commanager: bluetooth toggle to be discoverable - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

is there any way that when we toggle the bluetooth it will be discoverable? not only turning it on, so i dont have to enter BT setting and tick the "make my device discoverable"
with wireless manager in O2 atom, when we turn on the BT it will be already discoverable.

i dont know the tweak, but why would u want to do that? it will drain your battery, and make your device vulnerable...
you tired of going to connections tab then bluetooth?
why not try to use the bluetooth icon on the tray bar?
I'd like to start bluetooth with my profilesprogram (PPC PRofiles). It works well turning bluetooth on, but it doesn't turn on the visability. And i want it to do both at the same time.
Found the solution in the PPC Profiles program itsselve.

Make Bluetooth Discoverable by Default

Is there a way to make Bluetooth default to being discoverable everytime it is switched on?
I use SPB Phonesuite to have a WIFI/Bluetooth/Flight mode toggle on the today screen, but the only way to switch BT on and make it discoverable is to go through settings>connections or through the comm manager.
I normally have BT switched off to conserve battery power but when I do switch it on, it is normally to transfer files from my PC/laptop so needs to be discoverable.

BT Headset Pairing Issues

I can not pair my BT head set i-Tech R35 Clip to my new TD2, i get to the enter password part but they do not pair off. I have put the BT head set in to pairing mode.
Does anyone have any advise to get me paired off.
Thanx and regards
Chris
Pairing BT
there is two places you can pair your topaz with a BT headset.
1) link in comm manager over BT, not the switch part at the far right, but the bar where it says bluetooth. it'll take you to a screen where you can pair a headset.
2) in settings in the conection tab under bluetooth (or comm manager, BT and advanced), which is a multi tab that shows you the deviced paired, connected allow you to be discoverable the ports you created etc...
my point is for headset i have had problems conecting thru the advanced menu (2) but it worked thru the Comm conection, i don't even have to enter the key, it seems like it tryes 1234 0000... so i recommend going to the option 1, and there pairing your headset.
the other thing i noticed is when you pair a device, if you got the wrong key on the first atempt even if you enter the right one after it will not pair, so the solution is pressing back refresh and connect again and then enter the right key.
at least it worked for me
cheers
Timothy
Thanx for your guide, unfortunately it still will not connect. either option 1 or 2. I tried entering the pass code 0000 but it fails to connect and says the pass code was incorrect. If i try the option of no pass code it says it has connected, however the BT headset does not respond with hte usual 5 x flashes of the LED.
I still can not get connected :-(

GNS TrafficBox Plus FM9BT-C to autoconnect

I have paired this and it works perfectly if you manually connect to the Serial Port (COM2) but I would like to launch bluetooth and it automatically connect if it is available.
Is this possible on the widcom stack without a mortscript.
Thanks,
Bluetooth won't know it's in range unless Bluetooth is turned on!
If bluetooth is turned on, it'll automatically connect anyway.
I've got a bluetooth FM transmitter for the car, and what I do is use G-Profile to turn on Bluetooth if the phone is on external power (when I connect it to my car charger). Works well, and would do the trick for what you want, I imagine.

[Q] Bluetooth auto connect question?

Hello everyone. Quick question, using null ROM and have Bluetooth auto connect on my phone. When I go out of range it does not reconnect, am I missing a setting?

Gear manager should reconnect your phone without the need of Bluetooth auto connect..... the only thing I'm using that app for is a tasker profile to turn on Bluetooth tether on on the gear combined with a message to the phone to turn it on via secure settings.
Thanks, I should have mentioned I am not using gear manager. Is that the only way to reconnect when it gets out of range?
I use the app "Bluetooth Auto Connect". In the events section in it's setting I've got "Bluetooth On" and "Screen On" selected. In profiles I've got "Networking (PAN)" ticked and in Devices, if I select the phone I've paired it with I've got "Networking (PAN)" ticked in there as well
When my phone gets back in range of my phone it auto reconnects and I can get online from the watch.
I'm not using gear manager at all
