Can not update from 4.0 to 4.1.0
Any hint?
Because it's a custom ROM. Maps have been tampered with so that Nav can work outside the US. So the upgrade cannot authenticate the version you currently use and make the install fail.
Just installed "3pei's DroidSense v0.2" on my magic.

I could install google maps 4.0.1 without any problem.
I managed to download it and install it on SuperHero v1.5. You just need to uninstall the old Google maps and download the new one. If you don't after the download it will fail at installation.
i download and install ok on my mytouch 3g. It's work Great.
there is 4.1.0 available in Market (europe) today with line in changelog
- navigation (BETA)

Installation fail
hi,
I tried to install directly with google maps 4.0.0 and failure has given me (I have version RAv1.6.3G)
I tried to uninstall google maps but only lets me remove the updates, not the application. Even so I tried to download version 4.1.0 of the Market but fail.
Does anyone have a link to the Google Maps 4.1.0 apk unsigned?
thanks!
remove google apps with ADB - search
thanks dk75,
I can finally uninstall google maps, so I can install the latest version of the market.
now the problem is that, being the original version, I no longer have the option to "navigate".
I'll wait to see if they have the unlocked version soon.
thanks.
what is strange Google did two 4.1.0 realases in 2 day - 4124 and 4126 and booth is called 4.1.0 in Market but when in notification 4126 was called 4.2.0 and that version did reboot to my phone durring update (and it was report earlier that it do that at the forum)
So again Google couldn't provide proper realase for it's application - lame.
The rebooting happened to me too. I also wondered about there being an update from 4.1.0 to 4.1.0.
Didn't notice about the 4124 and 4126 though.
What's the difference between both and how do you properly install the 4126?
Brut's 4.1.0 version is available now:

I tried to upgrade to the Swype beta 2.X and so I uninstalled the old version first after using Titanium Backup to back up the original app just in case. Well, the new version kept force closing so i had to uninstall and when i went to re-install the old version, I couldn't! Titanium did not have the back up in its system. So how do I re-install the old version that came with the Captivate?
Market embedded in XDAndroid is v. 1.8.6, but we know there is a newer version 2.2.6. But I haven't received the update, nor I can install the new market lauching the new .apk.
So the question is: is there a way for us to update the embedded market of XDAndroid to the last one 2.2.6?
I wasn't able to install it either, but I have tried the Gingerbread Rom which had it installed. It looks a bit nicer than the old market but aside from that I can't see much difference.
Hello everyone
I ve installed manually Samsung browser version 5.0 over my old version but it doesn't run correctly with errors, unexpected closes etc.. Now I want to go back to the right version but I cannot either uninstall it or install the previous one over the new one as it's a system app. I'm not rooted.. Is there a way I can do it or any 5 version that works correctly to anyone to install it?

I don't think version 5 worked for me either.
If you installed it then it should have installed as a user app. You should be able to uninstall it via app manager using the 'uninstall updates' button and revert to the default (system) version.
Have you tried clearing cache and data for the browser app first?
You can always install the play store version.
.

I didn't uninstall the previous version. There was a list of different ways to update Magisk within the Magik app. One of them was marked as 'recommend' which I chose.
I hope someone will answer your questions.
