Hey thanks for that. Just tried vtap and it's very well designed. Video quality does not seem optimized for high bandwidth/HSDPA but it's not too bad either.
Spoke too soon, just found the quality settings. Sweet!
Interesting about vtap
Is this a standalone application? or is it a web browser plugin?
Is this 3GP or FLV player? or both?
After you have installed, when you browse to YouTube mobile with your web browser and play it. Will the video be picked up by vtap automatically? Or is it still picked up by the HTC Streaming Media?
Last question, is it working with Wi-Fi as well?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions, not much info from the website.

Stand alone.
Far as I know you cant use it to play files Dled to your storage. Try TCPMP for that kind of thing (with the flv patch of course).
No you have to search for the video itself.
Works great with wifi
I tried to follow the tutorial on how to play youtube, downloaded the latest TCMP and plugins but when i try to play the video link in youtube site the streaming media player pops up. Has any of you guys got this tutorial down with our Kaisers?

Why do you prefer vtab for watching youtube?
Care to explain?

Nevermind. I finally got it to work. Thanks for the search function.

I have corecodec and tcpmp and vtap. I like vtap because I like the interface. Ability to change media settings and vtap is also free.
Has anyone tried blueapple.mobi, not an app but a website. It basically converts the media after you request for it, that does take a bit of time. But, what I like about it is that if I want to save the video I simply cut it out from my documents folder.

Is it possible to watch youtube videos on my tilt? i go to youtube.com and click on a vid and it says file type invalid and it's showing real player as the program to play the video, i downloaded TCPMP, went through all the instructions to get it set up correctly, but still the same thing, is real player the default program? if so how do i change that? so windows media or TCPMP is the correct one? thanks
Either get vTap (google it) or HTC Streaming Media. It has been posted here before very recently.

Couldn't i just make TCPMP or windows media player the default player? would that work? if so were do i make either one the default player, i couldn't find it in either program.
The HTC Streaming Media proggy will fix your problem. vTap is a self-contained app that pulls videos off google and youtube. Take yer pick.
just go to www.ytpocket.com it works the best out of all the you tube solutions ive tried
you just need tcpmp and flash bundle. Search on this forum. I've installed them and working youtube and all other flash base website playing fine on my tilt. Just browse through youtube, click on the video, tcpmp just opened by itself and play the video.
Thanks for the help, i've give these ideas a shot.
Tap http://m.youtube.com/ in your mobile browser. Vids will automatically launch in Streaming Media.
Anyone have a link to HTC Streaming Media download? i did a search but didn't see it.

that didn't work for me. Vtap however does work.
ive noticed that no matter what you install youtube will not work on some tilts
now i have the htc media player, i went to youtube.com, which takes me to m.youtube.com and i click on a video to see and it says failed to find network, it brings up the htc player now instead of the real player, but i get the same results and cant watch video, do i need to do anything w/the htc media player settings?

may be this link might help
ok, i've tried eveything mentioned here and some things mentioned on other threads and i still cant get youtube to work, the only thing i haven't tried is vtap and the only reason why is because when i go to install it on my TILT, i get an error that says " the file Vtap_pcc" can not be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's componets can not be found.
I deleted it from my tilt and tried it again, i made sure it was from the tilt selection on the vtap site, but still same error, Anyone able to help me with this, i've been working on this issue going on 3 days now.
also the error i'm getting when i go to youtube and click on a video link is "failed to conect to network" it opens up the streaming media player, and after about 5-10 seconds i get that error and it closes out.
did you find the HTC streaming media cab? That's what fixed it for me. vtap also works quite good.
I don't know if you tried the link I put above. Also look at this one: LINK
i used ytpocket on my wizard and now my kaiser. you can stream or download. works perfectly
I have HTC Streaming Media pre-installed on my Vario. I have since installed RealPlayer.
Now when I click on a YouTube video in IE nothing happens.
If I do it in Opera it tries to load the video in RealPlayer and fails with "Request failed".
How can I make the videos load in the HTC Player instead?
Ok I've got a tilt, so I've got the HTC Media player installed and I can now access m.youtube.com with no problems. However I would like to have access to the classic youtube.com however when I click a video it takes me to an error page saying to install flash player etc etc
What's the deal? Did I miss something? I thought the HTC player would handle standard youtube as well
Im on my XDA Stellar and I am connected to the internet via my wireless BT Home Hub router, I'm using IE on my phone and when I visit youtube.com and try to watch a video, it just comes up the Streaming Media and just says "Connecting..." for ages, nothing else comes up. Whats wrong?
install tcpmp and find that flashvideobundle cab around here and reset.use pie to search and start video playback
also give coreplayer a try, it is really easy to use
Follow the $

Yeah man i never got Youtube to work. I installed TCPMP and flash video, soft reset and nothing. I just use VTap. I can search for videos on youtube and watch them.
Look for VTap
All I do is win
I had the same thing. The streaming media player can't really be trusted for youtube it seems. I found a neat little program on the forum which plays youtube video's very well. It's called "Youtubeplay" and can be found here: LINK. I can now watch youtube in the train
I cant get the diamond to streame videos from the web.

You can not. It is disabled by Opera and cannot be reenabled.
Use Streaming Media Player, Youtube App bundled or check Menneisyys' Youtube Bible at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387986

You mean BBC's iPlayer? Pretty problematic as there's only a native player for iPhone - you'll need to rely on "hacked" links - see http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...N4&q=bbc+iPlayer+"windows+mobile"&btnG=Search

with a lot - use for example CorePlayer or WMP. If redirection doesn't work, use IEM instead.
