anyone got some ideas
Simple dude. Go into Music Player - Menu - and update files.
if i start it it states that i don't have any clips and every button is blocked but the play list menu
anyone....
I got the same problem. How do you guys get the audio manager to scan my musics stored in the storage card?
When I opened audio manager, it prompted "no music found". I can not select any button except for the playlist. I looked everywhere and still can not find how to update the playlist with my musics.
Thanks for the helps!

We are talking about Audio Manager here aren't we? I have version 1.02 and there isn't a menu option for update files! I am very confused and can't seem to get it to play my files

Hi All - I think it must be me, but I can't get my head around the HTC Audio Manager. I deleted all the 'supplied' songs on my device and added some new ones from my own collection. Windows Media Player picked up the revised song list but Audio Manager still seems to show all the *original* tracks. Obviously, when I click on them in Audio Manager, the programe says cannot find the track. I can't seem to make the device 'refresh' the tracks in Audio Manager
I can see I have a small animated magnifying glass towards to the top right of the program - does that mean it's searching or doing anything? It seems to run forever (20 minutes and counting) and not do much...Should I have left it running -is that how it refreshes the list?
Thanks
On my HTC TYTN II (with shipped ROM), the HTC Audio Manager automatically updates via the rotating magnifying glass in the upper right corner, as you observed. Also, I have noticed that every time I open HTC Audio Manager, it seems to do a search. I had a similar problem once, and I went into Windows Media Player and used the "Update Library" function there, then went back to HTC Audio Manager and it updated. Hope this helps you.
Library
Thanks...I guess I should wait a little longer for the magnifying glass to stop! It's got quite a bot of data to get through on my 4Gb Micro SD card. I did try updating the library in Media Player...but the results didn't seem to transfer over to/into the Audio Manager - strange!
As I say, maybe I should just give it longer to do the magnifying glass thing...
Hhmmmm. I left the magnifying glass spinning for three hours...and it was still spinning. I guess something is not working properly here with the playlists. Is there any way to manually delete all the playlists and start again?
Thanks
Stevep, I had a similar problem recently. Where the audio manager didn't update files that windows media could see. I decided to just delete all files in Strage Card >> Music and resync the playlists. Seems to work fine now.
Playlists not updating in Audio Manager
Hi foaf - glad to see it's not just me then! When you say you deleted all the files, do you mean the actual MP3 files themselves or the playlist file - if it's the latter, where is the playlist data held?
Thanks
Does anyone know how you can associate mp3's & mwa's to open with Audio Manager? (Making it the default player for my music files)
Hallo, I have problem with file association for HTC Audio Manager.
When I set .mp3 [audiomanager.exe "%1"] in Advanced Configuration Tool (File associations section ) and launch .mp3 file example from File Explorer, Audio manager run, but without playing. On screen is old mp3 file from previos playing...
When I set .mp3 back to [WMPlayer.exe "%1"] and launch some .mp3 file, Windows media player run and play .mp3 file which I select. It is correct.
I need to run .MP3 file and launch and play it with Audiomanager, not WMP.
Help me, please.
you don't need to associate mp3s unless you want to associate a certain program to play it while browsing in a file explorer.by default audiomanager will detect the mp3 in the library and should play it back with no issues
Thanks for replay. Unfortunately, I need to associate MP3 with Audio Manager.
I use pRSSread for downloading and managing podcasts. When I run podcast from this program (it is same like run from File Manager), only WinMedia play podcast correct. Audio Manager open itself, but do not play selected file, see my previous post. :-(
I want to play MP3 from pRSSread on Audio manager. This program is more comfortable, powerful volume, nice bar on HTC Home, display MP3 tags, ...
Is there anybody, who can run MP3 in file manager and Audio Manager open and play?
It is strange, that I am alone with wants of this function...
Thank you!
Nope you're not alone. I just stumbled upon this thread searching for the exact same answer for the exact same reason... this problem is so freaking annoying. I'd rather have it launch into HTC's Audio Manager because I love the UI compared to all others players I've used. Plus I can turn off the display, and it keeps playing, if I could figure out how to make Windows Media Player do this instead of stop playing the podcast than I might settle for that as a work around.
Another annoying thing you may have noticed is it doesn't support PLS files either.

