Have you gone to Settings\Today and got TouchFLo ticked?
Also is it not a smartphone the s730? Non touch screen device?
Thanks for answer, no no touch screen based device! Me mate has it running on the S740 though allmost same device.
Because, s730 have:
2.4-inch transmissive LCD with white backlight LED
320 X 240 dots resolution with 65K colors
and s740 have:
2.4 inch TFT-LCD with backlight LEDs and QVGA resolution
Thats make the skin doesnt work eith your s730,.
Hope this help,.

I imagine you posted wrong as comparatizing the same phone lol but i'll answer to what i think your trying to say?
It's not the same 65K does not equal QVGA, the size may be the same but thats it, it's like comparatizing a Dash 320x240 to a Tilt 240x320, so in landscape the Tilt is 320x240, yet the Dash is VGA & the Tilt is QVGA.

Diamond with "Lower resolution display" ???

Question:
is it possible to change the diamond display resolution?
I just want to use the 320 x 240 resolution (QVGA) instead of the 640 x 480.
Or, in alternative, is the TouchFlo 3D in 320x240 available for this device?
(my problem is the too small display..........!)
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english!
i.e you want t draw pixel 4x times? i don't think this will be a good idea?
But is it possible? or not?
People have ported TF3D to QVGA devices such as original Touch Cruise. Maybe look in their forums?
not possible to make a vga screen display qvga apart from using the wvgafix programs
but these programs change only from Wide to Normal resolution.....

TF3D Wallpaper Resolution Question

I did a search so forgive me if this has been answered already.
I just noticed that when setting wallpaper in TF3D that it seems to downscale the resolution of the wallpaper to a lower more pixelated version instead of the nice high res original that you can view via the album.
In the album it looks amazing but as a wallpaper it doesn't look as nice.
What is the deal with this? Is there any kind of fix to get full res wallpapers?
The album app doesn't make it a proper wallpaper. It lowers the quality and resolution, saves it as JPG. TF3D then stretches it.
For proper background you need to copy it to your computer and use CFC GUI or Maranell0's background tool.

sadly this seems to be the only way to have high quality wallpapers on the hero... the app works fine, but the wp has to be reapplied after every reboot...

You can put them in Rosie.apk with Metamorph, then they are crisp and fine.

well, as rightfood thaught us you can put them in your sense app file. but that needs a rooted phone and is "hacking" to some degree, so actually wp s&s would be the more "regular" way. and yes, it is sad that there is the need for third party apps, but that's the way it is...
oh,.. i dont want to root my phone yet... :\
lag delete please
hum i found a strange thing...
i downloaded that "Backgrounds" app available on market and when i apply a background with the app the background doenst loose quality...
but if i download that same background from "Backgrounds" app and apply it manually...the background looses quality again...
what a weird thing... err
i use backgrounds and wallpaper plus available from market
work fine for me
Please try with some more higher resolutions other than 72 dpi.
The official HTC Hero page says this:
"Display: 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 320x480 HVGA resolution"
Which means the correct dimensions are 480x320.
Since it's HVGA, so you need to experiment with some more resolutions to try out which one is best...
And do let us know...

erm, no.
that would end up with the picture being not only pixelated, but stretched as well. the display is 480 pixels high, so creating a wallpaper that is 320 pixels high would just chuff everything up.
The wallpaper changes slightly as you go from one homescreen to the next, as it is actual;ly LARGER than the screen. The general rule is 640x480 (yes it should be landscape, even though the screen is portrait), and from what i think i read in other places, you should use PNG files and not JPG files for the background.
but creating a 480*320 file to use as background will just make things worse.
But yeah, i think using the higher DPI in the wallpaper is something to look at.

Hi,
I tried to change the resolution in brave frontier (game) and it only works for the DPI. I don't think the res was changed. Anyone has the solution
Thanks
