Bluetooth Wireless Stereo - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi folks,
I've successfully paired the Kaiser with a Blaupunkt car stereo, but my issue is that if I want to use it as a Bluetooth stereo, I have to delete the coupling and re-pair it every time I get into the car. Is there any way around this?
Cheers.

I have this problem with my Motorola Ht820 Headphones. I found that a solution for me is to leave my bluetooth ON. It must delete the settings when you turn bluetooth off or something.
Give it a go and let us know if that works. I know it's not the best way round it, but I've come to terms with it owning a Kaiser
EDIT: I think you can even turn off the phone, as long as you leave your Bluetooth ON, your Kaiser should re-sync OK without haveing to Re-pair.

As far as I can tell, the basic 'hands free' function is maintained when I reset either the phone or the car stereo, but the 'wireless stereo' function does not. This means that it activates when I make/receive a call, but not when I launch TomTom or Audio Manager. It's pretty inconvenient, eh?

Strange.... My Motorola headset retains it's wireless stereo function, as long as I keep bluetooth turned on...

Go into the bluetooth settings, do a right click (long hold tap), and "make this my wireless stereo" or something like that. Works everytime for me with my car stereo.

Problem with BT headset

This may have been talked about before but my search didnt come up with anything so i thought i'd ask
i have a sony bluetooth headset and when i make and recieve calls it works fine
when i listen to music it comes out of the speaker on the phone
i guess this is a known 'problem' .. is there a setting somewhere i need to set
thanks in advance guys
To get standard audio thru the headset it has to support Wireless Stereo otherwise it will only work as a voice command/phone unit.
If you have a BT headset such as the Promate PM-2006 (which looks like a small pair of headphones with a mike) when paired to the phone it will show two profiles, 'Hands Free' and 'Wireless Stereo'
To set up audio thru this headset you go to 'Settings' 'Bluetooth' 'Devices', hold the stylus on the paired device you want to use and select 'Set as Wireless Stereo from the small drop down menu.
yeah i have both wireless stereo AND hands free selected .. thats what was confusing
Just to be sure...
You need to select both profiles when you first pair it.
But every time you want to listen to audio through it you need to go and select it for 'Wireless Stereo'. The phone then connects to the headset for that purpose.
Hope that's clear.
cheers .. i'll take a look at that ..
seems a bit crap tho eh??
Same on all windows devices, you have to tell them to play the audio through BT whereas a phone is listening for a headset.
True, a quick connect button would be much more help and I am sure if you search around you can find one.
ive got a paitr of motorola ht820's they just automatically pair up and sort out the myusic and calls when i turn bluetooth on however, they dont play nice when wifi is turned on

Wireless sterto via bluetooth to car stero

Quite a while ago I bought a Sony BT3600U car stero as it was bluetooth enabled so I could stream music from my Kaiser direct to the car speakers.
All was working well until I moved the car stereo to my new car.
Now although it's all paired up fine when I turn on the car stero it just links to the handsfree bluetooth but doesn't automatically go to wireless stereo.
Instead to get the wireless stereo to work I have to go into bluetooth settings click on xplode (which is the car stereo) and then choose set as wireless stereo.
I know from before that I managed to get it to automatically switch to wireless stereo when in range of the partnered car stereo but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it.
Does anyone have any clues?
Sounds to me like it's an issue with the stereo, not the Kaiser.
Perhaps try disabling the handsfree service (for that pair) on the Kaiser? I can't remember exactly if you disable certain services.

