Password? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

so.. I woke up today and looked at my Kaiser and it's telling me to enter a password to unlock it... I never set any password for it.. and I've tried 3 times.. and no luck..
If I continue trying will it lock my phone?
and what caused this?
I just woke up and it was like this.

probably somebody.... got ahold of your phone and set a password on it . I believe u can unlock it by just calling ur phone, or soft reset

No one touched my phone. I always have it on me.. soft reset doesn't work.. I have to take out the battery, but why would it automatically pop up like that? it was fine before I went to sleep.. then when I woke up it says enter password. Ohh.. calls didn't work either.

If you keep trying, nothing will happen, it's not a SIM PIN code, so don't worry about locking your phone. Soft reset won't help.

[q] help... (none of the reset method works on my galaxy s)

HI,
I got this Galaxy S which was locked due to too much pattern trials... Now i want to hard reset but the problem is none of the hard reset method is working...
I tried Volume down + Power
Volume up + Home + Power
and every time it just loads on the screen and ask for gmail account and password which i don't know unfortunately....
This may be of use to you, since not every SGS shipped from factory with the 3-Button Recovery:

From thinking back to when I did mine, the Odin method is probably your best bet as you should be able to do the 'adb reboot download' with it just switched on..

you don't know your GMAIL username and password? or just your password?
If the password is your problem, why not reset your password at the GMAIL website via your computer then use that to unlock your phone???

Hmm... this is a bit strange. How come you are in possession of a phone for which you don't have the lock pattern OR gmail a/c and password?
I hope you are not trying to unlock somebody else's phone!

On my verizon diamond, i went to lock the screen "phone works perfect just screen is locked", and when i pressed the 4 characters it locked the screen...well come to found out i guess i didnt use the normal 4 characters i usually use, and ive tried literary 20-30 different 4 character entry's some what close to what i normal use and nothing correct so far,
and i Google search doing a hard reset and even just got off the phone from land line trying to do a hard reset, I was told with the phone turned on, volume down, center button and press the soft reset button....and that doesn't work their....
Is their a master password i could input to unlock the screen "phone works perfect screen is just locked"

[Q] Encryption - not being prompted for password at boot

I restart my phone daily, and after powering off, when I start it, I initially get the swirling dots, and then the screen to enter my pin ( white screen - not the lock screen). After I enter the pin, in get swirling dots again, and it then show me my home screen..
That is the normal behavior... Worked fine every day... Till today.
Today, when I powered off, and powered on, I never got the initial screen to enter my pin. After the swirling dots, it took me straight to my lock screen and asked for my pin. No idea what changed. I didn't decrypt my phone. Settings/ security still shows encrypted. I've restated 3 times, no difference. Straight to lock screen. Any ideas as to what has happened?
I'm on stock 5.0.1, rooted with auto root, boot loader unlocked. Nothing else. No change since the day I flashed 5.0.1 images. I did not disable encryption.
Edit: the only thing that comes to mind is that I installed last pass premium, and enabled it in accessibility. I then removed the app ( didn't like it) - not sure if that could have caused this issue?)
Looks like it is a known bug

I also had that problem, for me was the solution to go to security and change my password what i have set. So I don't select pin but password. Then restart the phone. If right is will ask for you password. And then go to you lockscreen. If it works you can switch back to pin again. Hope it helps

FWIW- I'm having this problem now/still... On two devices, oddly/incidentally.
I posted this elsewhere... But I'm having the same problem. Any thoughts? I can post more details, but don't want to repost this everywhere that I see people having the same unresolved problem.

* It used to be that when I did a reboot or shutdown and restart, I would have to enter a password before the system fully started.
* But now the phone boots into the phone without putting in my password. I can reboot the phone and it will boot all the way to the Lock screen, and I can unlock the lock screen with my fingerprint or my backup password.
* I am concerned that somehow my device is either no longer encrypted or that there is some setting which has stored the boot password.

I just got this too after I've uninstalled Greenify, which adds an Accessibility app, and I guess it triggered this.
Reset your password/PIN again, check the "ask at boot" option and that's it.

Face Unlock periodically doesn't work.

After my last factory reset, my face unlock will just periodically not work. I can hold it right to my face, but it won't unlock. In fact, last time it wouldn't even let me register my face. It gave me an error and told me to restart if the problem persisted. Usually a soft reset will work, but I want to know why this issue keeps happening.
