Use my KaiserSimFix.cab.
I should probably update it to be more user friendly since I wrote it waay back when I didn't understand windows mobile that well.

it's in there however, it even states in the description that the sim contacts will show once device is restarted =/
i believe....
all you need to do is put a program in the startup folder that re-applys the registery tweak every time...
is that what your 'fix cab' does there?
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone]
"ShowSim"=dword:00000000

Securety pin while using Tomtom

Hi does someone has a solution for the follwing?
I use my Kaiser with Exchange server 2003 and direct push.
Because of that, i have to use the securety pin code on my Kaiser.
When i am using Tomtom now, every 15mins the enter pin screen pops up, and i have to enter my pincode in order to resume navigation...
Is there a way around this???
hi, to deactivate the pin code make the following:
change the registry key
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\"00001023“
from "0" to "1".
it should work now.
Thanks

Softbank X04HT nag screen after removing sim lock

Hello everyone,
I just used Olipro's software to unlock my X04HT. But I couldnt remove the nag screen (Asking you to put a valid sim-card...) when I use another non-Softbank sim card. According to Olipro, there is something to do with my Softbank's software...
I also tried to use the software SB_USIM.cab but it doesnt work neither.
Any people have idea of what SB_USIM.cab does so that I can manually remove the nag screen by myself? (if its easy to do so)
PS: Is there a link/page included a list of JAPANESE ROMs (for diamond) which I can choose to download in this forum?

Which Anti theft programme?

Can you guys recommend a theft alert style prog for the X1.
So far i have heard of
Ultimate Theft Alert v3
MASPware GuardMobile
Where Is My Phone
Smart Protect
What's the best, what are the things to look for?
Thanks
thanks for posting..i was also looking for a programme..the phone costs as much as my laptop..and if i lose it i am gonna regret it.
samsung phones have inbuilt softwares..not sure of SE though.
there was a free anti-theft programme also.
SmartProtect is also an option
Smartphonetracker is free and works exactly like WIMP (Where Is My Phone).

Hm, I read the program documentation but there is a thing that makes the program absolutely useless:
Send SMS with a predefine code to the lost/stolen phone or your family member that have SmartphoneTracker installed.

If someone steals my phone, the first thing he would do is to switch it off and exchange the sim card. So how should I send a SMS to the phone to wake up the program when my SIM-card with my phone number isn't in the phone anymore?
Such a Anti-Theft-Program need to send the location to a predefined Mail-Account when the SIM-Card has been changed. The program has to recognize that the SIM isn't the same and then start itself on Windows startup as soon as possible so that it cannot be closed before it can send the mail.
Anything else makes such a program useless in my opinion.

Notify on sim change... It's in the settings.
This means your phone with the new simcard will send a sms or email to a predefined number (not your own number but maybe your brothers phone or someone else you can trust) as soon as it detects a new sim inserted. voila and you have the thiefs phonenumber.
I have tested the feature and it works very well...
Maybe you didn't read about all the features?

I guess, this could be the case
So I stand corrected, thank you very much for this information. I think I should give the program a try then

You do that. I think you'll like it.
I'm using MASPware GuardMobile, works fine and a lot of options. Smart proctect seems very good to me too, and it's free. Maybe I'll give it a try after a hard reset
i am searching a antitheft program, that is invisible implemented/implementable
into the ROM (completely configured).
for hardreset resistance. a spezial version of hardspl could be a good way.
so the theft protection is resistand for firmwareupdates by the theft.
hardspl once installed, could give out a unique secret key.
without this key no hardspl remove/update is possible. and the protection is not easy removable.hardspl handles all flash requests and without key....
only with commands to read/write directly to FLASH, the last chance to remove it.
and thats not easy for NOOB´s
what are your settings for Smartphone Tracker? i installed it an replaced the simcard but until now i havent received an email oder sms. it doesnt seem to work on the xperia? anyone has ideas?

1. you must have a working email account installed into the xperia.
This account (marked with a red box) will be used for sending the stealth-mail to your destination account.
2. The destination account should not be installed on the phone as the thief would also get the stealth-mail.
3. Setup your options in the settings view (see attached pictures)
4. press Send now in the menu if you want to tryout your settings.
It's recommended to have satellite sync while testing this.
5. Save changes and exit the application.
I'm having some trouble with smartphone tracker on my X1. When I send an sms containing my passphrase the X1 phone displays the text as a new unread message. Also the phone doesn't send any mail to my configured receiver. And yes, I've chosen a working mail account, it works when pressing "send now..." from within smartphone tracker.
Also the incoming text message displays as a new unread message, it's not suppose to do that right?
I get the feeling that Smartphone tracker doesn't catch incoming text messages. What's your experiences?

And what about the Micro-SD flash method?
I also will have an unflash-able, own developed rom with my own security build in. But i'm in the learning position .
WIMP (Where Is My Phone) works perfect for my . I can upload the cab and the keygen if you want.

A Lock/Unlock ??

Hi all I am new here due to first time with such an advanced function phone.
I have done a search in this forum ( Topaz only ) and came up nothing with quite the same problem I am having
I have a TD2/Topaz
I have lock unlock problem which I can seem to work out.
In Start/Settings/All Settings/Personal-Tab/lock
I utilised it to lock using a password, the phone is asking for the password every 30 seconds ( if unused ) even after entering the password.
Dose any body know how I can turn lock off ??
cheers in advance

The same way as it was locked. But don't have phone in hands right now,but try to go to the power settings and there should be an option "ask code on wake up" or something simmilar...
go to same place that you set lock, remove the tick of "Prompt if device unused for" and click "ok"

When i went back to Lock, I could not find my way back to that screen where you tick and make your password, ounce I had made the password I could not find my way back to this screen what do I press to get back to that screen.
Sorry for newbie type ??
cheers
Just to confirm that prridge is right... access to lock settings are curiously removed once lock is set. I think a hard reset is the way to go or you could also try 3rd party software.
Naughty WinMo 6.1
EDIT Ok this is weird: I pulled the stylus out as I was unlocking immediately after setting "lock" in "personal settings" and suddenly the settings appeared for the first time allowing changes... bizarre but true
Tony
Sorry folks, but seems lot of people do not even try to read out device manual.
http://www.htc.com/europe/faq_detail.aspx?p_id=249&act=um
According this thread, there are no problem to turn off Lock option or to change Lock time.
Take Start > Settings > All settings ... Personal tab ... Lock
