awesome software, but doesnt a hard reset essentially kill it off? or is there a way to have the program install upon a hard reset? now THAT would be killer! Or to somehow build it into the rom itself so that only someone that actually installs a whole new rom on the device can bypass the security

Hmm, dunno. I sent an email, and like an hour later i recieved an email with the key in it. I installed the demo and input the key, and got an invalid key error! maybe i gotta wait a while for the key to register in their system.
well Ive sent my request. Maybe its got to be validated or you put the code in wrong
Nick already sent me my code (within a few hours). Very fast and nice service so far. For those who haven't received it, make sure you check your spam folder.
Every request till now has been replied to. If you get invalid product key error while activation please try again and note that the product keys are case sensitive.

This is the slickest installation of any program I've seen. Very nice interface and overall well executed.
If ROM Chefs were to cook this in their ROMs to protect against hard reset (assuming a thief would be that saavy), how would the user entered phone numbers be stored? Would there be a utility for this?
it would be impossible unless u cook your own rom with your own password. Even if the chefs integrate this with the rom, once you do a hard reset, your info is erased anyway and the program still stays. So just cross your fingers that the their doesnt know how to do a hard reset using the sequence of buttons simultaneously. In the mean time, edit the registry and take out the clear storage icon in system panel

Start, Settings, System, Device Information... Call Duration. How do you wipe those figures from your handset folks? Must be a way somehow but how?!
Please gimme a clue cus i'm trying to sell my handset 'as new' and even though i've only used the phone for about 2 hours total, in and outgoing, it'd still be nice to have no comebacks with it.
Besides... someone else might need this info for some other reason to so if you know... shout loudly please!!!!!!!!
By the way... ROM changing doesn't do a thing. Looks like it's part of the handset's brain so... well i dunno now actually! HELP!!! lol

These do the following
[email protected]?1 - Shows Outbound time in HEX
[email protected]?0 - Shows Inbound time in HEX

You might need security unlock or Hard SPL at least to do this.
So if you have HardSPL already, you possibly need security unlock. Security unlock is still been worked on at the moment, so you could be stuck for a while.
Sorry, but I don't own a Blackstone to test on.

What I am trying to bring to this thread is a bit of ethos and concern for the guy to whom you will flock your wears. 3 days or 133 days you have no right to clock it and present it for something it isn't. It is also illegal.

Illegal? Well 2 things.
1. As you'll have noticed, i'm new to all this side of things as far as XDA goes so i was unaware of that.
2. Tell that to everyone else and quit hassling me.
The ethics and ethos of this have been discussed everytime a thread like this is started.

As of right now, I've not seen an option to invite folks. I got mine a few days ago via signing up on the Google Voice site. It'd been about a month or two since I had last signed up to test it. I've had numerous folks asking me for an invite, but unlike Gmail, I've not seen an invite feature. Guess you just have to be patient until Google picks you.
I'm a GC/GV beta tester, and one of the option's it shows in the control panel is Tell A Friend. I've never used it, and it's not very descript at all. I don't know if this feature will get you an immediate acct or just have you sign up to be notified whenever it does go out beta. I'll be glad to give it a try if want. Shoot me a private message msg here on XDA with your email address. It's worth a shot I guess.

Been a GC/GV bet bunny since GC popped into existence. Never seen that option to "tell a friend". Maybe I don't really have any friends? Or maybe its new? where are you seeing that, under Settings?
I was one of the first to sign up and I got mine a couple weeks ago, it doesn't appear that I have any invites to share but here is the link from Google.

I tried to register for invites (2-3 times maybe, since March or so, with different email IDs) and now it's July and I still got none from Google!
use a @gmail.com id for ur email, they usally give gmail people it first i didnt get one yet though.

Yes I did... At least 2 different @gmail addresses... But 4-5 months is a bit long time and kind of frustrating... Esp. it could be very useful for my line of work (if the features they promise are true) plus would make my G1 phone more of what it should be...

I'm in VoIP / 3G / satellite business and yes it's kind of a drug I guess. Especially I am addicted to my G1. I'll seek professional help, I swear.
I just got my invite on Thursday, applied back in March with a gmail address. I have been using PF Visual Voicemail and it's been great, but the Google service is clearly better for those us running most of our email/phone/messaging lives via Google. Hope you get your invite soon, it's definitely a winner!
Anyone know if a Google branded app will be released soon? The GV app is good, but I'd love to have another option as well.

