does anyone know how to remap what the keyboard does when it opens/closes. I would like it to shut it to shut down the application when i close it i.e. emails/sms
Is there a way to disable the screen orientation change when you slide the keyboard out on the tilt. I have a hard time using the on screen dialer and like to use the keyboard to dial however there is a good 1-2 second lag between when I slide the keyboard out and when I can start dialing. I'd like to disable the auto orientation and assign it to a button.

I am of the same mind - that would be a great. I also prefer to use the hard dialer, and typically keep the screen in landscape so there isn't any of the delay that the change of screen orientation would cause.
I would however prefer to keep it in portrait, but as of yet I have not found a way to do that.
Has anyone discovered how this could be done?

Sorry, my comment is: Wrong direction, you'd better solve this problem, rather than disable the keyboard screen orietation:

I'm using second today with the TwitToday plugin (http://dalelane.co.uk/blog/?p=244) but I can't type into it with my slide out keyboard.
Anyone have an idea what might be happening? The cursor is in the twit box but none of my keys work. (the windows key works though and the FN and CAPs light lights up.)
just turned off tf3d rodium manilla and tried the plugin in the acual today screen and it works with slide out keyboard.
What is causing it to not work with second today?
Has anyone modded the GB keyboard to enable the slide feature on the N1? By that I mean the capability to hold the # button, slide to the character you want and let go for it to return to the letters.
Does anyone know how to remove the bounce from home screen scrolling? I haven't been able to find any info and I really dislike it. Thanks.
