has anyone else been having trouble with sending emails that have attachments via IMAP on their gmail account?
they all send, but they take forever. even if it's just a picture that's a few hundred k. it'll take up to 10 minutes sometimes. i've only tried it with an edge connection, but still, sending the same picture as an MMS doesn't take more than a few seconds.
this doesn't seem right.

I've been having problems receiving MMS messages. (Not receiving ANY MMS messages) For a long time I thought it was a minor network issue cause I don't do MMS messaging much. But last night my wife tried to send me 2 photos that she took with her phone and she sent the messages both to my cell and to my email address. I received the emails but never received anything on my phone. I tried sending her an MMS and it worked just fine.
So to sum up:
Sending MMS...OK
Receiving MMS...WhAt?
I'm running Stock Rom 6.1 (-Bloat)
Noob Here-Same Problem
I've got an AT&T Tilt. I wasn't having any problems at all sending or receiving MMS until I upgraded (yeah right) to WM6.1. Now even with the correct settings from the AT&T HTC support page, I still can't get MMS from anyone. I did do the hard reset to remove the bloatware from my phone, but other than that, no tweaks, just a stock ROM. Is there something I may have inadvertently removed that I needed? Any help will be appreciated.
M.M.
I dont know if there's something wrong with my phone.
Because everytime I send a MMS.
It says "Message Sent"
But then they sometimes receive it.
But most of the time they dont.

Just for clarification, is it an issue of the recipient not receiving it at all or not being able to open the mms? I'm also with att and can't count how many times I've sent mms only to hear my buds tell me they either couldn't open it or had no audio, which is very ****ing annoying when you play the sent message and it plays as intended. From all the fixes I've found on xda, still having this issue from the hermes days and wondering if apple is not so crazy for nixing mms for email; at least the email method is consistant. If your recipients aren't receiving at all though, there are alot of factors involved; your mms settings, recipient has no internet...
Hi, have been trying to solve this issue for a couple of days now, basically i can receive attachments; save them etc, but when it comes to sending or forwarding the email on it wont send, any idea why?and if there is a way to fix it?
the files are small, even a pic i took on the phone doesnt work.
any help would be appreciated.
Just wondering if anyone else has problems with sending or recieving picture messages. It's hard to tell what the culprit is. I'm using Handcent now, but I noticed it with the stock SMS client too. Does anyone else have a problem, or is it possibly because I live in an edge area? Thanks.
I've read lots of posts where people cannot send MMS larger than 100k on an Edge network but have no problems on 3G.
As for receiving, I've had issues with receiving MMS from my friends that have iPhone4. They send me one and I get no notification whatsoever that they even tried to send it to me until they send me another text asking, "did I get it?" I've tested it by receiving MMS from Samsung Eternity, iPhone 3GS, and another ATT non-smartphone and I've received the messages fine. So far, just problems with iphone4.
Also, I don't receive MMS if I'm on wifi.
I have a kingo rooted mj5 note 3. It was working fine until one day it stopped receiving pictures. When someone sends a picture and i click download, it will take a minute to try to download it then say "Error: Network error has occured". Then when i try to send a picture it tries to send it for like 10 minutes then quits with an error. Ive tried rebooting my phone, ive tried resetting my APN to default, my mobile data packets are on, ive tried using 3rd party mms apps, auto retrieve text messages options is on. Any suggestions?
I have found the problem? It was the Adblock Plus on my phone. I deleted it, then sending and receiving pic texts start working again. I get curious and install it again, and try to send a pic text and bam it wont work. Guess now i gotta put up with ads in exchange for pic messaging, damn.
It's because ad block plus uses a proxy. Use Ad Away.