I have an XCarLink and I have the same behaviour which is a bit annoying. I did a bit of searching a while ago but never got anywhere. If there is an (easy) answer to this I would be interested.
Andy
No it's def not the stereo , i've got it working sort of using A2DP toggle but it's not automatic.
Installed A2DP toggle and linked it to the audio manager on the kaiser.
So I just click the play button on my home screen and it kicks in the wireless stereo and launches the audio manager at the same time and it all works.
It's just annoying as I know that before I moved the stereo from my Honda civic to my hyundai Coupe all I had to do was just start audio manager and the wireless stereo kicked in automatically.
I've seen this too; I have a Sony BT5000 (basically the same as the OP), and I've seen it with both Wizard & Kaiser devices.
A bit more testing - expected behaviour?
I went out in the car earlier and had to do the 'set as wireless stereo' trick to get the BT streaming working with the XCarLink. When I switched off the engine and the head unit powered off the headset icon disappeared from the phone (which is normal) indicating there was no connection. I then left the car but left the bluetooth enabled on the phone instead of switching it off as I normally do. When I returned and drove off the partnership was re-established and the headset icon re-appeared and I was able to stream music etc without doing the 'set as wireless stereo' trick.
I tested this a couple of times and the behaviour was the same - i.e. leave BT enabled on the phone but switch on/off the XCarLink (car kit) and the partnership re-establishes each time with Wireless Stereo working. Switch BT off and then back on on the phone and you have to manually select Wireless Stereo.
Is this the expected behaviour or is there a trick to getting this working seamlessly?
Andy
That didnt' work for me. I even did a hard reset on my phone to see if there was something I had installed causing it not to relink.
If I had any hair, i'd be pulling it out by now
It's so frustrating knowing that I had worked it out once before but when it comes to the crunch you can't remember for the life of you how you did it.
Well i've been searching for an answer and found this here

There is a very simple fix to enable the Pioneer to recognise and connect to your phone. You see the Pioneer is searching for a phone or a Smartphone, the Trinity identifies itself as a PPC and so the Pioneer ignores it.
The Class of Device or CoD must be changed so that the Trinity identifies itself as either a phone or Smartphone.
If you change the Dword Data value in.... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\SY S\COD"
to 5374476 (decimal) and set bluetooth to discoverable in your Trin, you should find that it connects automatically.
It took me 8 months to find this out.
PS. I don't have the problem with not hearing the callers.

But it didn't work for me - on the plus side though I did find a really cool mortscript from the same guy which when I plug the kaiser into my car cradle/charger it recognises the car stereo (but doesn't set to "wireless stereo" and automatically loads up my media player
My search continues
EDIT: Ok found that once the initial partnership for wireless stereo is done, if I turn off the radio and turn it back on again, the partnership is lost as usual until I press channel 6 (pause) on my head unit and then it comes back on.

[Q] Auto connect A2DP

Is there an app for android to automatically connect A2DP when the handsfree connects?
I used to use an app called autoA2DP on win mobile.
At first pairing it connects both a2dp and handsfree, after that only handsfree connects automatically, any help would be appreciated as it's already driving me nuts....
Thanks!
- Anthony
Go to bluetooth settings, long press on the device in question, then options. Make sure Phone and Media are both checked.
Yep, they are... I can manually connect a2dp from both the car stereo and the phone, it just doesn't happen automatically like the handsfree does, had the same prob with windows mobile, but an xda dev user here developed autoA2DP to watch for a handsfree connection, then activate A2DP.
I don't know why yours is different, but mine auto connects for both every time I turn my Bluetooth headset on.
It does vary between headsets a bit. My Jabra Halo's connect automatically when I power on the phone or the headset. On the other hand my JBL Reference 610's had to be connected manually every time.
Still it seems odd though that is connects in handsfree and not A2DP, I always thought it was all or nothing. When a device connects it gives all available profiles and the phone decides what to accept. I don't know, sorry.
I have the same problem.. it does not auto connect with my car's bluetooth. The only way it auto connects is when I have the discoverable mode on (which has a limit of 116 secs or so). So an app that lets you be discoverable all the time would be great!

