Sprite Backup - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

My copy of Sprite backup on a stock AT&T Rom says that the evaluation period has expired? Does the full version only come on HTC Roms?

there is an answer for you question in wiki's

here it's pasted from the link...
///Should I do a restore from backup after I have upgraded my rom to a new version?
Short version N0
Long Version; If you restore a backup after a rom upgrade you are going to downgrade your software to what you had before the upgrade. Thus do a rom upgrade, sync your outlook, re-install your applications, re set your local settings.
Yes you can do it another way but at the momment you are reading BlueAngel For Beginners.///
Thank you, I did look there honest, but not well enough obviously

How to make a full backup of phone memory (incl. ROM)?

Hello,
I've just bought a brand new X1. I want to play a little with putting a new ROM but my warranty will be void then. Is there any way to make a full phone backup (including ROM - all WinMo files and so on)? In case I would need to service my phone I would restore the original system from this backup. The best would be a software that does not leave any traces of e.g. custom bootloader (I don't know exactly how X1 works yet, am going to experiment with it after making a backup ).

Not possible yet. I believe there is an app being worked upon by someone in the forum and an official one as well. Both are not ready yet.
sprite backup or spb backup.
You can also get the factory ROMs on this site to "reinstate" your warranty should you need warranty service from SE.

Backup Image ROM

How do i backup my rom ?
because i want to try another rom, and my existing rom there are so many application that i had installed
and my plan is if the rom doesn't fit my needs, i want to restore my previous rom without installing the apps from 1st time
thanks
Assuming you have a backup of the ROM itself, then an application such as Sprite Backup would allow you to restore your phone to its current state. Step 1 would be to put the current ROM back onto the device, and Step 2 would be to restore the Sprite Backup that you would make before flashing your new ROM.
AFAIK, there's no way of taking a "snapshot" of your phone, ROM and applications, and being able to restore back to that at some point in the future.
Cheers,
Steve.
thanks for the response,
btw: is there any freeware to do that ?
thanks

[Q] Restoring an SMS backup

Hey there!
Before going to Darkky's Gingerbread ROM (v8.0) (awesome btw), I made a backup of my SMS, both once with Kies and once with Platinum Backup. I am trying to restore them now. However, it won't work with the new version of Kies (and I'm not so sure it's compatible with the this custom ROM either). Also, I can't seem to get it back with Platinum Backup (I have pro now btw, but made the backup with the free version).
Does anyone know a method to restore my SMS files?
