Hello,
I've been looking for about a week for a way to assign certain sounds when certain people/categories of people in my contact list send an SMS to me.
The only thing I found so was is for symbianOS (MessageTones).
Do anyone know if something equivalent exist which will run on WM6?

i use photocontacts pro...... it lets you assign ringtowns smstones by person or category or profile. There may be a free version out there somewhere but im not sure if it has all the functions.

Photo Contacts got a quirk sometimes on my TyTN II that makes SMS tones loop indefinetely. Quite annoying lol. In case anyone here knows of an alternative to add distinctive SMS sounds please post it here.

funny, i tried ringo mobile 1.301 trial version, works good, and after a softreset, when there is a call it wont ring! the sms still rings, just the call wont ring!
anyone experiencing the same issue?
NB: i used it before with my hermes without any issue

I used zombie's dialer skin for my htc tytn 2 and it worked. But I'm missing the video call button. I attached an imagine.

Go into your settings to see if VideoTalk is enabled.
Registry Setting your looking for..
"HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL" : EnableVT 0 = NO 1=YES

Yes, I have it enabled. I have't flashed any rom. I'm using the official rom that comes installed with the phone.

man, as I said, some dialers dont have video call button. U know that the tilt dont have front camera so they dont need a video call button on their dialers. So if the dialer is from someone who uses tilt, there is probably no button.
Are u sure this dialer should have video call?
how many dialers have you tried and how many of them had a video call button?..
afaik that dialer has not videocall button

sorry posting this thread, didn't see the actual thread posting the solution for this....
I've tried IRC on both of my Tilts and my friend's device as well. It works just fine.
Go *HERE* its a simple registry setting that I made into a cab file. Recorded voice is alot louder than using ICR and theres alot better chance of it working. You can then use the free Voice Recorder included in all Roms or go for something like Vito Audio Notes to auto record all conversations to storage card.
Resco Audio Recorder works for me. If you try it, make sure you open th phone tab in the general options and un-check Record in back round.
Is anyone know for really good and free voice recoder application for my diamond???

It works on the tilt, BUT the recoding of the other person is so low you can hardly make out what was said.
I use Vito Audio Notes. It could record automatically or by push of a button.
if u could not hear other side well, try this cab.
I've got ACR on my tilt with TPCElite v11 Mega and it works flawlessly, when you hang up it asks if you'd like to save the call, the incall audio comes over perfectly (note it comes with TPCElite v11 rom)

I am using Resco Audio Recorder, works fine,
automatically records phone calls, also full options of
normal, usual recording.
