Greetings all,
I have read through the forums for days, done countless google & forum searches, & played with my registry inside & out, all to no avail.
Now for the question I need help with.
Is there any way to get the phone call bt audio to transmit to both BT headset speakers? I am using the Kaiser (Tilt Version) with the Motorola S90 stereo BT Headset (Which is nice BTW) & while I can get great stereo movies & radio, the phone calls are all mono to the left ear. I've tried looking at the media BT registry profile & the phone call registry profile & have made some changes again to no avail.
Anyone figured out how to simulate stereo for phone calls & get the audio over to both channels?
Any help is appreciated & will be reciprocated somehow! RS
Might be a function of the headset itself. I have the Moto S9 too. I like it but it gets uncomfortable for extended periods of time. Plus only gets calls in one ear, hence it's sometimetime hard to hear the caller. I recently picked up the Sony DR-BT21G, and although the Motos sound a little better, the Sonys get phone calls in stereo and have up to 11 hours battery life (to the Motos 6-7), and are much more comfortable for long periods.
So now I use the Motos just for working out, and the Sony's during the day at work.

Just received my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 Stereo Bluetooth Headset. It's being charged up right now. I'll let everyone know hows the sound quality tonight.
Paid: 99.99 + 5.95 Shipping = 105.94
Edited: Here is what i have experienced with this unit.
Here are the Specs: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/hbh-ds980?cc=&lc=
Sound: Great Clarity and rich Bass( Sounds like your in a car thats equipped with Sound System)
Range: Since it is Bluetooth Version 2.0 , it has better range than any other bluetooth headset Version 1.2. ( My previous Stereo Bluetooth by LG HBS-110 was V1.2. While listening to music, it got cut off when i went into another room, and came back on when it was in line of sight.) On the Sony Ericsson, it was cutting off a little bit but not completely off, and can go farther than like the LG)
so far thats with the Music portion. Still have to play around with it more to see whats great about it.

I think Sony DR-BT Serie is better. Its more a Headset for Bluetooth MP3 Player. They have better DA-Converter inside. I use in the moment ... DR-BT50.

i've been using the Sony DR-BT10CX for the past few months and am very pleased with the sound quality i am receiving. i am having two major problems that i do not know how to fix:
1. every time i go to connect the headset to the phone, i have to go into the bluetooth settings, uncheck the boxes a) wireless stereo and b) headset, then save those changes. then i have to go back into the settings and re-check the boxes and save. - this is a nightmare of an issue, when the headset should simply connect automatically when turned on.
2. making calls is fine, but when a call is received it does not answer through the headset, but through the phone. pointless if you are driving for example...
if anyone knows how i can fix this, i'd love to hear a solution...
MBR-100 Sony/Ericson stereo receiver
I'm using the MBR-100 Sony/Ericson stereo receiver to stream music to me car stereo via 3.5mm input cable and to me earbuds when I am riding on my motorcycle. It connects quickly, sounds good and lasts about a week between charges. I only commute about an hour a day. I got it for $80 at Fry Electronics. I have seen a few of them ob ebay as well.
HT820 + Telus P3050 Touch
I have the Motorola HT820 on a Telus Touch P3050 Vogue and it is very good. I am pleased with my choice.
Sadly I must say stay away from the BlueAnt X5's...horrid sound quality. It seems that the sony's have good sound quality, at least as good as a wired buds that are included. The X5's are much worse. Less spatial seperation, more "muddy" sound, just not good.
Everything I've heard and read about the Jawbone BT headset says that it's a very high quality unit, with excellent noise reduction/cancellation properties. I'll be getting one when I save up some pennies. (10,000 pennies to go!)
i'm using the BlueAnt Z9 with the new 3.4 firmware update and, for me, it's loud and clear with the Vogue. i actually have to turn it down...i have not had any complaints from others when using the headset. when i purchased the Z9 it had the 3.0 firmware and the volume was very acceptable to me. also, the 3.0 firmware allowed you to control the volume with the phone. with the 3.4 firmware, all volume is controlled by the headset.
Jawbone
I have the black jawbone best bluetooth I have used thus far and I have tested quite a few. connects flawlesly and quickly as soon as you turn it on and the noise cancelation that the jawbone is famous for actualy works
I have an old wep150 (samsung) I got it for another phone about a year and a half ago. Its sounds worse on the vogue than it did on my motorola phones. I hope to get a nice stero headset for listening to music and calls. I'm glad to hear the sound quality is good for these devices.
BT
I use the Jabra BT 5020 works awesome on my sprint (cdma) touch. Long life too.. I have always like the jabra products. You can also pair it with multiple devices. it has vibrate.
Timdawg
Just got the SE HBH-DS970 and it works pretty well. the call display only shows the number not the name unfortunetly. And My music tracks don't seem to show up on the screen. Any one else experience this?
I just got the new MOTOPURE H12 the other day and really like it. I got rid of the Jabra BT8010 because I felt like I had to yell into it. This new H12 is pricey at $129.00 but worth it because I am in the car alot. This thing is very small and very light. It comes with a cool desktop charger and carrying case that you can use as a charger also. Here is a link http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/h12/
Good question, CCRRAR!
Has anybody got a bluetooth to work with Voice Command??! The closest I've gotten has been with the Blue Ant Z9, I manage a RadioShack, and we just started carrying that unit. It is small, lightweight, comfortable, and very good volume. Better than almost any Motorola bluetooth re: volume. The plantronics are good volume as well, but a bit bulkier. But the Blue Ant actually recognizes Voice Command! The problem, like most, is it doesn't recognize the confirmation.
Very Frustrating!
Anyone found a fix? I've tried some that profess to be the "true fix" but no luck.

