can someone help me i unlocked my cingular 8125 to use with tmobile but im lending to my brother and he has cingular do i have to lock it back or will it read his sim card?
You shouldn't have to lock it back. Once it's unlocked it should take just about any SIM card and register to the correct network.

hi isn't there a tool for unlocked the phone, just like for the hermes???. I don't have a tmobile sim card, and currently i am out of the usa, and i think everybody will like to give a donation to a developer, instead of given 30-40 dollars to an unlocking cellphones company, so i can not bealive that no one can unlock this phone.
regards
there isn't such a tool. I have no idea how the hermes forum could come up with such an app. The sim lock, however, is by the phone. Borrow a sim card or go get an el cheapo prepaid
contact jockyw2001 and he'll provide you a fast solution
If you want to unlock your phone I suggest you email T-Mobile and they walk you through getting one and it's free. I just unlocked mine today. All I did was log onto my T-Mobile account and searched unlock Sim. It'll tell you to email them with some info and they'll send you an unlock code. I told 'em I was going out of the country and the next day I had a code. I can now use my At&t sim card in my Wing.
hi peeps, i have put my o2 xda2 back into service and used the excellent unlock giude from this forum (itsme' guide) and unlocked my phone to try and use with a t-mobile sim.
Having run the v.1.6 on it, when i put my t-mobile sim card in the phone i get the t-mobile logo and 4 bars of reception however it wont allow to me to make/receive calls or sms etc any ideas on how to fix this or what the problem maybe?
thanks in advance
it sounds like tmobile sim is old.try sim in different phone and see if it has same problem.if so a new sim should cure it
I recently called up at&t and told them I was going over seas and i had an extra sim ( I dont really have an extra one ) and they proceeded to give me a code which to unlock the other sim. My question is am I able to unlock my current at&t sim with that code, and if so how can I do that?
Thanks

If you want your phone to work on any carrier network and to be able to use prepaid SIM cards just borrow from a friend a non att SIM card (like T-mobile).
Power down your phone; insert the "alien" SIM card; power up.
The phone will request you to enter the unlock code. Enter it. Remember that you have only 5 attempts otherwise the phone will be permanently locked to ATT and there is no EASY way to unlock it.
When finished, swap the cards and you are done.
thanks alot man, i just did that and it seemed to work. i just put my original sim back in, is there any way to verify that my phone is unlocked?
lol, put that other non-AT&T sim back in
Hello everyone..i know this has probably been answered but i cannot seem to find it...I have a friend that has gotten a G4 8125 that has a cingular sim card...she wants to make it so that it can go to Tmoble...but tmoble says that the "phone" has to be unlocked..i Looked into the lockiwiz program but it says you need the other sim card..tmoble wont give them a new sim card..so how do i unlock the "phone" so that they can bring it to tmobile and they wont have anyproblems?
Hello,
I have recently just got back to the U.S from europe and have been given a blackberry phone with an AT&T sim card by my father. And have a HTC Topaz running ENERGY ROM but when i put the sim card from the Blackberry into the Topaz it doesn't work. It says:
Sim Lock
"network is locked, please input unlock code"
I used to have a pay as you go AT&T card last year and it worked fine but this one doesn't seem to work on my Topaz.
Any ideas on how to make it work?
I appreciate all information and help handed!
Thank-you in advance!