I fully agree with you... after hard resetting my P3300 Audio Manager is not able to find any titles to play! I spent a long time playing with playlist editors and trying to copy music files to almost every location but it still does not seem to work. I read it does not play files which does not have id3 tags and also it plays files only from device - not the storage card. Further analysis could get me the real cause of the problem but I am already exhausted. Any help guys? Do drop me a note please
Hi all,
got something that's driving me crazy, i can sync my music with windows media player fine and the music copies across as it should however when i come to play the music with touchflo 3d it only shows the first lot of music i put on.
I cannot seem to figure out how to refresh the libray on touchflo 3d...
does anyone have the answer for me?
thanks
If you tap 'Library', then slide accross to Albums... do your recently synced items show up there?
I am having this problem too
I cannot see any of my music in TF3D music player
no nothing is showing up i resynced all my music with media player and still nothing shows, it nows says no music found.
there must be a better way to sort the library.
there shouldnt be this hassle just to put music on the phone!
I think you require too much for a phone so cheap.
Try the advantage,or wait for HD.

i want your job if you consider this to be (a phone so cheap)
you get paid too much.
on the plus side to the normally challenged people out there , you have to update the library in windows media player, then go into library on touchflo 3D, select all songs and play the first track it then updates all the tracks for you.

thannks man, this has been driving me crazy - talk about a flaw in the system!
Will
Delete Application Data/HTC/AudioManager/AudioManager_Eng.vol and do soft reset.
this will rescann your complete library.
i got the same problem and this helped
I still cannot get it to work - all my music syncs of from media player and I can play it on media player on the diamond but on TF3D it just hangs on Searching!!!
If i delete all my media and load 1 song it works fine if I do the above deleting of the HTC application folder but if I then try to add some more it does not work!!
Has anyone got this working? or is it just me?????

prob just you lol, works for me try this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397819&highlight=tf3d+music+albums
just add the music to internal storage yourself? :S works fine for me
nope didn't work...must be just me!!
I have moved to S2P but its a shame i wanted to use the built in stuff
I had the same problems too. Until I read and followed the instructions for adding songs and album art and updating the library on TF3D.
Now for the enchilada!! Does anyone know how you can update windows media's library (once you have added more songs to the Diamond from PC) and set it to search in a particular folder instead of adding all the media files on the phone(tomtom files, alert & warning sounds and the like) to your music library. Only solution thus far more is to delete these files every time i update, which is now getting a bit tiring .
Any help or suggestions welcomed.
I have a completely stock HTC One 801S and I have been trying to copy my music into it. I copied MP3's into the 'Music' folder and it shows when I check with Windows explorer, it also shows up when I use File Manager from the Play Store but the Media player in the phone (the one with the little Headset Icon does not see anything new. The preloaded music shows up and plays but not what I added.
If I use the File Manager from the Play Store and select the music, it plays fine. I also installed Android Music but the same problem, anything I copy into the phone does not show up in any music player in the phone. Restart the phone many times but no luck.
Does anybody have solutions or ideas how to solve this?
Thanks,
JB
Quick update: if I send the files over Bluetooth they show up in the Bluetooth folder in the music player and they play OK in the stock music player. This is a work around because I cannot organize them in folders.
Anybody can help me?
thanks,
JB
When I stream an audio file on my Note 5, it plays in the Google Play Music app that came with the phone. If I click off of the app as it plays the file, the audio stops playing altogether and the app basically closes. I have to restart the stream and then find the point that it stopped to resume. So, I cannot do anything on the phone with the audio playing the background it seems. I believe this happens if I play a video via the stock video player app as well. Is there a way where I can play such files in the background while I surf the 'net or do other tasks on my phone? Is there an app that might accomplish this on Android??? TIA.
why dont u play in the default music player that came with note5 (not google play)
recently the updated it

How do I do this? When I click on any audio file on the Note 5, it only gives me the option of playing it (streaming it) with the Google Play Music app or downloading it. If I download it, I can still only open it and play it with the Google Play Music app. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Go to Settings > Application manager > More > More > Reset Apps preference > check ok. Now you can choose to play files over gplay music, stock music player ot 3rh party apps

Great! I did that and it does now give me the option of playing via Google Play Music app or the stock music player. However, I still cannot do anything else on the phone without the audio file pausing and/or stopping the playing of the audio file. For example, I just downloaded a podcast file onto my phone, opened it and told it to play it with the stock music player app. It will sit there and play the entire hour-long podcast just fine. But, if I need to go check a text message I received or look at something on the Internet, the stock music player stops playing the audio file (pauses playback of it) until I finish checking the text message or complete the Internet task and go back to the stock music player and click on the "play" button. I would prefer that it keeps playing the audio file when I minimize it to go check text messages or e-mails or do something on the Internet. Or is there maybe a 3rd party app that will do this??? Thanks for your help!

It appears that you use "my files" to play your music..you have been using the pop up music player and thus it will stop when you exit. Try to play music via the music app, search your music in the app itself and not from your downloaded files. Once you are in the stock music app,go to tracks and all your downloaded music will appear

Don't ask me why I didn't think of trying this before, but I didn't. I just opened the stock music player and went to tracks (just ask you described), the podcast files were there. I clicked on the one I was listening to last night and proceeded to check my text messages and e-mail and the audio kept playing in the background. Thanks for mentioning this! Really appreciate it! :good: :good: :good:
