Turn off vibration - HTC Wings

Hello, could someone please tell me how to turn off the vibration when I get a voicemail while the profile is set to silent? I have everything set to "silent" or "off" and the phone still vibrates. Thanks!
Also, posted earlier, when I follow the regedit instructions to disable the beep when making a call, the initvol value resets to 2 after a few hours. Suggestions?

Isnt there an option somewhere in the sounds / alerts menu to choose who you get alerted for spacific things?

go to settings -> phone and set it to "Ring" instead of "ring and vibrate"

I dont see that option under phone, and in sounds I only have vibrate or ring not the two together. Different area or sub menu?

Kaiser to Ring & Vibrate same time

Kaiser has 4 ring modes,
Normal Ring, Vibrate Ring, Slient Ring & Automatic Ring
How do i switch to a ring mode that allows for kaiser to both Ring & Vibrate same time?
You should be able to set this in Settings -> Phone. If not, download KaiserTweak. It has an option to set the ring type.
i have stock att tilt and it comes with that option. dont see a reason why yours do not. strange. for my phone it is located:
settings > personal > phone
there will be several tabs, the first tab PHONE is where you change ringtypes. i have ring, increasing ring, ring once, vibrate, vibrate&ring, vibrate then ring, and none.
if that doenst work, try kaisertweak as suggested above.

2 Questions regarding vibration and ringing

Hey,
I´m having a little problem: I´ve set the phone to vibrate when an email arrives (in the sounds menue). Also the phone is set (via the buttons on the left side of the case) to only vibrate when a call or an email arrives.
The vibration alarm works when the phone is on. But if the phone is in the sleep mode (display is turned off), it doesn´t vibrate at incoming emails.
What am I doing wrong here?
Secondly I´d like to know if there´s a way to e.g. let the phone only vibrate on system events and to let it actually ring, when a call is incoming.
As far as I can see, I can only set it to vibrate in both cases.
Thanks for your hints,
Thilo
Ok, Question #1 is solved:
is seems that the phone/os can only execute one option at a time: either ring OR vibrate. Now, if you have marked both, playing a sound and vibrate, the last marked item wins.
E.g. if you first click on "playing a sound" (I don´t know what it is called exactley in the english os version) and then on vibrate, the phone vibrates when e.g. an email is received and vice versa.
But how about the two different settings for "System" and "Ringing"? Is it possible to set "System" to vibrate and "Ringing" to a certain volume level? I talk about doing this with the volume up and down buttons?
so long,
Thilo

Captivate only vibrates when receiving an SMS!!

It will not make a sound whatsoever! Everything I try, it only vibrates. I do not have a single option for vibration enabled! I've tried changing various settings through the Settings/Sound and Display submenu, and I've even went into the SMS/MMS application and see nothing in there that is set to vibrate. I've tried my phone in Silent, and it's Silent. I've tried it in Vibrate, and it's Silent. Yet, when I up the volume to max, it vibrates. Anything between Vibrate and Max Volume, the phone vibrates. Anybody have any ideas?
Have you checked to see if theres a notification/text ringtone enabled? It's possible to set the ringtone to "Silent," while having all of your volumes turned up.
If that doesn't work also try a factory reset
from the initial messaging screen click the menu button, settings, scroll to the bottom, there is a notifications settings section, make sure you've got a ringtone selected in there & if you dont want the vibrate in addition, uncheck vibrate.
The ringtone is set to tweeters and the vibrate option is not ticked.

this is a bug I have had the same problem. I think it's when you get a text while your talking on your phone, but i'm not sure 100% But if you shut your phone off and turn it back on it will fix itself until it wants to do it again
The same thing as happening to me I shut it off and on several times and it still doesn't work help plz i have also uninstalled the music player and replaced it with another android music player maybe that's the problem?

[Q] Toggling Normal, Silent & Vibration Modes?

In Kit Kat, I held down the power key for a second and was then able to select different sound profiles depending on where I was.
In Lollipop, the only option I get is Power Down!
Have the toggles moved somewhere else?
They have been removed, the tap the bell icon in the volume bar (through the rockers), it will set to vibrate. And then, there is the priority settings to mess about - no silent mode, for now; perhaps on 5.1!
Cool thanks
Press one of the volume buttons. Then tap "None". That will set your phone for no interruptions which is what I'm finding to be silent mode. You can set some contacts to have a priority and use the priority setting to allow certain contacts to still ring.

Note that this will only work until the next time Moto Voice is invoked (purposely or accidentally); then the phone will set the ringer volume to 60% and leave it there.
WTF?

Yeah, I think that's clearly a bug. Hope they can fix in next release.

phone changes settings too easily

So my pixel 4 5G mutes my sounds daily, will put me in do not disturb, airplane mode or whatever anytime it feels the urge, so it would seem. I've set the screen lock to immediately lock when I kill the screen but it hasn't helped. Do I need to set it to only come on when I press the power button to stop this? SO frustrating. Sure love the camera on this thing though!

Do you have any rules set to change your ring mode?

Ring mode? rephrase please. There's no such thing as a "ring mode". You may silence the ring tone, you may change the ring tone, you can turn up or down the ring tone volume, but there are no modes that I know of.

There are 3 ring modes:
Silent
Vibrate
Sound
I say "ring mode" because it's simpler than "volume, sound, and vibrate settings".
As for rules, check under Settings > System > Rules. You can create rules to automatically effect certain actions, such as changing your ring mode at a certain location or when connected to a certain WiFi network. Since my wife always puts her phone on Silent at work, I created such a rule on her phone so that she won't miss my calls when she's home.
Ah yes, of course, sorry. And that's what the phone does, is change my mode too easily. So I checked rules and there are none made. I was finally able to access my notifications while on car bluetooth though(car speaker would not voice notifications), found the setting to let the phone do the notifications in the car's bluetooth properties (Yay) And thanks for chiming in VOlatyle, appreciated. Thanks for your service as well. The odd thing about this is, my brother has the same phone purchased at the same time and it doesn't act like this. I may do a factory reset and reload it to see if that helps.
