WM 6 (Orwell) - Wizard turns itself on every 1-5 minutes

Somebody told me that I shouldn't ask in the WM 6 Thread - ok, here's a dedicated one. Hope that's ok.
My Wizard bothers me - it turns itself on (while it's turned of) every 1 - 5 minutes when the memory card is inserted. Is it just me or does anyone of you have the same problem (and a solution??).
I'm running Orwells1984 on a G3.
Sry for this new account but i've lost the pwd for my old one.

that question has been asked and addressed in the same thread "someone" told you not to post in.
whats going on lately with all simple questions. its like more than usual now.
please people, read and search before you ask questions that have been answered a million times.

ok, thanks for your answer but i'm a bit confused ... someone tells me 'dont ask here' (while i obviously was in the correct thread) ... another one tells me that the answer already exists in the thread where i placed the question ... hey, i don't want to post spam threads and i've already used the search function (but i wasn't able to find something regarding my issue). but, guys - it's better to give a hint (thx hiimcliff) than giving senseless answers (someone).

i'm not flamming. don't get me wrong. its just better to ask that quesiton in the same thread than to spam the board with the same type of threads.
i think this subsection needs a mod though. honestly.

hey hiimcliff ... you're totally right (and i tried to explain that in my previous answer). ppl should turn on their brain before opening threads AND they should use the search function. absolutely d'accord. when you look into the wm6 rom for wizard thread, you'll see that i posted this question initially there - until someone told me that this is the wrong place ... that's the thing that made me confused .
but now ... still looking for the right answer regarding my prob ...

From what I've read, this is a know issue with the 1984 rom. I don't recall anyone coming up with a fix for it. Most just use one of the PDAviet roms - version 4 seems to do the trick.

I'm seeing the same behavior on pdaviet3. I think it may be related to Windows Live sync and/or the Windows Live today screen item but I'm not quite sure yet.

Uncheck Settings->System->Backlight->BatteryPower->Turn off backlight if device isnt used for ... min
And check Settings->System->Power->advanced->Turn off device if not used for ... min (In battery section)
After that Wizard will not turn on constantly.
btw Its not just WM6 issue, i had that on all AKU 3.x.

Changing the settings solved the problem. Thanks vasp205! Another solution is to lock the device.

hi have a trinity i was runing HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1 in the upgrade step the pc went down.now wen i turn on it dont pass bootscreen,any solution for this?

The answers are supposed to be in one of the stickies post on the top but us noobies cannot understand the hocus-pocus that is required to be done.
And nobody is interested in making this knowledge accessible to us. Obviously.

Still don't know if it would work on SPV m700 and if it would work at all 'cos my PC does not see the device plugged in with USB. I'll keep on chewing.

the problem is it upgrade only 1% nothing more.

I solved white screen problem installing lwsw image before.

You can try a hard reset, holding in the com manager and voice recorder buttons and hit the reset. (Read the WIKI).
You will lose your data and settings, but you may recover the phone.
You could also help by telling us how you got into that state.

Please don't post the same question in 2 different threads. Use the search button, read the stickies, this is one of the most common questions here at xda...do some research, you'll learn so much about your device, it will be worth it.

Mine is also stuck, and I created a new thread about it. I have tried different recovery theories with no luck though.

At&t Tilt sudden problem

All of a sudden my phone turns on with a white screen and some weird mixed colors...Please help, I can't do anything to it. It just keep turning on the the same weird image.

I noticed that you posted 2 threads about the exact same things. If this problem was so important why didn't you add more information to help people?
What ROM is on your phone, what happened before this happens, what have you tried to fix it, have you even searched to resolve the problem?
Is your white screen of death related to the normal white screen?

I am one of the unlucky ones that have this isue on mine kaiser phone. I have read about such solutions:
1. buy new phon/send to service, if have warrinity.

For the first solution, well i have no warrinity and buing new phone, FORGETIT....
2nd sollutions is no solution at all... thats only a way how to burn down your phone.
So 2nd solution turned m to some ideas about what could be wrong and how to fix it. Since i dont want to destroy min phone compleatly i am despret to find decent solutions. But to understand and find solution i need on thing. THat is full elecronic circuitry (scheme). With it i could try to understand what is that make that light + would be hi chanse to learn how to fix it, so please if anyone have full elecronic circuitry post it here or send to me.
Sorry for making new threat but didnt wanted to put it at end of threat which mostly is made of sentences "i have the same problem".

Does noones response mean that noone have full elecronic circuitry? or that noone who cares have it?
