Hello everybody,
I'm using my Kaiser with a dual-sim-adapter. The problem is, that using one sim-card the operator name is shown right, on the other card it's wrong.
At the Artemis there was a solution with a registry change (HKLM > Software > Microsoft > RIL > OperatorNames). But on my Kaiser this solution does not work.
Does anyone know this problem and can help me?
Thanks to all!

No solution?
hi, what kind of dual sim adapter are you using?
It's a analog one by http://www.hot-wire-telekom.de
I have the same problem here. The Todayplugin.cab in order to switch the network does not work. I just change the network via phone on/off.
Any suggestion?
Same problem on my o2 Xda Orbit 2. I have also the SIM adapter from hot-wire-telekom and the provider name is not shown correctly.
Any solution for that? Registry Hack or something else?

I was confused... I cannot dial out any phone number... only can receive..
I try to install my sim card in another handset, it is work.
who can help me?
thanks.
Need more information to help
What happens when you try to dial out (any messages given)? Have you run through the Connection setup (under settings) for your country and operator (I assume it's a TyTN II we're referring to since we're in the Kaiser forum)? More information about your phone/ppc, sim, country and network may help.
Hate to ask the obvious: did you try a soft reset?
Where I dial out, the phone will alert "Bi Bi Bi Bi". Of course Tytn II... What you mean by "Connection setup"? in my Connection session, I only can find Tasks and Advanced but not country and operator.
I using Orange UK.
And soft-reset many times.
thanks.

Had the same symptoms occasionally when connected to 3G on my P3600. Turned out it was a network problem. Network hardware was upgraded a couple of months later and no more problems since (P3600 and P4550).
Try disabling 3G, maybe it helps....
how can I do that...

Read the manual or (translating from a German device): Phone -> Menu -> Options -> Band -> network type : select GSM.
This may or may not help, but it´s worth a try.
Good luck!
I have followed your guideline but still not work...
And I cannot access to 3G, GPRS now... Crazy...
My mistake......you should of course select GSM - typo in above post.....
If it still doesn´t work, I´m afraid I´ve no more ideas
Opposite
I have quite the opposite problem on my elf - Outgoing calls are possible, but no incoming calls. This sim card works fine on another phone, but does not work on another touch. Other sim cards work fine.
Any ideas anyone ?
( I know it's the wrong forum, but am desperate .

Cool man. It is work. But Do you know why I cannot set as Automatic? is that mean I cannot use 3G now???
Looks like it is indeed network specific. You might want to contact your provider and see if they are aware of any problems. As I said, my network did have the same issues occasionally and I believe Orange in France had some troubles as well about a year ago or so.....

Well with my (HTC branded and non network customised) TyTN II, Connection Setup is the name of an icon in Settings, Connections Tab. It allows me to select the country and network and the program configures the rest.
I using Orange UK.

Ah that may explain it. If you have an Orange provided version of the TyTN II, they may have customised the options on your phone to remove that program/function. Connection Setup is explained in my manual immediately after the section on Comm Manager (pg 163). I'll be interested to hear what your network provider has to say about the problem.
Hey Guys,
I bought an Kaiser at Ebay, it is flashed with the original HTC German 6.1 Rom.
I'm using the Base network (same like Eplus) but my phone is telling me that is has no signal (The Signal-Meter is overlayed by an "!")
And when i go the settings menu and try to scan for networks there is still an error message, that the network can not be searched.
When it put my sim into my P4350, it is working perfect.
The seller from ebay told me it has worked for him.
I already checked at phone settings, but there is already choosen "GSM" an the correct frequency range for "E-Network"
Please help...
I' desperate ;(

Hello,
This is my first post, but i hope i'll get an answer.
I recently installed Android on my TyTN II.
I live in Holland and therefore i have a dutch sim card. The sim card comes from KPN, just to let you know.
My problem: i can't configure any apn. If I click on Access point names to configure an access point, a black screen comes up with a title bar saying APN. Nothing else on the screen.
So, how can i configure an APN?

Hello, my dear talent xda delevelpers,
I bought a T-mobile HD7 online few days ago, and i am using it in China now, the operator is China Mobile. I face some troubles these days, and i am searching the whole world but i can't get the answers, please help out.
1. How to identify HD7 is unlock or not? Then i know if i need to unlock it.
2. I could not get any date service (Wifi is not available for me), i am sure i input the correct APN but no data service in HTC HUB/marketplace/Emails, ect. Data connection of the same SIM card works on my old phone O2 Xdalli perfectly, but not on HD7. Is it because of not unlock or how can i get advance settings?
3. I heard that there is "CONNECTION SETUP" on other HD7s, but i cann't find it in marketplace or HTC webside, can somebody send me this app? maybe i can solve the data connection problem with it. Also, i want an "ATTENTIVE PHONE" app, please send me as well if you have.
4. My last question is, i got a T-mobile SIM card in the box, is it come along with any balance or package? Can I use it in China by roaming?
Waiting anxiously and really appreciate your help. Thank you so much.
1.Try putting your local sim-card ,if there is no network then yours is locked.
2.For data connection , I got HTC Connection Setup.
You can download it from Marketplace.(its under HTC apps)
Since you dont have Wi-fi I recommand you do this setup at your friends,Or at some internet center.
3.Sorry I dont think its currently possible to send over apps. You have to get it from Marketplace yourself.
4.As for the last question , hy dont you try using the T-Mo card and see what happens

2. Still i could not find connection setup from marketplace app. Under genres, there is "tools", and i rolled so many pages but i cant not find. I searched also, there is only an app named "student connection", do you have an address? or tell me how to find it?
3. I successfully make it prison break, haha
I will try my T mobile SIM later, and see what happens :)
