Hello, my name is Brian, im in Arizona. Today i found out that it seems when people call me it just gives them a fast busy signal and thats all, it does not ring or go to voicemail, just an instant fast busy signal. but i am able to call out still just fine and im able to send and receive text msgs. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows anything about it. before i have to call TMO for the issue. My phone im using is a Black HTC Dream / G1. This is my day to day phone not my root phone. any help or advice would be great. thank you in advance for your time and help.
Brian.

I'm not aware of any setting that will do that... have you tried putting your simcard in a different phone? If it does the same thing with a different phone, then it is definitely a service provider issue.
Edit: seems like the right section to me
I got a picture message from a friend today. I go to download it, i left it for 5 mintues and nothing. 74kb file. Does anyone else have this problem? is there a fix for it?
A little more info would be nice, like Carrier, also if your apn settings are correct for your carrier etc... HAve you tried a wipe? have you tried reflashing the rom?
Ive had problems with some roms that were easily corrected by reflasing.
Sorry.
Tmobile google g1 um I would haven no clue about the apn settings. Sorry noob at this.
I will try reflashing the rom. I was trying to avoid that in fear that I would loose the text message.
If you're a noob, use CyanogenMod, not some mixed rom.
So i went to cyromod 6 today. And its the same thing. BUT I can receive pictures from other people. Just not my gf's phone. I'll get more info about her phone in the morning.
do you get normal messages from her? maybe you have her blacklisted? it sounds like a carrier or apn problem maybe...
Actually i figured it out. Alot of late night google. If i have wireless turned on I can not send or receive mms messages. But if I turn it off, and with out a data plan I can send and receive them.
Only thing I noticed. A picture she sent me last night, fails to download now that i figured this out. But just might be that it was sent while wireless was on.
Maybe theres another fix around this. But thats what I figured out.
I've got a G2 and the OTA that was pushed at the beginning of November gave me a much needed function for wifi calling when I am in Manila, which is every couple months. My coworker has the Galaxy S and is in Manila now and wants to know if his phone has the functionality. I haven't been able to find anything on it being part of the stock functions, so I'm asking here. His phone isn't rooted or hacked in any way, so I'm just wondering if it is something he would have received an update for, or if it would have to be rooted first? Thanks in advance? I tried a search, but wasn't able to find what I'm looking for. If you know of a thread I can send him to, that would be great too. Thanks again!
Can anyone help me on this? I don't have the phone near me, so I can't verify the settings. I wouldn't ask if I was able to find out any other way, but searches aren't coming up with anything. Too many posts on wifi to find something on wifi calling.
I don't think there are any stock apps that let you do wifi voice calling. However, you may want to give skype a try. I managed to get it working with voice but there is no video calling yet. Maybe in the future.
apparently the new froyo build being pushed or the tmobile vibrrant has a wifi calling app.. can anyone get it so we can get it working on our galaxy s'
thanks in advance
Try "Tango" app (your coworker has to install "Tango" aswell).
Try CSipSimple, and sign a voip plan, like justvoip. Setup your sip number and enjoy, works very well here.
Sent from my GT-I9000B using XDA App
http://www.rebtel.com/en/ works for me.
Hey guys. I know a while back this was discussed here. But did anyone here of a fix or way around this issue? I hate having to check the box to turn data on when roaming. It does this on its own and then if I dont check, i wouldnt get my texts. Any help would be great. Thanks..
