Change rotate screen? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I put the rotate screen in my launcher so I can goto landscape without opening the keyboard for GPS, pics, etc. It rotates the screen 90 degrees right when holding the device upright making it upside down to the keyboard. How can I make it rotate the other way so I can access the keyboard if I want without rotating the device 180 degrees?

first go in settings/screen and set it to the landscape mode you want, then exit, get back in there and set it portrait. this way it remembers the landscape mode you want and when calling rotate screen it will rotate ok
GL&HF

I tried that just now and it still reverts to "Left-Handed" mode when I click rotate screen.

i think the rotate program you use tells the kaiser the landscape mode to use.
try to assign rotate to a hardware button(the default rotate in WM), and that should work (i use hold voice button)

Rotate screen options

I have the T-Mobile Vario III version of the Kaiser.
When I flip up the screen it rotates to landscape with the thumbpad to the left the way I'd like it to. If I press the rotate option available in the in application launcher, it rotates the opposite way.
Is it possible to make it rotate the same way as when it is flipped open?
I tried options for left and right handed use but it never rotated correctly.

Landscape issues with Windows Mobile 6.1

There seem to be issues with Windows Mobile 6.1 and Landscape.
If you switch the display to landscape, and reboot the phone, it will change back to portrait.
If you press the missed calls button in HTC Home while in landscape, it will switch back to portrait.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Alright, I fixed the missed calls issue with a new dialer, but the phone still consistantly boots into Portrait.
i'm not too sure but i would assume u have a kaiser...and when u say it boots into portrait i assume its a soft reset or a power on...and i assume that when you're in landscape mode u have the hardware keyboard slid out...if it boots to portrait...cant u just slide in n out the keyboard to have it go back to landscape?
Sure, when I slide out the keyboard, it goes into landscape. However, when I close it again, it goes back into portrait.
If, after the phone has booted, I go into Screen options and change it back to Landscape, it will stay in landscape regardless of what I do.
When I soft-reset, it goes back into portrait. If they keyboard is open, it will start in portrait, then shift into landscape. Upon closing the keyboard, it's back to portrait.
This is the default behavior for HTC devices. My Wizard did this just like my Tilt. I would suspect the cause is because when you slide out the hardware keyboard, a sensor activates a service running in the WM subsystem that tells WM to rotate the screen.
However, if you actually go into the screen options and change the default screen orientation to landscape, the registry is updated to reflect landscape as the new default orientation.

So yeah, done that.
Windows Mobile 6.0 did not have this problem. If you set it to Landscape in screen options, and rebooted, it would stay in landscape. This issue with it always booting in portrait is new in 6.1.
Same problem here.. anybody found any solution? Thanks.

screen orienation is messed up

my fone is broke and is always stuck in the landscape mode... is theer any "home" app that uses auto rotate that will make my phone able to switch to portrait depending on whihc way it is sitting?
If your on cupcake there should be an option in settings if not try Open Home?

How to rotate 90 deg. (clock wise)

Pl. help how to rotate 90 deg. (clock wise)
do you mean to rotate in each 90° step (not just portrait and landscape, but also the other two remaining sides)?
I think he means can you get the Hero to go to landscape mode by turning it clockwise from portrait mode.
As far as I can tell, this isn't possible. It only switches to landscape when rotate it anti-clockwise from portrait view
I've wanted to do this few times, but as mentioned, there are only two modes for rotation, not four. If I would be left-handed I might be seriously bothered, but for right-handed it feels comfortable to operate the buttons with right thumb.
Not that you need the buttons _that_ much, mainly just back button when using browser in landscape mode.
I was thinking about what it's like for lefties earlier today and I'm not sure it's that bad (please correct me if I'm wrong!). At least they would be able to use the device in their left hand in portrait mode and be able to press the Back button without getting cramp!
Well... there's apps that will let you rotate the app in all four sides... for example Bubble http://www.cyrket.com/package/bz.ktk.bubble will switch the view 180 if you put the phone upside down... so it's up to the developers to program it.

landscape mode by default?

I want to use the phone mainly in landscape mode for a change. Is there any means to set it by default? That means, that it has to stay in landscape when I close a game, for instance, and when I slide back the keyboard (atm it turns portrait in both cases).
It was discussed several times, AFAIK there is no solution.
shame.. thanks for your answer.
Just assign a hw key to rotate the screen so you can force the phone to landscape whenever it goes to portrait.
True, it's not what you wanted, but it's the closest thing we got.