I have a question regarding bluetooth.
I have an sony HBH-DS980 that works great for music playback on my tytn ii.
The problem i have with it is that when the music is playing and a receive a phone call it notifies me and i answer the call. After the call is over the bluetooth link seems to drop and will no reconnect untill i turn the headset off and on.
Is there a way to make the headset go back to music playing and not drop link automatically?

Not having experience of this unit this may be down to the individual headset and I hope some others will come in with experience of this.
Does the headset support both Headset and Wireless Stereo profile?
If it does not, the function may not be supported. I use a Promate PM-2600 and it supports both and when I have selected Wireless Stereo (this has to be done manually!) it works without problem when answering a call and passing back to music or video play.
Hope someone with information on this particular unit gets back to you.

Hi,
I own a Sony HBH-DS980 too, and experiencing the same problem Linxus40's having, but on my 8925 Tilt, of which is essentially the same phone as Linxus40's HTC Tynii .
It's very frustrating having to reboot the HBH-DS980 & re-press the play button to re-establish the bt connection after completion of every incoming call. It's s my understanding that the Sony HBH-DS980 supports both wireless headset & the wireless stereo profile, as I've got no problem placing & receiving unlimited bt calls without disconnection when I'm not listening to music. This said, I find the HBH-DS980's bt audio 'sound quality' fantastic thru the 8925 Tilt.
btw: I've got PocketMusic 5 and PocketPlayer 3.51 on my Tilt, but experience significantly better sound (audio quality) when my music is played via PocketMusic compared to PocketPlayer. Curious if any body else here notices this too.
Ok, any other Sony HBH-DS908 bluetooth headset owners experiencing the dropped bluetooth connection problem Linuxus40 and I are experiencing? Any advice on how the problem can be corrected?
Thanks in advance.

I'm facing the same issue as well! Tried numerous hard resets and fixes you would have thought imaginable! Unfortunately the problem is still existent and it is freaking irritating when you have to press the play button to repair the headset. Worst still - when the music starts playing through the speaker after a call, everyone starts to look at you like you are some moron.
I do really hope there is a way to resolve the problem. Any new fixes i can try???
Senior members? Any help?

I have this exact same problem on my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220.
The bluetooth will disconnect after hanging up a phone call. I don't press anything on the headset, I wait for the other person to hang up. When it hangs up, it immediately disconnects the bluetooth headset.
Annoying!
Probably a problem with the bluetooth stack then. The stack is already known to be very buggy and have problems with lots of Bluetooth devices. Luckily, unlike the graphics card, it looks like HTC will be releasing a fixed Bluetooth stack at some point in the future. In the mean time, you are probably out of luck.
Bluetooth connection problem also with Tilt
I have a Plantronics 510 BT earpiece that for no discernible reason is connected one minute and gone the next too. I haven't been able to determine any combination of actions, such as ending a call as the culprit. I always have to make the connection manually between the earpiece and the Tilt also - it never links automatically when I turn the earpiece on like it did with my Treo 650. I've had this Tilt for 3 days and this is probably going to be a show stopper and make me return it to at&t before the eval period in spite of everything else good about the phone. I also have a Plantronics Pulsar 590 stereo headset that I haven't experimented enough with yet to know if the connection is as flaky. But the bottom line is - I'll be damned if I'm going to try to fiddle with establishing a connection and all the steps it can take while I'm driving down the road!

can anyone recommend a bluetooth receiver that works well with this phone?
I am looking for something I can plug my own headphones into... has its own mic... and controls that will work to skip tracks when listening to music.
A friend recommended me this
http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=152
which is about 2 years old now... just wondering if anyone else uses anything else?
or even a wired one that controls the music and has a mic, but lets you use your own headphones.
Thanks
Hi
I have a set of Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones, which also has a built in mic and music control keys. I was getting backgroud hiss issues with my Vario II, but I can confirm that these headphones work flawlessly with my Touch Dual.
http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=177
hmmm was hoping for something i could use my own earphones with...
thanks though
The S9s are good and sound quality (at least on my old N73) was absolutely fantastic.
However, I couldn't recommend the Motos to anyone. I've had 3 of them, and they've all failed with exactly the same problem - all the controls have failed. They're supposed to be waterproof, and having used them down the gym whilst running, they couldn't cope with a small amount of sweat.
You could go for :