Same problem but reverse. My phone connects automatically to my phones music everytime i switch it on, however the more important headset/phone functions do not. I must manually disconnect and reconnect the stereo from within the phones bluetooth settings for both to work. Have looked through hundreds of threads found loads of people eith the same problem, yet no solutions. Would love an app to just disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth the moment it detects a paired device in range.... as yet found nothing...
Well... I'm getting the same.
I have LiquidAUX on my car and to have both phone and a2dp synced, I have to restart phone BT and LiquidAUX every time I go into car. And most of the times I can only have 1 connection each time, or phone is on and a2dp is off or a2dp is on and phone is off. It's really annoying since I had an HTC Hero with Android 2.2 and it used to work with no problems...
Hi guys,
Before one month I buy HTC Desire android and I have problem streaming audio through Bluetooth. I have connected the phone with my car and they are paired. Every time when I go in the car my phone is connected to the car Bluetooth automatic, but I'm not able to run A2DP.
I'm with latest Runney rom, before that I tested with MIUI XJ, but no success with both.
Can some one tell me if there is rom without these 2 issues - bluetooth auto connection and a2dp.
Thanks

Bluetooth and how it works with android

Hey guys got some questions concerning BT.
I have noticed that bluetooth doesnt always reconnect when it should. Or am i missing something here.
I have my phone paired with my stereo receiver in my car.
- I get in my car and turn on bluetooth. After about a minute my phone pairs with my car and everything is good. I can do calls, stream mp3's via BT and use Pandora as well. Now i stop at the gas station to get gas or whatever. I shut the car of there for breaking the bluetooth connection. Bluetooth is still enabled on my android. However when i start the car back up the phone will not connect to the bluetooth in the car unless i turn bluetooth off then on again.
I'm assuming this is do to some time out count in the BT stack? is there a way to edit something in order to make this auto connect? Any one with greater knowledge on the subject school me a little bit here?
Thanks!

Note 8 keeps trying to connect to another BT device

Situation:
when my NOTE 8 is connected to my LEVEL U PRO and i get in my car, phone continuously pups up a screen asking for a password for CAR AUDIO and a notification sound every minute, its disturbing...
(it keeps trying to connect to CAR BT even though they're UnPaired AND phone is still connected to LEVEL U Headphones)
when phone and car are paired, PHONE connects to both devices automatically and i dont want that so i UNpaired them.
my car BT is AlwaysOn and cant turn it off
Question: is there any way to stop this?
Is it possible that it's your car BT that is thinking "I was paired to the Note 8... ah, there is it, hey Note 8 why won't you talk to me?"
I would try flushing your car BT's settings, or if you can't do that, try and pair it to a different phone so that it doesn't keep trying to bother your Note 8.

You Are Right.
seems like my CAR BT has a list of paired devices, that when any of them is in reach it tries to connect to it, so tough i Unpaired CarBT from phone, my car still has it in it's list and tries to connect, but my phone requires password cause I've UnPaired them.
removing my phone from that list SOLVED the problem (the pop up and the notification sound)
BUT, I would better like them to be Paired AND Not Connect Automatically. is this possible in android?
cuz you know when i want to connect to CAR BT i have to PARK and re-enter the password (then they are paired and i have to Unpair and delete device from list again)
it would be nice to have them paired but only connect when i want (for music play)

What happens if you pair them, but switch off the media facility? Then you can just enable/disable the media as and when you want to use it in the car?

I didn't quite understand that, but i think the best solution (for me) is to let my phone connect to both CarBT and LevelU, then i disable call audio for CarBT from my phone's paired device settings.
so CarBT has only Media audio
and LevelU has both Media and call (so both works when im out of car and only connected to LevelU)
then, when i'm in my car and connected to both LEVEL and CAR, i set the audio output (from samsung connect panel on pull-down notification area) to CarBT, but since CarBT doesn't have CallAudio, the music will play on car, but during a call, music is paused and call audio comes from my LevelU just as i wanted
i'll have to test for a while for any flaws...
i think you kinda meant the same thing?
