Hi,
I have used IM+ in UIQ based device. For my Kaiser, i use Fring!
In my opionion, Fring works better than Skype for Skype calls
Gtalk works fine too.
Can anyone share some points if IM+ has something extraordinary than Fring?
Well, Fring has no support for Yahoo messenger (WinMo 6) yet.. Any others??
Slick is great, but not voice calling like you want.

I kind of like AgileMessenger, because it doesn't do weird scrolling like IM+ does on the Kaiser/TyTN, and it allows me to send pictures via IM.
Never heard of Fring before now, though. I'll have to go check that out.

Hi guys!
Is there a working H.323 client that works with Kaiser?
I would like to connect to company's PBX, and damn /// still support only H.323, not SIP in this sw version.
Netmeeting is working fine on my laptop, so I hope to find something for the Kaiser as well.
Thanks,
T.

Not really seen anything specific but this may whet your whistle!!!
http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/12/windows-ce-6-0-r2-to-support-videoconferencing/
Windows CE is the base core of our system so it all filters down.
Thanks mate, but I hope of finding something sooner than the new M$ release of operating system and video conferencing. All I would really like to see is plain VoIP client that supports H.323 beside SIP.
I do know that Ericsson has developed clients that work with their PBXs using H.323 protocol, but they are developed for their smartphones using Symbian (P990, P1...)
T.
Not exactly sure what functionality you're after... but I thought Skype has conferencing features.. and it's free.
I don't know if you already looked on the internet for software, but I found this app: SJ Phone
More info is to be found on their site:
SJphone® is a VOIP softphone that allows you to speak with any other softphone running on a PC/PDA, any stand-alone IP-phone, or using Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) with any traditional wired or mobile phone. It supports both SIP and H.323 standards and is fully inter-operable with most major VOIP vendors and ITSPs.

I haven't used it, so I can't confirm it works on the Kaiser. But I suggest you give it a try.
Good luck!
I've flashed my Tilt with the Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid ROM, and I was wondering if there is a Yahoo Messenger cab for the ROM?
check yahoo messengers website .. they have it there. install and let us know how it works out
You can also shoose from Slick, Palringo, and Jivetalk (there are more). I personally have switched to Jivetalk and it's working great.

The one that they have doesn't include (do) messenging. (ie IM) it does allow to read the e-mail. There is also a beta 3.0 that's out but it isn't developed yet for WM devices, hence the interface isn't touch screen. I have installed successfully on my tilt but since then have removed it. I too, like jive talk simply because of the bubble chat experience.
Have tried Agile messenger but $ 49.00 for IM when there are many free ones is rediculous.
If any one wants I can post a copy of the yahoo cab both 2.0 and 3.0 beta.
Im using slick and it works very well , has an unsharpen effect like windows vista and works fine with keyboard and touchscreen , an its free
I use the SMS version of Yahoo, just like AIM. Works fine.
Wow. Thanks for the JiveTalk Program. I've been using Palringo. Looks boring ass hell, groups were cool at first but then I never use it. Jivetalk is more colorful and looks great. Thanks for that recommendation.
why whould you use yahoo messenger

Dude relax and search.
Use Fring (free and works great) while Skype Corp. Designs skype that will work for WM6.1. Its not about the Diamond.
thanks both of you, i´ll try that app.
Ive tried Fring and I can confirm it does indeed work very well.
I use it for logging into Skype and its excellent. Thatll do for now! (personally I think its better than skype, doesnt seem to be as resource intensive)
Spot on! Cheers!
im posting with my diamond & using fring in the background. it's working great.love fring & love my diamond even more!

Palringo is the best balance of power management/features.
Beejive messenger is also very nice, but it sucks the battery down right now. It is still in beta right now.
IM+ is also a decent messenger app.
does anyone know of an instant messegner that works over wi fi?
They should all work as well over Wifi as over GSM connection.
so Palringo for the win???? lol.. so what does everyone use? time to list! hehe

Oz is the only one i know that doesn't actually, all the ones i mentioned will work via wifi
I like octrotalk it works with AIM, Yahoo, Google, MSN etc. Its nice and doesn't eat up much resource or power and its FREE.

Fring!!! i love it! works with all the IM's (and skype)
http://www.fring.com/
yes another instant messenger topic...anyways, palringo is still the best out. i just wish meebo would hurry up and release a version for windows mobile. its stupid when you think about it that they released a version for the ipod touch and iphone, but wont release it for winmo...which still has a HUGE handset market share. yes, i'm still pissed.
wap.whizzper.com
works thru Java, but pretty nice app. doesnt support landscape very well!
Fring Is Awesome
Try fring from fring.com.
Supports voice +chat for the most of the messengers with multiple id support.
Its light weight works over wifi, 3g and GPRS.
Thanks
Pankaj
Fring is nice, but unfortunately it fails on most WM6.1 ROMS. They're aware of it and say they're "working on a solution"
Palringo???
I have the latest version of Plaringo (with the location "feature"), but it only works over wi-fi. What do I need to do to get it to work over t-zones gprs?

It seems you can have audio/video chat with it.
Can you confirm it?

I've noticed that Palringo won't initiate a connection itself for some reason (at least on my ROM), and won't "pick" it if connected after Palringo was launched. I need to do something like check e-mail first so that the phone connects to GPRS, then I can open Palringo and it's OK. But it still disconnects and reconnects once in a while for no reason, and I hate the "close chat" on the right softkey. I happen to hit it by mistake way too often and closing the window when I still have messages to read. Same goes with OK button/the X button, so it's hard to minimize without closing the window (need to either use the red key to go back to Today screen or switch tasks with a task manager).
Jivetalk hands down for me. The only problem with it is that they haven't updated in months which is kind of annoying especially because the program has so much potential.
beejive is the best i've had so far love it use it erryday =] it looks wonderful fast and it has a good interface very smooth
Best Instant Messenger
i would def have to say jivetalk BY FAR. it shows if someone is on mobile. shows full away messages. lets you setup custom away messages. ichat bubbles and sounds. tells you if the person is idle. lets you customize sounds, vibrates,. etc. ONLY thing is it drains out my battery in 3 hrs!
Jivetalk / bejive ftw... Fring is ugly and slow, palringo doesn't support groups (one group for all msn users and all my icq groups)....
and btw. wow, 3 hours o0 my kaiser runs a whole day with bejive logged in.
Slick is the best for me... www.lonelycatgames.com
Hi everyone. I downloaded fring from their site and installed it. the application opens half way and then hangs. i would appreciate your help. thanks
I use fring almost everyday and have used it on many different roms. This is the cab that I use for it. I've uploaded it to my online drive. This link will be active for a week after that it will expire.
I hope it works for you.
what is fring?
Re: fring
fring is basically a IM-combo software that supports Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Skype, ICQ & others IM.

the link is bad
can you post the cab? or send me another link? thanks

I just downloaded Fring from their site the other day and it works fine with my set-up. To tell you the truth though I been using slick from www.lonelycatgames.com and it seems to use less resources and has a better UI in my opinion.

The current version has problems with some WM6.1 ROMs. They are aware of it, but aren't officially supporting 6.1 yet.

I've got the stock ROM as well, and have tried installing it twice with no luck. It acts like it is trying to connect but never does. Palringo works fine, but I wanted to try this out because everyone seems to like it. I guess I'll wait until they get the 6.1 issues ironed out.
same problem here on htc diamond 6.1
it gets stuck in loading..

Got the cab and installed on my tilt and g/f touch diamond. She has the default rom which came with it. My Tilt has now gone back to Orange default rom.
Fring seems to work fine so far on both although we have yet to use all the options and at present, only use the messanger part.
