Is it possible to set the pda to just display Contact list from the phone memory or SIM card only? How if that is possible? Thanks.

If you want to see only SIM contacts... well, AFAIK you would have to delete your contacts
Normally you can see all of the contacts. What you can is to filter out SIM contacts:

"ShowSIM"=dword:1 -> 0 to disable, 1 to enable.

Hi dude,
You can use this little but useful app, KaiserTweakwhich easely manages different registry keys! There is one tweak that allow you to show or hide the contacts stored on your SIM card, too!

Why don't you sync to Outlook and delete everything from Outlook? That way all your contacts on the phone gets deleted and the only thing visible would be SIM contacts.
Go to programs > system Tools > Advanced Config and scroll down to phone. Choose Show Sim contacts and change the value at the bottom to NO.

Please read before posting. OP wants to only show SIM contacts.

Is this something that is only available in Dutty's ROM or should I see this on my Tilt with the standard ROM I purchased the device with? I would love to be able to turn off the SIM view if I could. Considering flashing the ROM, but not sure I want to jump in yet (I'm no techie!).

No there is the KAisersimfix.cab, the program just mentioned above and the Kaisertweak. All of which is searchable.

i know, stupid question but i really don't know what to do. the thing is all my contacts on my sim card i've copy to the "my contacts" in my device. the thing is now everytime i go to my contact list i see doubled of every single contact on my list. i know there is a way to filter but it is not permanat. so i was wondering is there a way to view only "my contacts" without viewing the sim's contact on the same list permanatly?
Use the search. There's plenty of reading of this problem

ahh but it should work.. however whenever i press on Sim Manager.. it just doesnt do anything so i cant get to any of my contacts.. i just updated my ROM so that could be the issue?

U need to have the contact on the phone, edit it, and there is a option to give a ringtone to that contact. If u want to assign tone to a group, u need some 3rd party software.

Use the goddamn search button.
Get Kaisertweak (search in this forum) and there is an option to disable SIM contacts.
Hello all,
When I am typing a contact name while writing a new text message,
it has somekind of auto-complete and it shows me contacts to select in order to send the message to.
I did the tweak which hides SIM contacts when navigating through poutlook but they are still there in the new text message interface.
Is there a way to not show SIM contacts in text message and emails too?
(I dont want to erase my SIM card).

no it doesnt.
the fiture of 'show sim contacts' under 'phone' is set to 'NO'.
I dont see any sim contacts in poutlook but the auto-complete in the sms section still uses contacts from sim.
maybe there is another tweak..
i have the same problem. Also, contacts retrieval only works when using T9 as input (no suggestion/search for contacts when u use any of the querty keyboards with T9 disabled)
