Hi,
I have a t-mobile MDA Vario III I've been happily viewing HTML emails through windows live, but just recently it's stopped rendering the HTML and it's now in plain text or even HTML code for all HTML emails.
Any ideas or to re-enable viewing HTML emails?
Thanks
In account settings select message format HTML (last wizard page)

I've just set up Gmail IMAP on my Kaiser, but I can't seem to get any of the message body to show. I've used the folder setup to specify the entire message to be downloaded including attachments.
On a test email I have sent with subject as "test test test" with the same message body. Also attached a 200k jpg file. My Gmail account downloaded the message, including the attachment - but no message body!?
Any ideas why the message body would be missing?
I'm pretty sure it's not a Gmail or IMAP issue, as I had this problem on my Hermes (Vario II) with a POP mail account.
Thanks,
FrankyG
I'm afraid it's a Gmail issue: http://groups.google.com/group/Gmai...8284ba446c/dc821659318f2bd2?q=imap+wm&lnk=ol&
I've just had this happen on my HTC Kaiser and I do NOT use Gmail...
E-mail was working fine for months. Now when I try and view any e-mail (POP, Windows Live or ActiveSync accounts) the "From", "To", and "Subject" fields are all visible as well as any e-mail attachments. However the body of the e-mail is entirely blank. Outlook is set to download the entire body so it's not a "headers only" issue.
Also SMS inbox works fine...so it is only e-mail.
I've tried deleting the cemail.vol database to see if it was a database corruption problem but it didn't resolve my problem.
Any ideas?
I cannot seem to be able to get HTML emails in Outlook from my Exchange 2003 server.
Everything I receive is in plain text, yet the emails are HTML.
When setting up the Exchange server on my TYTN2 (duttys 2Y8 fix) I get the choice of plain text or HTML, I select HTML, but after it is setup I see it has changed to plain text and is greyed out.
It does not seem ROM dependant as it has been the case with all the ROMs I have tried.
Any email that is HTML based is in plain text with the links shown, but no HTML formatting.
I have tried to find others with this problem, but searching does not yeild results.
Please help
I believe this is due to exchange server settings, not your phone. I sync with exchange 2003 & have the same results. HTML email is fine with pop3 or imap.

HTML with exchange only work with exchange 2007
looks like i will need to upgrade the office server to exchange 2007.
Thanks for the replies, I honestly thought HTML would work
Hi Guys,
sorry if this has been asked before I couldnt find it doing a search
I've recently upgraded to an MDA Compact IV, replacing my Vario II.
On the Vario II I have the option to allow the email message format to be downloaded in plain text with the option to download the HTML if i require.
The same settings seem to be on my Compact IV but it doesnt seem to be working. All html emails are downloading in HTML and not plain text as it says they should in the settings.
The settings i am looking at are:
messaging - options - relavant email account - edit account setup - and the last page gives the option for message format as plain text.
thanks in advance for your help
same problem ...
Hi,
I have ActiveSync setup to sync my email messages. This works perfectly, however HTML mail is displayed as text (so the CSS and all is displayed at the top of the email without any proper formatting). In the mail options for the server the format (where HTML/text is displayed) it is grayed out and it is defaulted to text. The mail server is Exchange compatible, we use Zimbra Network Edition. On all platforms the mail is received in HTML however it doesn't seem to pick this up.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi,
Anyone use this email client? It states you can view emails as HTML, but I when I receive those "sales" emails from Amazon.co.uk, they are all in text, they look nothing like the email I see on my computers Outlook.
Any ideas what I could do? Does the default mail client in HTC Touch Pro support HTML viewing?
You can find the software here: http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Internet-Utilities/Email/QMAIL-8837.shtml
The reason Im using QMail is because the default mail client always uses a data connection rather than WiFi, is there a way to change this?
