I have a bluetooth headset already. I just forget to charge it half the time and was looking for good usb headphones, any suggestions?

Will those work?
Try Clove technology
3.5mm Handsfree Adapter with Mic therefore you can use your own headphones..! £9.40 including VAT

I found some those in the states. Are they all compatible? Do I need to buy the ones for htc or will any 11pin usb to 3.5 headset adapter with mic work?
Hi!
I got that one from Clove and it works perfectly with my Kaiser!
Ofiaich
i know but I am in the states, thats site is for UK.
I picked up HTC's wired remote and use it with my Shure headphones. And when I manage to break those headphones, the remote will work with the replacements. I like being able to kick-off and control the playback without actually touching the phone...
nice, i like those, thanks for the link
I got this one and it works great for the price.
I bought a cheap generic 11-pin mini-usb to 3.5mm adapter from ebay and they work a treat. I'm only using it with normal headphones, though, i haven't tried ones with a mic.

Has anybody found an adaptor to attach normal stereo headphones or other headphones that will work with the XDA apart from those that come with it?

I got an adapter from expansys.com. It works great with my headset, About £10 I think.
Hi Folks,
I got a headphone adapter for my phone because I wanted to use it as an MP3 player which works extremely well... until I receive a call. At which point the microphone inside the phone seems to be disabled so the person at the other side can't hear me. I assume this is because it thinks the headphones are a proper headset (inc mic) and that the sound should be coming from there!
I looked into writing an android app to fix this, but it seems the SDK doesn't let you mix and match microphone and sound sources (unless I missed something), so I am currently looking for a headset which:
1. Has in ear buds (my work colleagues don't care much for very loud Nevermore)
2. Has a microphone built in
I have been looking for hours now but pretty much every one I can find is identical to the one which came with the phone which has pretty crap sound for music, and doesn't stay in my ears! I would go for bluetooth but I hear the sound quality from music for those is terrible and they're very expensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Goggle or eBay "HTC HS U110". I got one from eBay for 9 bucks plus shipping and they work just fine. I'm using Shure SE210 with the cord that has the microphone so I can't comment on the stock earbud quality.
Are there any places that sell just a simple mini-usb adapter <-> 3.5mm with a built-in microphone for cheaper than the ~$13 for the full HTC HS U110 kit from ebay?
I know that you can find these adapters for the iphone for a couple of bucks apiece (for the defective headphone jack). I'd like to be able to buy a bunch for my MT3G and leave them lying around wherever I might need one.

Try browsing around amazon.com
I bought the oem htc 3-in-1 adapter for $3 from one of the retailers on amazon. I don't think that one has a mic built in, but has a 3.5mm and 2.5mm jacks that i believe support headphones/sets with built in mics. You might be able find the basic miniusb->3.5mm jack and mic hole (like the one that comes with the mt3g) as well..

The HTC 3-in-one adapter was halfway broken with cupcake, and almost completely useless with donut, unfortunately. There was the toggleheadset.apk utility as a workaround, but it no longer works. I'll probably just buy a bunch of the 3.5mm adapters with no microphone from ebay; they're available for <$2 each including shipping.
I can confirm that the 3.5mm jack on the 3in1 adapter will not work on the MT3G. Although the mini usb works if you use the HTC headphones. I also tried the HTC two way thing and it didn't work either. fyi the htc headphones that came with the Tmobile Dash have a high quality sound, better than the ones that came with the MT3G and my 09 shadow, those are just crap.
I use the 3in1 adapter in my car every day to charge and listen to music on my car stereo via the 3.5mm jack, and I have a MT3G. Maybe its something in cyanogen's rom.. I think I remember reading something about that somewhere?
It would be nice to find adapters with the mic built in, I have the one that came with the phone that I use with some sony in-ears I bought, but it would be nice to have extras.
anyon tried the Seido adapter?
Just to follow up on this thread, has anyone tried the Seido adapter that also has a microphone? See this link http://www.androidians.com/seidio-mini-usb-to-35mm-adapter/11A75A2812.htm
Thanks

