Hello guys, as promised I did some test with my bluetooth headset and it works really well.
It resumes correctly after the stand-by, pushing the power button doesn't make any messy thing to bluetooth manager and the voice is quite good, quality seems bad before trying this fix.
I just noticed one thing with the red led that tell you when you're having a misscall or a waiting sms: it happened a time that it stuks in red also if no miscalls or sms were present at that moment.
I didn't tried a second time but if someone wish to simulate it can provide another reliable feedback to Big Mike.
Again guys, thanks for this fix and for your great work!
Saluti
I have posted a bug with the rear speaker and the volume control. On my unit, when you turn this feature on, the volume is very loud. Even if you turn down the volume to the lowest setting, the volume is less, but still to loud. In a discussion with HTC today, they had no answer as to why this is happening. They indicated that when you turn down the volume to the lowest setting, it should mute. They pointed out that in WM6 there is no settings tab for setting the rear speaker volume as in WM5. Has anyone else tried this feature?
I don't have this problem.
But it doesn't mute though when i use the roll switch on the left side of the kaiser to lower the volume, it does decrease the volume to a minimum, but is NOT muted completely. (that's not a problem for me.. if i don't want to hear the rear speaker, i don't activate them ).

Hi
When using the speaker phone and turning down the volume, even on the lowest setting it isn't off completely. This makes absolute sense as if you are on a call using the speaker phone having no sound at all, well what is the point of being on the call in the first place?
When playing sound elsewhere, i.e. not in a call turning it down completely does mute it.
Your particular issue seems to be the sound doesn't go quiet enough for you, maybe HTC can change this in future firmware. I expect the complaints they get most often is it isn't loud enough to annoy people even more with silly ring tones!
Regards
Phil
"silly ring tones!"
Ha, that should be a song

this is my pet hate
the number of ar$eholes who play music through the speaker on their phones - i nearly kill someone every day on the bus to work - one day im going to bludgeon one to death with my kaiser
im sitting inside now and theres some prick outside in his nova doing his bit to deny me of any peace - im gonna lose it and go vigilante pretty soon
I wonder if anyone face this issue, I tried to use the Speaker on to make a Phone calls while driving and I can hear the other person clearly but the problem that the other person does not hear me will and I have to Hold the phone close to my mouth (1- cm.Maximum) ; and I have to shout loudly to make the other person on the line hearing me and I have to reduce the Speaker Volume to the minimum level and in this case the other person on the line can hear my voice but not clear .
I tried many times but it is the same problem
and I have to turn the speaker off and use the phone with the normal way and in this case the phone working great ( Speaker & the Microphone ) .
any one can help me and let me know why this happening
Try to switch off the AGC option under settings->system.

Hello
1st af all, sorry for my engllish, I'm french...
The problem: does anyone know how to remove the 100dB European sound limitation on a Diamond?
I've read on this forum some registry keys to be modified, but that was for the Touch.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
according to what i read in the manual there was a "special" note to french ppl that the sound device followed the rules, dunno if there is on all european or not.
I agree, maybe it's only a french limitation...
If you find the registry trick try it cause if it worked on the TOUCH there is a big chance that it may work on DIAMOND too. If you find the cab ant it works please post it here
the registry keys on the touch are not available on the Diamond...
I've seen this on this Post
Applying the .cab would create them and make them function?
This worked on my touch :
http://dl.free.fr/j8eVjo2h6/Boost-Audio.cab
to go back:
http://dl.free.fr/i1pJUzT91/Boost-Audio_Defaut.cab
Try it you'll see what happen. Otherwise try a WWE ROM instead of the french ROM.
Thanks for your cab but didn't change anything at all...
nobody knows?
I've found the "AudioPara4-HTC-France_V3.csv" file in the Windows folder, should be maybe modified, but I don't know in which way...

100db europian limit?
i wish it reached 100db.
You have any idea how much 100db is?
I have a x-mini speaker and reaches 89db, and it is about 2 times loader then the diamond.
It's a limitation only for the ear headset...and effectively onlu in France...
Maybe a solution, that I wrote on a French forum, it's the reason why I copy/paste it in French
Avec un éditeur de registre, accéder à la clé:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\AcousticFile

That would make the diamond 87db right? Decibels are logarithmic.
Wow, why in gods name would you want to get to 100dB? 100dB is pretty much the limit between light hearing damage and acute hearing damage. Having to work with 80dB for several year already causes irreversible ear damage.

Sometimes it's nice to listen to something loud for a short time.
I also find the volume when listening to FM through the provided headphones very quiet and have to put the volume to about 80% just to get decent sound.
My Tytn 2 was capable of being much louder, so there must be a software limit that can be removed.
Problem is solved.
But the problem was that the sound was VERY quiet even à 100% volume, and that was for me a huge case when I was in noisy environnements. I don't really like In-ears headphones either...
I think you can't imagine this "max" sound level, as your phones are not limitated...no? (and at 42, I know what is dangerous for me or not, thanks)

make it that yhe x-mini is 3 times louder then the diamond.
but how did you solve the problem?
I wrote it above...
Diamond is about 66 Db only both for ring & voice. Its really very far from even being loud.
