Use a reg editor search for what he wrote, and there should be a key for enabled, change it from 1 (on) to 0 (off). Simple
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation
There you go.

Doug,
Thanks a bunch for this tip! I was wondering the other day if it was possible to silence that annoying sound. Much appreciated!
Thanks.
Didn't someone make a thread... and a MOD made it a STICKY just for ATT TILT NEWBIES? I know pressing a search button and typing a key word into a box is difficult, but there is also a sticky just FOR YOU.
I think you should have to take some type of IQ test before having a TILT.
(This is actually more of a universal question, but...) How do I disable the annoying ass AT&T animation at startup?
You need a mobile registry editor to do this:
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation
just set the "enabled" value to 0 and that will get rid of THE most annoying startup animation/sound ever (thanks to myself)

May not be my place...
Some of you are a bit harsh. This is a forum and it is here for a purpose; supposedly for seeking help.
Thanks Doug - I didn't know about that tweak either.
For those who use KaiserTweak you can add this to your XML file instead of using a registry editor:
<tweak>
<title>ATT Startup Animation</title>
<value disabled="disabled" advised="advised" value="0">Disabled</value>
<value default="default" value="1">Enabled</value>
<key>HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Enabled</key>
<description>Enable or disable the ATT startup animation.</description>
</tweak>

Hi guys,
I'm trying to turn off the text message sent notication on the Orange version of a TytnII.
I done a forum seach and came up with the registry key below. I can find HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\ but then theres no Settings file.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMs g
Just use KaiserTweak, there's an option to enable/disable this notification if I'm not mistaken.

Yes you have to add the key...
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMsg DWORD 1 (dec)
You are confused because you thought it should me in \Svc\SMS\ ??
It is a notification command to the messaging app, not just a specific SMS service command.
EDIT.. WEIRD, I can't remove the gap in the above SMSNoSentMsg
if anyone could post the cab that solves the slow text messaging...

Slow text messaging?
You mean there's a way to up the speed?
I just though that was one of the graphical issues that would be fixed if proper drivers were implemented.
disable xt9
Disable auto-correct and word suggestion also.
yep i disabled it already...
but there used to be a cab that fixed this problem perfectly..?

Remove xT9 as per other users suggestions and then install this file here.

Scroll down until you see the CAB file I posted. This works great on the HTC and is also made by HTC anyway and is not slow.

Thanks for your help.
Does anyone know how i can enable haptic / vibration feedback for virtual keys while SMS or Email?
TIA!
up? is possible?
I don't think it is possible. Haptic was included in test versions of the Diamond but poor user receptiveness meant that it was taken out of the final build. I've had a dig in the registry and can't find anything that hints it's still there but you never know there are some clever people here!
I have haptic feedback in the dialer dialpad. It works great
@mooooooa
what are the steps in order to get that?

I second that!
For the dialpad, it should be the same reg edits as for any WM5/6 phone. Do a search for DTMF or VIBRATE in the Kaiser forum, and you'll find it.
I have a feeling he's using a 3rd party app...

I tried this and find the vibrate to be too strong. Instead, does anyone know how to enable the feedback which happens in Teeter, the 'bump' you feel when the ball hits an object?
DT
@daren1
v0.15w0.15v0.15w0.15.
vibrate for 0.15s, wait for 0.15s, vibrate for 0.15s, wait for 0.15s.
replacing *vibrate* with combination as per above. soft reset might be required.
not sure if that one works. should provide softer vibration if works.

This did not work. After modifying the registry as you directed, there was no vibration at all. If you have any other suggestions, let me know and I will give it a try.
Thanks for your time.

I believe it doesn't install any files, it's just a reg tweak, so the only way to "uninstall" is to return these registry keys back to their default values. You might wanna do a search in the kaiser forum, but I'm not sure of that.

You can change them back without manually editting the registry. Just go to Start > Settings > Phone, and change the Kepyad tones to 'None', press OK, then reselect your preferred (None, Long or Short)
Hope this helps