Perhaps you could give this a try: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.29856
I've been dealing with the same problem and just ordered one of these too.
The only thing that I'm worried about is that the cord might be a bit long, but i can always shorten that if it's annoying.
headphone adaptor
How do you like the product? Am thinking about getting one.
Skip the adaptor stuff
and go Bluetooth. I bought this a couple of weeks back
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-S...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1264584185&sr=8-3
pretty decent sound quality, controls for skip forward, back, vol +, vol- and play/pause. has a built in mic for calls (pauses music when your phone rings, answer and hang up with the play/pause button) and about 2 seconds to pair it up.
won't work with hero roms obviously, but cheap as chips and I'm sure they do it in the US too.
I'm just looking for a good pair of in-ear buds for the Magic that has controls for pause/play/skip like the stock headsets. Any suggestions?
I bought one off ebay from bestcellbuy: http://myworld.ebay.ca/bestcellbuy/
HTC Touch Pro Multifunction Adapter Audio Cable YC A300
Cost me $5 shipped
Now I don't have first hand experience with it. But my cousin is using it on a Sense UI 32A Magic and he says it works out of the box. Not sure if he is using the toggle app
Charges too.
I have also tried the DX one and the build quality of that was so bad that it never played music through both buds at the same time.
Not sure what you can get for skip and play functions unfortunately.
I got one of the 3 in 1 adapters from eBay for around $4-5 and the 3.5mm headphone jack works out of the box with my 32A (running CM atm)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330350652982&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
here ya go mate. this works like a charm. it has 2.5mm headset jack, 3.5mm, usb headset, and a secondary usb port for charging WHILE blasting music. plus its HTC branded and cheap as hell. took about 3 days to ship from Connecticut to Texas.
I like to use my own headphones whatever phone i get, i see there is not much mention of handsfree headphone adapters with a mic mentioned.
Looking on ebay i have found Nokia AD-54 handsfree new quite cheap, will report back what i find.
I have a cheap generic adapter that I bought on eBay that works fine. Look for ones that say they work with the iPhone. Like this one.
There are also a couple of bluetooth adapters that will use your headphones. The Jabra 3030 and Sony Ericsson MW600 are two that I know of.

Bluetooth is great, but its a battery drain, as there is a 3.5mm jack already avaliable i would rather use that, also i have heard many iphone type 3.5mm adapters don't seem to have a working mic with the streak.
You have to make sure that they are TRRS not TRS, 4 rings not three and that they include the mic.
As I wrote, I have one that is like the one I linked to and it works fine. YMMV
I have eventually settled on the Griffin Smarttalk, can be got on ebay for £3 and seems really nice quality.
Has anyone used some type of USB-C->3.5mm adapter to route audio out with any luck? I'm looking to use my current my wired headphones and my car stereo aux port. I know old lol. My wireless BeatsX suck, they dont get loud at all. The wired Beats I got 6 years ago blows these POS of earbuds out of the water. Looking for any suggestions on an adapter and any special config required in android. Currently running rooted stock. Thanks.
UPDATE - I found a great adapter that works with my car aux port with no problems. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BTVQ8YC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Great quality, good price... $9.99
Currently I am using adapter from Xiaomi MiA2, works perfectly with aux in my car and wired JBL headphones. This adapter looks and feels cheap but works really well. I think every adapter should work, just buy generic one

I use Hidizs Sonata 2.
One of the best for quality at reasonable price.

Thanks everyone for the reply!!
Just so you know more: every adapter should work indeed.
But these adapters contain DAC (digital to analogic converter), in order to receive sound through USB and sending it through good old analogic 3.5mm. The quality of these DAC can really have a difference in sound quality. Not on standard car environment, sure, but for someone with good earphones it is worthwhile to search for a little quality for these adapters.

The OEM adapter does not have a DAC. It doesn't need one because it's correctly wired to work with the USB audio out on the OnePlus devices. So if you use this one, you're actually using the DAC in the phone itself.
I've got the Apple one (the only apple product own!)
According to head-fi (an audiphoile forum) it's one of the best that doesn;t cost a fortune.

Actually it sucks (at least for the OnePlus 7T), I got one too and I regret, the sound volume is really bad with the apple adapter because it wasn't made for Android phones at all of course.
I went to a miniso store and got one adapter there and is 5x times better than the Apple one, and cost 3x less. xd
Any splitter for simultaneous 3.5mm & charging which supports fast charging?
I've seen some videos on YouTube, but doesn't seem like supporting fast charging. We've real USB3.1, there should be something out there.
I'll receive an Audio Technica headphone this week. Could someone please tell which adapter will work best for our 7t?

OEM one.
I bought the one for the Pixel straight from Google. You'll pay for the privilege, but it works well

Do you think the OEM adapter is the best available (at a reasonable price)? I'm thinking if getting it.

I tried one (from Ali Express). It is unusable while charging as I started hearing motor sound after one minute of usage. Unplug and plug that back in, again same issue in a minute. None of such adapters support fast charging as far as I know.
Will it make any difference if I go for Samsung's adapter instead of OnePlus's? (other than price
Got the cheapeast £1.99(ish) wire adapters (USB c to 3.5mm) from eBay and they work well

Reviews of it in Samsung's website are not that favorable.

I tried the samsung adapter from my tablet S5e, and it didn't work on the 7T
For those of you out there that bought this tablet that were a little disappointed like my self that it did not come with the headphone jack, i found a working solution. I went to my local best buy store here in the USA and bought a Belkin made adapter. The descritpion on the bottom of the front of the box is - 3.5MM audio+USB-C charge adapter. Model:F7U080BTBLK SKU:6370541. It is rated up to 36W. So it is perfect for the tablet since it only charges at 18W. I can confirm that it works as advertised. With taxes, in California, it came to $32.36USD. So not too expensive. Here is a pic of the box it came in https://i.imgur.com/M8Rxe2l.jpg
