Barcode reader - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi,
is there by any chance a software that reads barcodes? Like worldcard?
For example is it possible to take a picture of a barcode from an invoice and then a program on ppc reads all information: when you gotta pay, to whom, what number of bank account, what amount etc.? And then you can export it to calendar?
Maybe it would be to beautiful to have such soft but maybe something like this exists?
Thanks
Piotr

I'm not sure the barcode on the invoice has any such info *useful to you*. Bar codes are very limited things, probably just your account number...
It would be great if people would come up with a standard for putting the info you mentioned into a QRcode, it could be very useful.

Maybe something like this:

This would be interesting if it works. Would be interesting to see if it copies the information into something like Excel.
Barcodes are great for inventory and data input. For example, scanning in the serial number or mac address of devices... basically long strings which are easily mis-typed.
For the everyday person, its probably not much use.

Google phone program on Tilt

I've heard about a bar code scanning program that sounds kinda nice on the Google phone. And since I have the business card program (world card mobile) on my Tilt I was wondering if there is a similar program for the Tilt??????????? Any help or info is appreciated. Thanks in advance...
Speaking of Google its an amazing search tool that makes finding things such as these links possible...

Unfortantly there are none as polished as the G1s
lol thanks for your help MF. have a good one. I'm going to check these out and see how they work for me.
MF thanks but that's not quite what i was looking for. I mean a product barcode scanning program. The Google one can scan barcodes on products and find the lowest price and location for the item. The program is called Show Savvy. You can check it out on this youtube video.

MF, thanks again but it's not what I was looking for. The Google program is actually called Shop Savvy and can scan product bar codes and give shopping info about the item (like where to find it cheaper nearby). Here's a quick youtube clip about it.

its called barcorama, scans 1d and 2d barcodes

create a .csv file with the barcode?

I'm looking for a program that will allow me to scan objects (books particularly) with the barcode scanner so that i can produce a csv file, that i can export to certain sites (goodreads, specifically.) The csv file would (in my circumstances) need the isbn, author/title.
Does anyone know of something that would work for this?
I am not sure there is something already available that does this, but it wouldn't be exceptionally difficult to throw something like this together. Just hit the barcode scanner, do a quick internet search (I am pretty sure that there's at least one books search api out there), then spit the results to csv file.
sorry about being completely ignorant about this, and thank you for the response.
But how would those 3 things connect together?
I do have the barcode scanner
apparently google has a booksearch api.
But as far as combining those into something that would make a csv file.
i'm lost.
Is this something a person like myself who doesn't have computer skills can put together or no?
my barcode scanner doesn't let me scan qr codes, anyone know why this happens?
bump.... just in case somebody wants to take this project into their code making hands.

Printing

Hello,
I am thinking of substituting Google Docs for my basic word editor as I can access and edit files through it on my phone. However, there is one function delaying me from this switch, printing. Is there any way to print a Google Doc, or any document for that matter, through a wifi connected printer from Android or one of its apps? I realize that this may be quite impossible but I would like to be assured one way or the other.
Thank you,
Evervoid
look for the "send 2 printer" in the market it might help

Barcode scanner :: Android Webbrowser

Hi,
Today when I ordered my flight tickets i got a SMS with a link to see flight-information. In the browser i also got a "barcode" (QR/DR code? Im not sure).
I have tried the Marked to find an application to scan this code directly from my Android Webbrowser, but I cant find any. (Its pretty hard to use my phone cam to scan my phone screen )
Does anyone knows how?
Forward the SMS to your email account, check your email on a PC, scan the barcode from there
Hmmm, isnt there any barcode scanner that could read from the phone-display? :-((
Dont understand why WAP pages uses this kind of content if the cellphones arent able to use it straight from the phone-webbrowser?
- Kind of irritating that you have to lunch the wap page in a PC-browser and than scan the barcode. I doesnt always have my computer with me, and the reason why im using Andorid- and/or WM-OS, is just because that I could use my phone as a substitute for my computer when I dont have it around.
Tried your solution with "Barcode Scanner", but it didnt reconize it?? Maybe I have to use another type of scanner/app?
Here is the barcode (added the red line because the barcode have personal information)
Er, I was just suggesting a workaround until you found something that worked like you specified
Your QR code looks weird anyway, they usually have boxes in 3 of the corners.
Example
Its seems like my QR Code has one box only - and thats in the middle. Isn' it a QR Code maby?
Looks like the code is a DM Code: Example

It's neither a QR code nor a DM code. I don't know the specific name of it, but the picture you provided above is a new bar code that, as far as I know, is only used for paperless boarding passes. I don't know about internationally, but here in the US, it's currently only available at a few dozen airports while the system is being tested. I've used it flying out of both Newark, NJ (EWR) and Atlanta, GA (ATL).
It's a special 2D barcode that contains encrypted information about your flight information, as well as some personal information to identify you. It is specifically designed to be secure so that only the TSA and the airlines can decode the information. Most likely, the reason you received it was not so that you could scan it to get information about your ticket, but so that the TSA could scan it at security and the airline could scan it at the gate. Ideally, you wouldn't then need to print out a paper boarding pass, all you would need is your phone! (I say ideally, because since it's a brand new program, not everybody's really familiar with it yet, and you get some funny looks from the gate agents sometimes!)

Please point me in the direction i need to go.

Basically i need an in app "currency" that people can earn credits by viewing ads specific to one region(i can get individual adds and put them in myself) and say for example viewing the businesses ad you get 5 credits or points. With those points you can then go to businesses that accept the credits or virtual currency, as part payment for an offer etc, something small but useful, ex. A small local phone repair shop that accepts 100 credits for 30% off a phone case etc. (Bad example but forst thing that popped up). The thing is i need a way for the currency to be secure and when tou want to use an offer, you press on it and a qr vode pops up which the shop scans and deducts the points from you, meaning the vanish(not go to the business as ifs not a currency, but a coupon sort of thing), but every qr code should be user specific unique and single-use, to deduct the points from their account, and so other people couldnt screenshot your code and rob your credits. I explained it in a very complicated way but would appreciate any help. Thanks, ps i know these things exist.
