its suit my need. Very simple and finger friendly = what I want from a calendar.

I'm using this exact same set of S/W. Working well for me. PocketInformant has many better calendar views than PocketOutlook. PocketBreeze gives me flexible ways to put my calendar on my homescreen. If you go to a lot of meetings (and/or use Outlook to keep your personal calendar too) these types of views are very helpful.
Hello,
I've just tried Pocket Informant, which is very great, but it seems to not fit my necessity as I was expecting. It has "all" but what I need.
I simply need to set my "class" timetable for university. I don't want to use Excel or something similar. I thought something like pocket informant was the best one to do that, but it seems a little bit complicate. It also maybe I'm not able to use PI very well.
I also want to not use PI to view my contacts. Is there some place where I can select what PI should manage and what not? For example, I don't want Activities to be managed by PI. What to do?
Thanks a lot.
Call Calendar
One of the best ones I use, It logs all calls into your phones calendar, then will put it onto your outlook or exchange server as a private appointment.

Pocket Informant (the newest one) has settings called 'Roles' under which you can choose whether PI is the default app for calendar / tasks / contacts
Thanks a lot aberz! I'll try it as soon as possible!
EDIT: I've just tried it. That's really cool! Thank you!
...
Thank you rabdo, I'm going to look for that "role"... I hope to find it!! There are a lot of possible settings !!!
EDIT: I found it. It works very well now.
Bye!
I love Pocket Breezer, I've always used PB since I had MDA Vario and now I've got MDA Vario III but still using PB.

best contact manager program?

I'm looking for a good contacts manager. Something that is easy to use, esp with the finger. What are some of the more popular ones?
I'm currently using icontact and find it not exact enough (the letters are too small for my finger)
Thanks
pocketcm, fff

Yes, as both sad! Its a must have. In car or on the move, makes it wery easy to find a contact for so call or send a sms (hell, even youre actual gps position).
http://www.jotto.no/fff/
Im using Vito Fun Contact.
It's perfect!
you could also look at Icontact, easy to use, even when driving....
i tired all and finally found that Inesoft Address Book 3 as the best one.
- Big keys, easy to search , good easy acess buttons, ringtone selector and profile setting, option for full screen caller id and so on...
Very stable.
Go for it and u wont repent
iContact 0.6. Very light and fast on your system and professional looking. Best of all, its free!
I second. iContact 0.6 is the best.
I've been using: Vito Fun Contact, Inesoft Address Book, Finger Friendly Friends, Pocket CM, photo contacts and still like iContacts more. My second favorite is FFF, but it's not free.
i prefer fun contact, most finger friendly for me. only thing i don't like is the loadtime with the stupid splash screen i already know it works with all languages i don't need to be reminded every time i want to call someone.
Guys is there an app that will allow you to manage your contacts from your PC?
I find it a lot easier to mess about with details on the PC than on the PDA......I've already found Dashwire but is there something else out there?
Thanks
You can manage your Contacts in Microsoft Outlook, and then just synchronize your phone with computer.
Finger Friendly Friends is what i am currently using and its great. iContact is very neat too...
I contact 0.6 is great, as it seems that its faster than Icontact 0.73 and when u close it, it closes, unlike 0.73 which you have to close from task manager.
Give it a try
I vote pocketCM - it's brilliant. With the MH-HTC v2.3 theme it looks the nads too
FFF by far
iconntact is not like the iphones contact thing at all...it has a blackbackround where the iphones is what and much easier to see..but the finger scrolling on it is very good...what is the newest version of icontacts , and is there a white version of it?

Its not like Iphone thingy, as far I know It only comes in black.icontacts new version is 0.73, but its slower than 0.60. and its got no close button. In fact they released 0.71 which had no keyboard to jump at contacts, but with 0.73 which was released within days after 0.71, they got keyboard back, but still no X.
iContact all the way

Looking for good Calendar Program

Hello, I have a Kaiser and I have come to the conclusion that the Calendar on it sucks. I've been looking around for a Calendar application that works with Google Calendar, I tried Pocket Informant, which was perfect, except it doesn't work with Google Calendar.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any program I could try?
ThumbCal v1.3.5
Yupp, Thumbcal is the ****...
thank you. I was using Pocket Informant, but Thumbcal seems better, less fiddly. I was also using Oggsync to get my google calendar information from google onto the Thumbcal, but i've just found this:
http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138636&ctx=sibling
which allows me to do what seems to be exactly the same thing, except 30 euro's cheaper. Now I just have to "buy" Thumbcal.
I've been using Pocket Informant, but trying out ThumbCal since it looks pretty neat. How does one set a category when creating an appointment? I can't seem to find it.
And can't find a manual for the program either. It's pretty simple, but it could have 'hidden' features, or explanation for some items.
I use Manilla in my kaiser, so when i open calendar in the home tab it still opens the old wm calendar. does anybody knows how to change it into the main one ?

Depends what app using but i use SBSH Calendar Touch and have hooked into M2D with the bellow info.

The only problem with Google's own syncing program, is that it will not handle multiple calendars. :-( They acknowledge this as an issue and have offered no intention to change it.
I happen to like the stock outlook calendar, I just wish you could do colors for categories.

A good replacement for iContact?

The default contacts screen on the Fuze is "ok", but just not iContact. I did install iContact, but it displays VERY tiny contacts. Is there a good replacement out there? What I really liked was the pop out alpha pad as opposed to the alphabet down the side.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Helps to know what version of iContact you used.
I haven't had any issues with "tiny" contacts when using iContact.
Are you using the original, Avian, trubert, or Supbro?

Agreed. iContact is great aside from MINOR nitpicks
hey all~
two other free contact managers come to my mind....
1.pocket contact manager (they also have a touch screen keyboard)
2. yota contact manager
for either one of them make sure you get the vga version (as opposed to qvga or wvga)
i prefer yota as it seems to run smoother and with pcm, after u make a call or check a number it didn't usually fully close. it kept running inthe background and before i could reopen it i'd have to force it to close via the task manager (with a confirmation prompt)

!! Any organizing apps for students?

Hey Guys!!
I was wondering if there is a Windows Mobile application that adds tasks to the calender where you can write all your work (homework as example) down to do.
Also is there another application to organize all of your classes? Thanks!
Built-in, there is:
Tasks
Calendar
OneNote Mobile
and the Notes application allows drawing, typing and audio recording in the same document. So there are several good choices before you have to spend money.

I would love that the answer to this is yes as well, but I do not think so...
^^^ I don't use TF3D so I couldn't give you the answer. I thought you still had access to the standard WM today panel when the TF3D Panel was installed ?
sadly im using a custom rom. thanks any folks!