Only £30 at L8shop.
ahh... thats the one i ended up going for... hopefully arrive soon...
we must think alike haha
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220
I ordered a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 from Ebay about a month ago and paid 60 USD - works really well for music, has full controls including call functions - even pauses music when you have an incoming call and you get to use your own headphones if you prefer - which is why I chose this set?
Here's the link - hope this helps?

just received my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS200 today...
I have to say I am disappointed.
In the description on the mobilefun website I think it said music browsing... I was expecting to be able to twist the thing (like on my old md players, etc) to be able to skip forward or backward.
I was also expecting a volume control, but there is none.
Other things that bug me...
- when phone is on standby mode, when you press play on the ds200 the phone turns on. I am not sure if this is because of my ROM (t-mobile uk) or because of the ds200. A mate of mine back in oz has the touch dual with the motorola mentioned above, and the screen doesnt switch on. Pretty annoying.
- when someone rings me... I thought that I would just hear the ring in my earphones... but my phone rings.
- when listening to music... it seems to cut out momentarily (half a sec) every once in a while. Not sure if most bluetooth audio things do this, since this is my first one.
On the positive side of things... when listening to music and you decide to call someone... it switches automatically and the mic seems to work alright with the earphones. But I guess this is something that I expect anyway.
Also it is a good size.
Lbt-hp210c2bk
any one had try or tested this new logitec LBT-HP210C2BK??
I'm generally disappointed with the music playback on the Dual, either with the supplied headphones, or with my Jabra BT620s.
Pressing play on the Jabras doesn't always make the Dual start playing. Sometimes pressing play on the Dual, playback commences through the phone instead.
The momentary pause in the music seems to be a "feature" of the Dual though It does it both via wired and A2DP headsets.
Also, see what happens with incoming calls when you've got the bluetooth headset connected. Mine routes incoming calls through the phone, not the headphones.
And for those considering the S9HD - consider the price difference, and look at installing the SRS WOW HD software onto the Dual - probably does a similar job.

I have a DS220 and am generally satisfied with the sound quality for music playback but I do have one (rather major) problem: after phone calls (both incoming and outgoing) the phone drops the connection to my headset and I have to switch the headset off and then back on to reconnect. This is really irritating!

Hey all,
I just picked up a shiny new set of Sony DR-BT10CX A2DP headphones, because I was sick of the huge Diamond headphone adapter.
I was hoping that the clever folks of xda-developers could clear up a few things for me, though.
Does A2DP support calling (microphone, etc), or should the phone switch the HFP/HSP when a call is made (or comes in)?
I ask because I'm getting bizarre behaviour...
If I'm listening to music and I make a call, the music mutes and I get my friend's voice through the headphones, but I have to speak through the phone.
If I'm listening to music and I receive a call, the music still mutes, but I have to use the phone to hear and speak.
Also, voice commands don't work through the microphone.
If the phone is supposed to switch into HFP from A2DP to deal with calling, this all makes sense (sort of...), but it doesn't explain why the profile switching doesn't happen.
I know there are already a bunch of topics about the Diamond and A2DP, but nothing that fits my situation. Since I'm using the Telus CDMA Diamond, I imagine that the other problems with A2DP were fixed (since I never have the problem of the phone playing music through the speaker instead of the headphones after a call), but it's still not perfect.
Hello,
Recently I've been trying two bluetooth headsets with my HD2, one of them is Plantronics M100 and the second is Nokia BH-609.
My phone uses Manila 2.5. and hypnosis v.7.0.1 plk ROM, I also use the Co0kie.HomeTab_v2.0.0. The phone has a Bluetooth for Windows Mobile 1.9.3 build 1000
As I tried the first headset, the receiving sound quality and volume were fine, but the person I was speaking to had problems with hearing me at certain times. When I had the headset pointing directly at my mouth, it the sound level was ok, but when the headset moved even one centimeter up or down, or even to the side, the sound level was too low for my speaker to hear. This annoyed me a bit, so I returned the headset after a day or two, and got a bit more expensive Nokia BH-609.
To my surprise, there was the same problem with BH-609. After testing the headpiece for a day to make sure there is nothing that I can do, I returned it to the shop as well.
Now I'm looking for advice, I'v searched the Forum and the Internet but can't find a similar problem and a solution. I appreciate all of your help.
