HTCCALENDAR cannot be found

Sorry if this has been asked before or taken care of but I have searched and looked everywhere and cannot find it.
Well anyway as the subject describes, I get this error when I click on the calendar softkey in the left hand corner of the device. Anyone have any kind of fix for this??

i get this too!!
it's only since i've upgraded to the Cingular_RUU_Wizard_AKU2.3_Custom_RNG_THM_A2DP_TEST2 Rom... is it the same for you?
the calendar still works... just not the soft key function... i've changed it to messaging.. i'd like to know how to resolve though?

Search for HTCCalendar SoftKeys and be sure to select Posts instead of threads.
The answer is there in at least 3 or 4 thread already.

Do you have a file called "htccalendar.exe" in the Windows directory of you device?

Yes -- I have /Windows/HTCCalendar_836.exe and I also have /Windows/calendar.exe
I'm doing a workaround right now by having a shortcut through Spb Pocket Plus to my Today screen, so it's not like I can't use the calendar at all So -- not a "biggie", just an annoyance. . .

Which ROM are you using? I don't know why it would be called "HTCCalendar_836.exe " unless you're using a ROM from elsewhere. Try renaming it to "HTCCalendar.exe".

I'm using the Cingular_RUU_Wizard_AKU2.3_Custom_RNG_THM_A2DP_TEST2 ROM. I changed the "HTCCalendar_836.exe" to "htccalendar.exe" and now it's working fine.
Not sure why the file was misnamed, either. The only actual program installed on my 8125 is MS Voice Command 1.5 and IIWPO, which I found on these forums -- plus some "root files" for Sbsh Pocket Weather and OnCourse Navigator 5. Everything else is installed to my storage card, with shortcuts through the Spb Today plugin to open them.

HTCCaldendar is missing - HTC Touch 2007
I don't get rid of those error.
Dutch error... Dutch windows... on my mobile HTC touch!
What can I do?
I already tried to install a HTCCalendar.exe
I also tried to change the name into HTCCalendar_386.exe
Both don't work...
Please help me out!

HTC Home today plugin - the last version released by schen, with all the fixes released after that, repacked to the one single cab file
It installs in its own directory, not into the Windows directory, thus not slowing system down
You can tune this great plugin using HTC Home Customizer (turning on/off tabs, sorting them, change icons, change clock's font etc.)

No, it's a "1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6" tabs version
As I said, use Home Customizer.

Hi guys,
I just installed the .cab. But I can not find a file to start-up HTC home.
Am I completly stupid because can't get it started??
Plz help, I do have still WM05 running, I do not know if this is a problem.

It's a Today screen plugin, you can turn it on in Today Items setup.

I also looked there, but I do not have anything there what looks like HTC.
Items I have are:
- Date
- Wireless
- Owner Info
- Messaging
- Tasks
- Calendar
- cLaunch
- TomTom
- Devicelock
Nothing related to HTC
I do have a HTC Home dir on the root, but there are only picture files..
Any suggestions???

It should be so
The program itself is in \Windows directory.

SR does nothing, I found the .exe file in the /windows dir.
However this gives an error for start...
I tried to re-install but this gives also no solution....

btw, Thanks alot for this version Utak3r! Works smooth on my device, and the customizer worx great!

Well, generally the main program file for a today plugin is a .dll file.
Hm, I was using Home under wm5, but an older version, not this one. It seems like this one is not working under wm5
I'll try to find an older version.

I just intalled the . cab, but can not find a file to start-up and in today screen let a blank space.

Hi. I know I'm gonna look a bit dim with this, and I have tried searching the forums but no joy so... How do I install this on my phone? Its an xdaii with WM2006. I've unzipped it and tried running the setup file on the pc and on the xda but IE stops it at first until told to let it run, then nothing happens and nothing happens when I run it on the xda either. Yes, I know the plugin is invisible when you not check the choice in Settings/Today/Items, but it's still there!
Is it possible to uninstall this plugin of the device?

If your running a cooked rom where HTC Home is "built in", then no. If you installed it on a shipped rom that doesn't have it "built in", then yes.

Nope sorry - easiest way would be a clean ROM w/o anything, gather dir info, install HTCHome and run a dif between the directories (mainly windows I guess).

Wow thanks a lot!
I was thinking about flashing to biggy then copy all the games to pc. Then reflash Open Touch slimline back this weekend. But you've save me!

No problem folks. Glad you are enjoying these. I am currently running 2.7 Biggy (installed because of games), but since I got almost all of them, I will be reflashing to slim or lite.

Which ones are you having problems with?

Free Cell
Here is just the plain .exe file for Free Cell. You can put it in your Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Games Run it from there.

mmc pacman didnt work for me and solitare showed up twice

does install but when I run it, says unsigned cert or something and doesnt open. Also the shortcut doesnt give an icon. but I got the cabs. you want the ppc_arm cab. The rest are for different devices.

I have downloaded the cab and it is telling me that I didn't purchase this game for this device. It is asking me for a registration code. Is there a registration code for this game?

Number Selector (My First App) and a flashlite app and a couple others too now lol

Ok I changed this to have a few of my first apps in it including some I thought was not worth putting in at first like a flashlight app makes you screen bright white so that you can use your phone as a mini flash lite in dark rooms, and you double click teh screen to exit right the app cause it runs in fullscreen, right now now it doesn't change your backlight level, but it still helps. also there is a number selector, you can decide a minamum number and a max number and it will pick a random number in beetweens thse when you click the button on the window, and also a test to see how fast you can tap the screen lol
Even though I had absolutely no problems and dont think it is even possible for something like this to do any damage to a phone I am not responsible for anything I just made this app because I like xda and want to help as much as I can.
btw I really would appreciate feedback
I will try to post more pics later for the new programs I forgot to take them
OH and almost forgot they will all be in program files not the start menu

Strange... What browser / OS are you using? Was there any error message? Did the "Manage Attachments" window show the file at the top after the upload complete?

oh I was clikcing the wrong file lol sorry I uploaded it now.

sorry I made some last minute changes before I posted it and didnt test it so if you donwlaoded it earlier it wont work lol but now it will I tested it too

Not working for me either, if I go to file explorer, my device, program files, I can see them all, but when I try to open them it says "This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device." Then says quit on the bottom right.

Try installing the MS .net Compact Framework 3.5 and try again.

sorry this took so long lol I gave up hope anyone would actually click on that thread lol but yes there is a software, I use microsoft visual studio, and it does require some knowledge of codes but there are books and guides to help u learn and I think almost anyone in the world is capable of learning but I dont try that hard so Im not that good but my pc apps are alot better. BTW In visualk stuidio you can use the same language for phones as pc's I use visual basic