So, this morning I finally received the official Google Voice invite from Google.
Now, imagine my absolute joy and relief, that after waiting for it since March (!) I click on the link in that email only to see
"Google Voice is not available in your country.

Yeah I signed up two days ago. Hopefully we will receive download links within the next week or so. But this looks perfect for me. I've already done some of this building block programming with vB express. Its easy and fun to mess around with for sure.

After fill out the request form they say couple of weeks, as i know Google it means 2-3 weeks... So next or overnext week it should be there. Depending on how many ppl they want invite and how many have signed on...

From reading the site with all the information and such i dont think its something you download, but more of a browser based tool. Not quite sure how that would work... But it did say in the browser. Chrome extension maybe?
And if you watch the video they are doing it from within the browser. So no download. Im assuming that its not open to anyone because the site says to go to the website that we sign up at. So when we start seeing a log in button there, we know were in business.

I received one beta key and am not interested in trying it as it's only available for Windows ATM. If anyone would like it, PM me. I'll edit this post once I've given it to someone.

FINAL EDIT: As many have noticed this thread is/has been very dead. First off, I tried to have someone on the mods to get this account of mine shutdown. That did not work as you can tell, but when that did not work I decided to just ignore this whole thing all together Second, this operation was not a man job as I was simply a middle man for a woman who wanted to help people but needed a hand. I was simply taking the info and spreading it to her. As popularity grew in the thread more and more requests came in and queue times were going to take longer and longer to fulfil. At some point I decided to give her access to my account because I was getting busy at my job and had no way to constantly upload new information to her so we could continue. This would give her a way to look into my messages and gather some info when she had her own time. I have no knowledge of what happened since, except for a few replies I would see that she made with my account. I would imagine over time she finally stopped or got caught since this thread and my messages are finally dying off. I do apologize if you were not helped but thankfully someone at some point during this period offered help in their own way too. So, THANK YOU GUYS for all the patience you gave, and I hope you guys enjoy the root or unlocked bootloader that you got because of this post.

That's my favorite part about all of this! She doesn't try to pressure you into any donations or payment! It's fantastic honestly. Now I have to wait either for the token, or for the msm tool to be cracked for tmo conversion.

Not that I wouldn't want to do this as I prefer root on any device I have, but as someone who used to work for tmo if she gets caught she could definitely lose her job. I agree with the others you should probably take down the post

She isnt doing anything against policy, T-Mobile reps have a lot of leeway with regards to the unlock policy, I have gotten 'manager overrides' to unlock for basically every single tmo device I've ever had since the note5. All I've ever had to do was call customer care. Although this time I pm the aforementioned user because I didn't want to wait on hold until I get a rep that would finally understand how to get it done.

Or simply waiting for the patched MDM tool and convert to international so you can unlock bootloader without needing:
1. TMobile
2. Unlock key
I understand the views behind the idea of donations. It was never mandatory. If you don't wish to, you don't have to. Simple as that. Either way it's someone going out of their way in our community, to help us out. They at least deserve a thanks of any kind.

Dre is 100% right. My wife is a supervisor in a TMobile call center and the user doing this would 100% lose her job if caught. There is a big difference between getting an override from a supervisor and going into someone's account the way she is. Due to Port out fraud T-Mobile has placed many safeguards on accounts. One of those being pin number/password for the account. Going into someone's account without having it verified through T-Mobile's policy is 100% enough to get her fired no questions asked.
Don't get me wrong I think it's awesome that she's unlocking phones for people but the way she is doing it she would 100% lose her job if her name got out.
So for those who thought the Pm's did not go through... They did lol. I just woke up and updated the info for the person to unlock everyone's devices. Please note it may take some time, who knows how busy a work day could be for them. If it is any help, when I originally requested mine, I did so at 10pm (around then) and it was done the following day around 4pm. So thank you for all of your patience! I made sure a mod was contacted so they could get rid of anything with the previous links, or mentions of said individual.
just did mine, literally look an hour.
Yeah let me tell you. She is fast! A few errors for only 2 people that I know of so far. So they are looking into those. A few others did not show up in the system yet. So they are going to check tomorrow and I will keep you guys posted via PM about that.
