Does anyone know which chipset the Tilt uses and which driver?
EDIT: Disregard

I have read that yes the Kaiser infact has HSUPA which is the new Upload speeds coming out from AT-T soon. SO i went and bought a Kaiser straight from HTC and on the box it says that it only has HSDPA NOT HSUPA... So maybe pof or someone that has better knowledge of the radio please settle this little debate i am having in my brain....
According to this QUALCOMM WEBSITE:
http://www.umtschips.com/products/msm7200_chipset_solution.jsp
The chip is HSUPA compatible. Whether or not it is enabled in the phone may simply be a matter of a hack, just the HSDPA was on some firmwares on the first TyTN!
Furthermore, its Cat 8 HSDPA (7.2mbps), Cat 6 HSUPA (5.76mbps)
hsupa-support has actually been there in the original qtek-specs, but got removed later:

As many of you may have already noticed, many of the Diamond's spec sheets say that the device's radio is capable of operating in all bands. Official word is that the device is tri-band (America or Europe). Is this limitation based on the settings for the rom or radio.
In other words, is it try or quad physicaly? And if it is, is somebody going to release a cab to enable it?
Regards,
OB
The chipset is capable of using other bands, but there is no antenna for these other bands. I am about 80% sure that in that case calibration data for the other bands will be missing in the Radio, and those bands will therefore be disabled.
Hi,
A shop sold me one of the India Airtel model Diamonds but told me it was a retail version so I am kind of in a pickle.
Can I enable the 3G with a radio upgrade? Or is it an actual hardware difference with these model phones.
Any help is greatly appreciatd. I am stuck with this thing in a country where I need the 3g to even use the phone... ack....
Sorry u cant use 3G cause the chip & processor is different, it does not have a 3G chip, hence the processor in 3G models named MSM7201A and in Indian model the chip name is MSM7206A (= MSM7201A minus 3G chip) Read Worldwide websites and compare with Indian Website diamond specs...
That makes it very clear. Thanks for your advice.
Very Good information !!!
I have both a US and Euro Antenna (hardware) but only a Euro Diamond
I've tried to put the US Antenna into the Euro Diamond but I can't seem to get a 3G Connection. I'm wondering if their is more to it than just the antenna and maybe the processors actually differ in some way
I'm using the 1.0.25.05 Radio (I saw the Rogers Diamonds had this Radio installed)
Can anyone help and let me know if the problem is with the Antenna or with my euro Processor
and if this is even possible

I am not sure, but I guess the bands difference is in the Qualcom chip, on the crystals (curated for different bands)
Can anyone with the SM-G998W model (Canada) tell me if it's supposed to have dual frequency GPS? Mine doesn't, and also seems to have a very limited number of satellites supported.

Specs say, it has GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO.
That's it.
As far as the specs go, I'm not seeing any BD satellites. And I don't think the specs would specifically mention dual frequency GPS.
I'll answer my own question. Yes, Canadian version (SM-G998W) does have a dual frequency GPS chip in it. Seeing both L1 and L5 satellite frequencies.
