does anyone know, Which version of TomTom or Garmin XT maps supports TST?

Has anyone considered writing a driver to emulate one of the TMC receivers that iGo8 supports and then feeding it with traffic information from Google Traffic?
Would such an app even be feasible?

google only buffers partial maps, so that an internet-connection is urgent needed

YOU CAN'T USE GOOGLE MAPS OFFLINE. better get navdroyd from the market. ONLY 5 EURO AND YOU GET A WORLDWIDE OFFLINE NAVIGATION. I DOWNLOADED THE WHOLE EUROPEAN MAP AND IT'S 2 GB WITH 3D AND POI.

Is there an app that can download a predefined area and then put that data in the offline cache of google maps ( v5.0 supports offline caching)?

[Q] Google navigation without market

I run the stock rom and am happy with the apps that are available to me through slideme, Amazon etc.
One thing, how can I get Google navigation (not just maps) without access to the market?

Navigation is built into the maps app for android, but the g tablet doesn't have GPS, so the navigation wont do much good without a Bluetooth GPS receiver or a Bluetooth connection to a GPS enabled phone.
